Jihoon's no prize, but Deavan rented an Air BnB for them. She didn't navigate through the complicated Korean real estate market. It will be years before they can afford that. The cow only improved Jenny's apartment. I don't like Brittany, but I vote for her to turn back around and leave. When her dad sees that scene he's going to flip. I liked the producer's "why me?" I got nothing for Ariella. Can't snark on Kenny and Armando. Yet. -

I'm all for women doing things that make them feel good about themselves, but I draw the line at this stuff. For one thing, it seems like this would be more for the guy's benefit. My husband could seriously care less. -

Re-virginization is when they basically recreate the hymen and tighten the vaginal muscles. Labiaplasty is when they do surgery on the labia to make the lips smaller, more even, etc. -

This franchise is suffering the same fate as TEEN MOM. The first season or two showed real teen moms struggling with bills, trouble with jobs, etc. But as the MTV money started rolling in it was obvious that the "we have no money" plotline was contrived. By refusing to acknowledge the show and their source of income it just made everything look so fake. Now we're seeing it on here. The narrative this season must be "returning to my native country." We're seeing it in Colt/What's her name, Kalani/Aseulu, Libby/Andrei, Paul/Karine, Syngin/Tania, etc. They're worrying about "money", but obviously TLC is fronting the cost. Libby's dad isn't paying for their trip to Moldova, Aseulu isn't saving money for Samoa. By ignoring the fact that they're all earning money from advertising, TLC, appearances, cameos, etc they're creating fake conflicts. -

Someone on the live thread asked if Angela's OBGYN was an actress. Nope! She's a real doctor in Savannah. We own a vacation house on St. Simon's Island and we usually spend most of the summer there (not this year-I have covid and both my son and dad have cancer). I got a referral to that doc, but I didn't end up keeping the appt. -

And in Kentucky we have some laws that are hard to get around. If you allow someone to stay in your home X amount of days (think it's 90, but could be less) you can't just make them leave. Well, you CAN, but they can fight it. They actually gain rights for staying that long and sometimes you have to go through the eviction process. Money doesn't have to exchange hands for this to get tricky. -

That's really interesting and it DOES describe my husband (who was diagnosed 16 years ago). He gets fixated on one topic and almost becomes obsessed with it. That topic will totally take over his life and he'll research the hell out of it...until something else comes along years later. Ask him about pop culture, current events, or anything else and you'll get a blank look. He can talk to his classes and on his podcast just fine, but in a social context he becomes zombified. He is incapable of reading between the lines, picking up on social cues, and showing sympathy (even though he feels it). Personally, I miss his knife phase. He designed and created some real beauties. Asuelu may just be a few fries short of a Happy Meal. Either way, Family Kalani don't seem to be communicating well with him. -

I'm not sure that she CAN change her visa to a K-1 while she's in the US. The final interview must take place at the US consulate in the person's country of origin. This was a big issue for us since I'd literally JUST given birth. My husband was here as a tourist but right after our son was born he got the alert for the interview. He quickly had to buy a plane ticket and rush back to London so that he could do the interview. He also had to get a chest x-ray and physical from a US consulate approved doctor in the UK. Then, once approved, US passport control had to stamp him upon flying back to the US. If all that could've been done here then we'd have done it here. Him leaving when our son was a week old and the expense of travel was not ideal. -

Yeah. Geoffrey has a permanent record that shows violence against women. Several different women. He's a scary mofo for sure, but at least a background check would give you a heads-up. Paul, on the other hand, does not. He was charged with burning down his house, but that was insurance fraud. Still bad, but it's a different kind of crime than burning down a house as a means of killing someone. He also had an EPO out on him from an ex. Still, that's much different than having 4 EPOs out from 4 different women. Point being, it's easy to look at Geoffrey and see that he's a "bad" guy. With Paul, it's not. That one can sneak right up on you and, in my experience, that can be even scarier. We're taught to stay away from the "bad guys" who hit women. But what about the "nice" guys in sheep's clothing? And that's before we even start talking about Paul's other issues: emotional abuse (threatening divorce during every argument), guilt tripping (threatening to kill himself and making Karine think it's her fault), belligerence, scattered and unexplainable behavior (jumping out of the car, running off in a dangerous park, etc). We knew what Geoffrey was before the season even started. We KNOW what he's capable of. It took awhile with Paul. -

I don't see it as the same thing. Larissa pronounces it as "Coltee" because she has trouble with some English pronunciations and therefore inadvertently adds that "ee" to the end. She does it with several other words, but she's not always consistent. It's not like if you traveled to Brazil everyone would accept "Coltee" as a standard pronunciation of Colt, it's a Larissa thing. pee-AIR-eh, on the other hand, IS an acceptable pronunciation of Pierre there. It's not a Karine and Paul thing, it's a cultural thing. They are not mispronouncing it (well, Paul sort of is), they're pronouncing it in a way that is common and acceptable for her region. Sure it was originally a French name, but language in general is fluid-especially where names are concerned. Language is forever in a transitional phase, especially when the words go international. Pierre, South Dakota is regionally pronounced as "peer." Versailles, Kentucky is regionally pronounced as "vur-SALES." Athens, Kentucky is regionally pronounced as "A-thins". Aluminum in the UK is pronounced as "owl-u-MIN-ee-um." Worcester, MA=WOO-stir. Wilkes-Barre= wilks-BARRY. As annoying as Libby's pronunciation of Andrei is, she's saying it in the way it's commonly pronounced there. I have 4 friends from 4 different countries in eastern Europe named Michal and though it's spelled the same way, they all pronounce it differently: mee-SHAWL, mick-HAIL, mee-HOW, & MEE-shell. If you click on the link I shared you can see that there are many different ways of pronouncing the baby's name. Would I have chosen that name? No, because I know how Americans say it and I wouldn't want to spend my time explaining it and hearing people laugh at me. Does it sound funny? If you're used to the French way? Yes. Are they "wrong"? No. -

If I were married to Paul I'd be in a constant bad mood, too. I'm not a huge Karine fan, but for the sake of her son I wish she'd leave Paul and move back to Tonatin and let her family help with the baby. -
I have no trouble with women breastfeeding in public and I don't mind if they cover up or not. They're breasts and nipples (smaller than Colt's) and are not being used in a titillating (hee hee) way. What I DO have trouble with is that the Karen coven is so vile I feel like they were just showing off or trying to make some dumbass point. I don't think it was about feeding their babies.

I think this is stupid. Letting these crazies have the last word when their egos are already sky high pisses me off. I'd be MUCH more interested in: - Rose watching scenes with Ed and reacting to them - Darcey reacting to Tom's talking heads and social media shenanigans - Karine's parents reacting to scenes of Paul running around and generally acting nuts - Lana reacting to David's talking heads about his relationship with her - Molly reaching to Luis' treatment of her kids - David's friends reacting to Evelyn's singing and comments to David (there's no European dream) - Angela's daughter Skylar reacting to scenes of her mom flipping out on Mykul

As crazy as it sounds, Paul is only slightly wrong in the pronunciation of his son's name. In Brazilian Portuguese, "Pierre" is pronounced pee-AIR-eh. He's turning that "eh" into an "ee", but he's not off by much. To hear it, scroll down to the Brazilian example: https://www.kidpaw.com/names/pierre/pronounce#portuguese-br -

I'm married to a man with Asperger's. He's wildly intelligent. Teaches Anthropology at one of our state's biggest universities, runs a crazily popular podcast that often gets 20,000+ listens or more, and is a fantastic dad and husband. I've had to learn how to change my communication with him, though. He just processes things a little differently. Yelling at him, trying to shame him, guilt tripping him, lecturing-none of those things help. In fact, they just make him shut down. I'm not into internet diagnosing people, but Aseulu has been a part of Kalani's family to where, on the spectrum or not, they should've learned by now that their style of communication isn't working with him. IMO Father Kalani ought to mentor him, take him under his wing, help him. Why not try? Threatening to send him back to Samoa obviously isn't working. -

The fakery of Libby/Andrei/Father Libby shenanigans and the whole "Andrei's not working" silliness has me zoning out on their segments. If they're angling for a spin off they need to remember to keep their mouths shut when they're not filming. -
