  1. Childcare may not be an option. Our cost of living here is one of the lowest in the country and our daycares are still $150 per week, per child. There are places where that amount exceeds $500 per week, per child. My husband stayed home for the first year because childcare was literally more than our rent at the time. Staying in the home truly was our only option. I was a family therapist at the time. It's a huge issue for parents and one of the main reasons it doesn't pay to work for some people. Aseulu doesn't act like he's qualified for many high-paying jobs.
  2. If Aseulu was in a room with a fish and a turtle I'd still check under the rug for dust bunnies before I put him in the top 3...
  3. Paul to Karine: my mommy's so mean! Here in America they make you get your own place to live and everything! And me, just a helpless little kid of 36...
  4. The twins are not heavy, but they wear unflattering clothes that make their bodies look almost disfigured.
  5. Sorry, TM. I know this is late... I lost my youngest son almost ten years ago. He died before his first birthday. He had a heart attack and died in his sleep. It was very sudden, we didn't know he had any cardiac problems. Not a club anyone wants to belong to. Just wanted to let you know you're not alone on here. 💗
  6. The Donner party- America's first family to truly throw each other under the bus (and on the grill) to get ahead in life...If only reality TV had been around in the 1800's...
  7. "She's American, not Christian Orthodox." First of all, "American" isn't a religion, and is she really unaware that you can be Christian Orthodox and still live in the US? We have them here, too. There's actually a Greek Orthodox Church near here and we generally aren't known for our diversity.
  8. So Darcey and Stacey are getting a twin spin off...
  9. There's a middle ground between burka and Vegas showgirl, but they act like there isn't. I'm not conservative at all, but my wedding dress just happened to have sleeves and am empire waist. I wasn't trying to find something with that much coverage, it just happened to be the one I liked the best. Some of these women seem to be going out of their way to find something that shows a lot of skin just so that they can complain about how they're not allowed to wear it.
  10. My son is watching this right now and he's literally wondering if it's too late for us to drive up there and "get Karine." When I pointed out that it would be kidnapping he said, "I'm not so sure that isn't what Paul's trying to do anyway." When I told him that she didn't know us, he said, "Yes she does. I said 5 sentences to her in Portuguese at the hospital. I bet that's 4 more than Paul's said." My son is 13 and also wants to "rescue" Robert's Anny.
  11. Our MMR was given in 3 stages and the first one was at 12 months.
  12. Am I alone in thinking that Libby's dress wasn't even flattering?
  13. This Kentuckian likes Mother Paul and is fine with her as our ambassador this week. In an episode full of Colter's sexy dancing, Asuelu's sexism, Libby's family's ignorance, and Larissa's Joker-worthy mouth, Mother Paul screaming about what an idiot he was was IMO one of the more understandable moments of the show. I'm sure Larissa is getting those for free in return for exposure.
  14. Neither have I. Basketball has always been our big game around here.
  15. The Karen Coven and Moldovagate is almost unwatchable to me. They're being ignorant and offensive and Libby's just encouraging that because she's a shit stirrer.
  16. There are several kinds. Hypermobility is the most common. Doesn't hurt to do some research and ask your doctor.
  17. I have Vascular Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a connective tissue disorder, and in addition to wreaking havock on my cardiac and neurological systems (I turned 40 in March and have had 2 strokes and a mild heart attack in the past 12 months) it also causes young adult onset of osteoarthritis. EDS is genetic and is one of the leading causes of early diagnosed arthritis, though some people aren't even aware they have it. It basically attacks all the joints. At the very least she could shill poop tea! Before my books paid the bills I worked as a freelance writer from home. Never had to leave the house and had more work than I knew what to do with. Upwork is still going strong.
  18. Now, see, in my area even those kinds of jobs are hard to come by. MCDONALD'S was hiring 20 hours a week, no experience and only a GED required, and more than 100 people applied. The area's mostly farms and they won't be hiring on until the fall. Our county has 4 restaurants and one grocery store. Our unemployment rate is more than 40% and people are getting scarily desperate. But shouldn't Connecticut be better? Isn't he within driving distance of several urban spreads? I'm not being sarcastic, I'm really asking. It feels like there should be a bunch of different opportunities up there that he could try. Or... maybe he has a job and all of this is fake?
  19. Isn't it funny that David Poor is one of the few people with an actual job?
  20. As someone who traveled all over the world with her babies, no way would I take my kids to a place that's in the middle of an outbreak.
  21. Depends on the vaccine, but nothing they're getting their kids should be outside the realm of their pediatrician. The MMR is about as basic as it comes.
  22. I kinda respect Angela for spending her TLC money on a basic modular home instead of something way out of her price range.
  23. "Do you like America?" Paul asks after Karine has literally only seen the Louisville airport and an extended stay motel room.
  24. The Karen Coven is pissing me off and the Bridal Moron isn't far behind. This ignorance isn't funny or entertaining and I'm headed over to Twitter to yell at TLC about it.
