  1. Yeah, I know what he said. I just want to know why he really did it.
  2. I hope she donned a disguise in the airport bathroom and took the long way home anyway, just in case.
  3. Some people use humor to cope with grief. I may not do that, but I can't judge other grieving parents who do. Sometimes you just have to do whatever will get you through the day/hour/minute. What I was referring to is when people say or do vile things and use the death of their child as an excuse or justification for their behavior. i.e. Geoffrey physically assaulting a woman but thinking people should overlook it because he lost a child. Lisa publicly berating and embarrassing Usman and using "but I lost a child" in defense of her actions.
  4. He's in the background at one of the party scenes.
  5. Anyone else think Lana went to the airport with him to make sure he actually boarded the plane? 😉
  6. He also said that Lana couldn't use the iPhone he bought her because her nails were too long, and that he'd "dated" more than 100 Ukrainian women. David's words don't hold a lot of water.
  7. I hate it when people play the dead kid card to excuse their abhorrent behavior or to illict sympathy when they know they're doing something wrong. I say that as someone whose youngest son died unexpectedly. I am truly sorry that Lisa lost a child, regardless of said child's age, and I have sympathy for her on that. But using our children's deaths as justification for jackassery or as a get-out-of-jail-free card is, IMO, wrong and disrespectful to their memories. And that's what I felt like she was doing.
  8. Current circulating rumor is that his "friend" who runs one of the websites is actually his business partner and he co-owns the site he "met" "Lana" on. They're saying that's how he got "her" address, how he's spent so much money (ie, he hasn't really), why he's made so many trips, etc. I know he knows the owner of the site from the LOVE, ME documentary, but I don't know if that's the same friend he was referencing or not. Anyway, just sharing. Not sure i buy it,but still a fun theory to marinate on.
  9. Tom posted a bunch of pictures of him living the fine life: gourmet meals, expensive clothes, 1st class vacation, cars...for weeks he carried on, posing as a rich playboy. And then the original pictures were found. He'd stolen every one of them from other people. When he got caught he deleted all the posts and slunk away for awhile. https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/90-day-fiance-star-tom-brooks-blasted-by-fans-for-fake-luxury-photos.html/ He also said he lives in an English manor house and that his parents live in the "west wing." Not true. He lives in an ordinary looking council house (kind of like our low-income housing but not). There are more examples out there.
  10. I went through the whole thing upset because I thought Kenny was Michael from the Sandra episode of HOARDERS, and I was crushed that he'd left Eric... And then I realized that the guy's name was Kenny and that sounds nothing like "Michael." Doh. Now I have to watch it again in a better mood.
  11. And at least they're owning the way they live and not trying to pretend to be something they're not (ie Tom, Darcey, Jesse...)
  12. The Russian scenes were filmed last summer, Varya was in knoxville in the fall.
  13. I love how slapping a logo on a pre-existing item is "designing" to them.
  14. David reminds me a lot of the traits of the incel community. Also, I am 99% sure that David is in that documentary.
  15. I like Larry and Jenny. I think they're a good example of how not every happy couple has to be beautiful or fit or rich or live on a Pinterest board. Their scenes show a life outside of what we normally see on reality TV.
  16. I appreciate the bonding experiences this forum provides, but might I suggest a simple cheesecake next time? 😉
  17. Much like "fetch" they need to realize that Jesse isn't going to happen.
  18. Pillow Talk has made me do complete 180s on some of these people.
  19. Ha ha, your comment is funny because they really did show a lot of the Communist style, bleak buildings. They were sure pushing that aesthetic. Varya is right, though, in that eastern Tennessee does look like parts of Siberia: rolling foothills gradually leading to rounded mountains, farms, creeks and rivers, lots of fog over valleys...There are some beautiful rural areas. The first time I went there I was a little disappointed because it looked so much like home. (I'm not from Knoxville, but same geographic area.) The cities, though, can be colorless and bleak. Knoxville as a town would definitely win most contests.
  20. It was never a permanent residency, just places to film. They had an actual apartment (though I do think his son lived in the firehouse for awhile).
  21. I think I'm going to take @silverspoons word for this appearing to be played up for the show since she has seen him when the cameras aren't rolling. I can't definitively judge someone's parenting ability from a TV show known for embellishing and misrepresenting facts and personalities. The people I know IRL have little in common with the characters they create and exaggerate on the show. They made David look like a sad sack sponging off his buddy Chris and unable to provide for Annie and himself, when in reality he'd been teaching online since Thailand and made decent money. They didn't even live in Chris's building, that was for show. I take everything with a grain of salt.
  22. I'm an author, too, and spend my time in a similar fashion. I have a 300sq ft building on our farm that's been converted into a writing studio for me, but it's basically a little house. Sometimes the kids and I sleep out there, sometimes if my husband is up late working on his podcast he does. We're both introverts who enjoy being together but also really like our own space. My mom hasn't dated in more than 30 years and she thinks Jon and Rachel's situation looks fabulous.
  23. My mom prefers it. She's never lived with a man, not even when she was married many moons ago. She prefers her own space. She likes having someone to talk to and to occasionally be physical with, but she doesn't like the idea of having to get someone's input on what's for dinner, living room paint color, etc.
  24. Why the fuck was Jesse in a hotel room in Amsterdam instead of his apartment? Was it seriously for the sauna? (Also, I've never seen a sauna in an individual hotel room.) That was so weird. Even his mom was like WTF. I did enjoy how she rushed him off in the middle of his meandering "look at how polite and loving I am" speech for the camera.
