  1. I think they're editing out his translation part. That way we're not hearing the same thing twice.
  2. David doesn't care if Lana can communicate or not. He didn't pay the extra money so that his sex doll could talk.
  3. David. NOTHING about this is "normal." But now that Lana is real David feels vindicated for all his creepery.
  4. I love black roses, they're my favorite. I'm a country/bluegrass person and the only vampires I enjoy are Jason Patric and Keifer Sutherland.
  5. I'm still waiting on a Romani 600 lb incarcerated little person with octuplets who "falls in love" on a Russian dating site.
  6. Oh I am HERE for the Laura drama. I want her to spill the tea on everyone.
  7. The travel protection IS a good benefit, for sure. A lot of times the cc car insurance for rental cars alone is worth it. ☺️ Internationally I'm still covered under the travel guide book series I worked for. (I still do freelance work for them.) AAA also covers quite a bit and if I'm going off track IMG Global has been good to me. There's been a lot of places that some plans wouldn't cover.
  8. They've had a couple of small time actors on the show. Caesar, Tim, and Libby were as well. Although they were actors, though, most of their stories were real. Libby was on a few TV shows and commercials, but she still married Andrei and they had a baby. I don't think they hired Geoffrey to pretend to go to Russia and date Varya. But yeah, Varya going to the US was production driven.
  9. It's easy enough to get around that: produce a return ticket, copy of the deed to your house, etc. It happens in other countries as well. The UK also wants to know that you have a place to stay and have plans to leave. As long as I've produced an address of where I'm staying, though, they've waved me away. They've never checked into it. Do we know if Ash is a citizen or a permanent resident? As a citizen he can come and go as he pleases. Of course, it wouldn't take him a year to wait for a passport if he's a citizen. As a permanent resident, much like in the US, he can live and work in Australia but with a few caveats. The biggest is that he can leave and re-enter Australia as many times as he wants in a 5-year period, as long as the visa is valid. After 5 years that expires and he'd need to apply for either a Resident Return visa (reentering AUD as a permanent resident) or citizenship. If he's planning on traveling to the US on an Australian passport as an Australian citizen then THAT is what he's waiting for, not the passport. My guess is that Ash is there as a permanent resident but has applied for, but not yet received, citizenship. Once he has it he can then apply for a passport and come and go as he pleases. Permanent residents can't get Australian passports.
  10. This is what I see, too. Even after Lana had stood him up for the third time (the train station in Odessa) she STILL sent him a message asking if he wanted to meet for "pictures for the visa." I think it's clear to us that she was never going to see David (until someone made her) but I can see how it may not have been clear to David. He truly was getting mixed messages. Of course, a normal, healthy person would've seen it for what it was (a scam) and been like "screw this" and let it go, but I think David's proven that he's not, so...
  11. Re: Laura not seeming to have the money to buy a plane ticket or not having a credit card (or having one that's maxed out). I've been surprised at the number of people who seem to be surprised at the idea of not having a credit card. Because my SM is set up for readers and fellow writers, my pages are a cross section of men and women of all ages from all over the world. I posted about not having a CC and here are some of the responses I received in return. These all came within the past 45 minutes. (Note: the commenters hold a variety of jobs, are of different ethnicities, and fall into different income brackets. Ha ha, and at least one of the commenters is someone from this 90 Day board.) It wouldn't surprise me if Laura wasn't completely maxed out. Between airfare to Ecuador and cost of living, that TLC money wouldn't have gone far. And didn't they even refuse to pay her because she broke her NDA? I honestly don't know how she's gotten by for as long as she has.
  12. It depends on which pool you're taking your sample from. Here, where I am, it isn't "unusual" at all. Also, who the heck said anything about not having debit cards? It wasn't me. The post was about credit cards, not bank accounts. I also didn't say that ALL Millenials lived like that. That's just...odd. I'm not really sure why it matters or why it's such a big deal? You do your thing and I'll do mine. If the conversation is going to continue to be personal, however, then I'll be happy to pick it back up in "Small Talk." Though, honestly, I never thought the way I pay for things would be that interesting of a topic. My original comment was simply an observation about Laura (as in the context of the show) and how low my bar was for her. She's not shown herself to be responsible in any other way, so it's not surprising to me that she didn't have emergency funds or a contingency plan.
  13. Hey, if Lana is real and Danielle can get an endorsement then anything is possible.
  14. We've had several conversations about Geoffrey and his acting roles. You can find more of that in his couple's thread: Some of the cast members have acting experience and bit parts on their resumes (Libby, Caesar, Geoffrey) but I don't think they're making up everything we see, especially since some have gone on to get married and have kids. I don't think they were hired to pretend all of this, though they do play up a lot of it and embellish. I do, however, think that their acting experience and desire for fame is what made them apply to the show in the first place.
  15. Australians can get an expedited passport in three weeks. Since Ash isn't applying as an Australian, but as an immigrant, I'm sure there's more red tape involved. Still, even as an over estimate a year seems abnormally long. When my husband applied for an American passport (he's in the US legally as a permanent resident) it took 3 months-and wait time was uncharacteristically long at the time. Ash's Australian citizenship status might be what's causing the issue-IF there's an issue at all.
  16. I could *maybe* see having a preference for Eastern European women, but this fetish is oddly specific.
  17. I can't believe NONE of them saw the thing with Hunter coming. Also not cool to let Hope run around the store damaging things. If a dad has to die, my daughter volunteers Ted. Didn't realize how much I liked Jerry until he got Tia'ed. But seriously, Tia is more dangerous to the merepeople than humans are...Someone needs to take this bitch out. Ted, in a hospital looking at Xander hooked up to a bunch of tubes with imagery of his brain hanging up and doctors running around: "He needs MEDICAL care!" I want to play "best hunter in the ocean" with Cammi. That is all. PS- we're fostering a mother dog. My daughter named most of the puppies after characters. Meet Ryn, Cammi, and Hope.
  18. I've been saying that on here since the first few episodes he was on. Corey/Evilyn have been frauding everyone from the beginning. That's why I haven't been able to hate on her. All of their arguments and her bitching at him and making him jump through hoops are fake. They created this "poor Corey/evil Evilyn" narrative as a way to stay relevant and to keep on the show. I think they even practiced some of their arguments before filming them. Occasionally one of them might have crossed the line (like when, in the middle of one fight, Evilyn was like "you mean for real?"), but I don't buy a single thing happening naturally. I also think Corey played up with "Evil Evilyn" story more than she thought he would. IRL I think they're both nasty people and, like many of the others, will do anything to keep the fame train moving down the tracks-even if it means throwing other people (or each other) under the bus.
  19. Honestly? I enjoy Pillow Talk more. My only complaint is that it doesn't cover the entire episode.
  20. I am totally rooting for the Lanas of the world. Oh, and David? If you've been with over 100 Ukrainian women over the past 15 years (8 if you were monogamous while you were "dating" "Lana")? That's not dating...I've been through fewer burritos at our local Mexican restaurant.
  21. I didn't watch their season and only know them through Pillow Talk. Can someone give me the TL: DR version of them on their season? Cause I kind of like them on PT, but I know that can be deceiving.
  22. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, if you can. The last picture shows her in the polka dot dress.
  23. "Cash" referring to money that I already have, money as in what's in in my bank account. Money I don't have to pay back. I was a travel writer based abroad for years. I worked as a reviewer for one of the biggest, maybe THE biggest, budget travel series. It required me to stay in multiple hotels throughout the month. I have lived in several different countries. I got my MA in the UK. I travel frequently abroad for work. I've never once had an issue because I didn't have a credit card. It's not been an inconvenience in the slightest. I know it may sound weird, but we gave up a lot of things like that. I don't even have a cell phone and haven't in several years. More and more, Millennials and the upcoming generation are starting to give up things that. We have many friends, mostly younger, who live as offgrid as possible without cell phones, electricity (generators), plumbing (compost toilets), etc yet still hold good jobs and travel. Some don't even have bank accounts anymore-they put their money on prepaid debit cards when they need to book airline tickets or whatever. It's possible to live without them, you just have to be a little more creative sometimes.
