Laura & Aladin: A Whole New World (of Shit)
mamadrama replied to Drogo's topic in The Couples (Spoilers)
Sometimes having no credit is worse than having poor credit when you're trying to finance something. Credit cards can definitely help, and be a fast way, to build your credit up. I know some people who have them for that reason alone. They're not the only way, though. A history of paying secured debt off, or at least on time, is also good. When I rent a car from home I go through Enterprise. I don't need a credit card or deposit, I just have to bring a copy of my utility bill. When I travel and rent a car I generally go through a company that will accept a debit card and a small deposit, usually around $100. It depends on the office. Sometimes Alamo will let me rent without a deposit at all because I've had a long relationship with them. -
Laura & Aladin: A Whole New World (of Shit)

I'm surprised by the people on Reddit who are shocked that Laura doesn't have a credit card. Some people don't. My husband's never had one and I haven't in years. I just prefer to pay cash. Also, expecting Laura to have emergency funds...my expectations for her are much lower. -
Geoffrey and Varya: Russian Roulette

He's said both, that he did it for insurance and that he was upset about a breakup. He shouldn't be on it either. -
Michael and Juliana: She's Not! a Prostitute

Not surprising. He's done this to most of the previous cast members as well as other famous people. He's been hijacking other people's posts for weeks in a bid for more attention. -
Geoffrey and Varya: Russian Roulette
mamadrama replied to OnceSane's topic in The Couples (Spoilers)
A few ways: he either lied on the application (obtaining a travel visa to Russia from US is easier than the reverse), he applied before the crime, or the charges changed when he came back (ie, more were added to give us what we see now). And yeah, multiple women made DV complaints. Sharp shouldn't have cast him the first place. Even if they hired him before the most recent charges, he still had some from a few years ago. In a reality show whose concept revolves around being intimate with a partner they should never cast someone with a past complaint of dv. There are more than enough other nutters to choose from. All that aside, dude was still married. Buck shoulda stopped there. -
David and Lana: The Seven-Year Ditch

I can guarantee that if I shared these with Dave he'd cry the 90 Day version of "fake news." There are more, too, on more sites. She basically has profiles on every European dating site. Private Eye didn't lie. -

He doesn't live in a rental house. He owns at least 4 rental houses in Clark County and he uses one of them to film in. The house we've seen is not the one he lives in. This isn't any different than Yolanda filming in an Air BnB. -
I had to leave the live thread a couple of weeks ago because I was birthing puppies. I meant to share these earlier...there are seven puppies. They're all named after characters on SIREN.

It's the most, er, "cats" he's ever had. 😋 -

Mine has been spent spending way too much time caring about these dingbats and keeping up with this show. Seriously, watching the episodes and looking at their SM has become my new part-time job. That, and caring for puppies... Here's how DaddyDrama has been spending his when he's not at his second job... -

That's why it's so hard to take this particular situation seriously. In the real world when someone tells you "no, I don't want to see you again" and the person keeps going at them, it's definitely wrong and creepy (and maybe illegal depending on how far you take it). But in the reality TV world where you have a production company arranging the visa, paying for the tickets, making the travel arrangements, and possibly even providing you with a script of sorts it's easier to side eye. I don't think Varya wanted to go to Knoxville (although she was probably game for a free trip to the US), I don't think Geoffrey really stopped responding to her (this is a man who's done nothing but lie), and I think the only person who MIGHT have been surprised by her sudden appearance (other than the dogs) was Mary. -
I have questions and comments after this one... When they were in the bar and Tia heard her siren song she's all like "they used my song to kill people", like that was the first time the idea had entered her head. I figured that's what SHE had been planning to do all along. If not, then what was her master plan? Take over the world with spears? After last week's episode with the ice mermaids they cheated us out of a fight between the tribes and we only got a few sentences about it. They went through all the trouble of introducing Robb and building up a storyline, and then he was just like, "Welp, saved the world. See ya, suckers!" (I know he probably comes back, but still.) I loved NewChris and Zander in this one. Maddie can take a few steps back with the whole "you two alone got us into this mess."Uh, honey, they weren't a thruple on their own... When will Dale finish up his investigation in Yellowstone? What the HELL happened to Nicole and why isn't anyone mentioning it? Ben without a beard looks weird to me. Too pretty boy. I liked him rugged, back when he looked like he could be a fisherman. If they're going to keep bringing GhostSarge back then why not just keep him on the show to start with? He and Helen offered an interesting dynamic. The Mermaid Karen Cult is almost as scary as Tia. I don't trust those fuckers. Nobody should tell Rick anything. Ever

David and Lana: The Seven-Year Ditch
mamadrama replied to OnceSane's topic in The Couples (Spoilers)
I've seen people put in a ton of work to spoof FB pages for various reasons. Someone did that to mine last year. They downloaded, and then uploaded, more than 100 of my candid shots of my family. They "liked" TV shows and music that I'm into. The bio had my real website and links to my real books on Amazon. They even friended some of my real life friends and family and messaged them in a voice that read like mine. If you were to compare my real page with the fake one you wouldn't have known the difference. I still don't know why they did it, I assume it was to eventually ask people for money or to pull some scam of some kind. I reported it and it was taken down before much happened, though. There are others in my general line of work who have been victims of this, too. My livelihood depends a lot on public perception of me and what I write so that could've been a real clusterfuck. The fact that this FB page still exists, and has only been set to private instead of removed, makes it look more legit. It's probably her. -
David and Lana: The Seven-Year Ditch
mamadrama replied to OnceSane's topic in The Couples (Spoilers)
Yep. I actually think it sounds awesome. I have zero trouble believing that a young woman would be game for that. I know lots of 20 somethings who live in tiny houses, RVs, vans, etc. For me, the implausibility comes from believing she (or anyone) would want to do it with him. -

Yeah, really. They made an entire season out of a 10-minute coffee break and what amounted to a USPS worker dropping off certified mail. -

I don't follow him on SM and have been avoiding his posts, but last night I took a look and yikes! The costumes, the weirdness...dude is trying WAY too hard to be "quirky" or cute. He's desperate. -

She was in Ecuador, but I feel your confusion. If she really sneaked back in then why allow television filming? I know she's not the brightest, but still... -

There are RVs that have more square footage than some NYC apartments. We're in the process of turning my writing studio into a tiny house for my mom and it will be 350 sq ft-roughly the same size as older model RVs and smaller than the newer full-sized travel trailers. -

This looks more like the woman we saw. Being there alone for her nephew isn't weird to me. Maybe his parents couldn't be there so she stepped in. That would explain why the hockey games were so important-someone needed to be there. Or maybe in that short video clip her sister had gone to the bathroom or stepped out to make a call. There are plausible explanations. My main question is when did this hockey game take place? The date says 2018-2019 season. Wouldn't that have been last year? Here, the sports taking place between November 2019-March 2020 would be called the 2019-2020 season. AFAIK David filmed his last scenes (meeting Lana) this past winter. My other comment would be that since the woman in the profile picture on the Facebook page is wearing the same coat that Lana wore in the episode, is it possible someone created a fake page for her by just taking a screenshot? It wouldn't be hard to do. We know she apparently likes working out, makeup, hockey and Pvlorhad. Since the page was made private instead of just removed altogether, though, that DOES make it look more legit. -

Social Media: What's Up With Her?
mamadrama replied to ClareWalks's topic in My Big Fat Fabulous Life
Our state, which houses 3 couples from 90 Day Fiance, has been under strict restrictions and still is. Most everything is still closed outside of grocery stores and we've not reopened for filming, or even church, yet. We're all still under stay at home orders, and it's very possible that our public schools will remain online in the fall. My husband teaches at a state university and they're not sure what they're going to do yet, either. There are a few different reality shows, as well as movies, that were in the middle of filming when everything shut down and they've not been allowed to start back up yet. -

There are so many people that I like better on Pillow Talk than I did on their seasons: Tim, Veronica, David, Annie, Molly...Actually, I really did like Molly during her season, but her (IMO) irresponsible decision to keep Luis around after the way he treated her kids poisoned the water a little.
