  1. I agree. It was neither insightful nor entertaining. Of course I'll still probably tune in next week, too.
  2. I don't think so. For one thing, the side characters on here rarely get paid for appearances. They do the show for free and, in return, we see their business' name. For another, when I was referred to that same doctor the closest appointment I could get was two months away. She's a very reputable doctor in Savannah. She may have agreed to do the show because they told her that they were featuring a possibly post-menopausal woman who was having trouble in her reproductive organs and that this would be a good opportunity to address similar issues to a wider audience. And then we got what we got. She's not hurting for patients. I don't get it, either, but I think @magemaud is right-even negative attention is something. Hell, on reality shows it's the worst people who usually get the bigger spotlight. It literally pays to be awful.
  3. I just saw a post from someone that said "people live in a tiny house and everyone praises them, people live in trailers and they're looked down upon." For some of us a trailer WAS a step up. Why do we immediately think that trailers and trailer parks are bad? For me a trailer meant heating, cooling, the chance to live around other kids, and my own bedroom. I don't think it matters if Colt can apply for another K1 (although he can, having applied for one in the past does not preclude him for applying for another one). Jess doesn't even qualify for one since she's already in the US. You can only apply for a K-1 if you're in another country at the time of application. I don't believe he's really interested in her. This is a production setup.
  4. Good. I hope she did sell them and got as much as possible from them. She had no use for 1,000 thread count sheets when she didn't even have a bed.
  5. And this is where I'm having trouble with the show... Show Andrei doesn't have a job outside of the show and is needling Libby's dad for money. Real World Andrei has a much different circumstance. It's becoming increasingly difficult to watch the show because of all the fakery. It helps to view the show as a dramadey, while knowing that as soon as the producers yell "cut" they all return to their regular lives. There's no way I'd go on a show, though, and pretend to be a lazy bum-especially when said show touts itself as "reality." That shit carries over into real life. They may not really be broke, lazy assholes but one thing's for sure-they're all famewhores.
  6. I have a friend who used to flirt with look-challenged men because, in her words, "Ugly guys need attention, too." She'd do it in a very charming way. Sorry, just reminded me. Carry on.
  7. I'm betting he's already had some sexy time... I know women who Intentionally go after extremely religious men because they love the challenge. Not saying I approve of this, just that I've seen it. Hey, maybe he DOES know about her secret and he's hoping she'll forget about this marriage, too, once they've legally screwed a few times! 😉
  8. The footage that they're showing right now is from around August/September. When I saw them at the hospital Pierre was at the age he is in these scenes.
  9. Me too. Angela is terrified of losing Michael. All her freakouts on him stem from her fear of him leaving her. She's now trained the grids to cultivate this "papa Michael" relationship as another attempt to drag him deeper into the situation. It's weird and also a little sad. If Angela weren't such an unstable hosebeast at times I'd almost feel sorry for her.
  10. Yeah, it kinda sucks. We have some good programs here, but they're often difficult to qualify for and Karine would still be stuck with Paul. With a baby they'd technically qualify for income-based housing (not Section 8 because we're capped on that at the moment), but the reality is that we have more people than available housing. Our state's economy is very shaky, even in our bigger cities and pre-pandemic, and Paul's going to have trouble finding work, what with his history and past job performance. I bet that's why he's encouraging her to do the OnlyFans stuff. They'd be better off moving closer to me. The cost of living here is 60% less than where they're at. I have a farm with acreage and a nice house with ample square footage with a workshop, barn, and writing studio and my mortgage is less than $700 a month. They could potentially live here on Cameo and appearance money, which would at least be something. It's sad to think that she was probably better off in the poor village that took 4 days to access via the Amazon River. I hope she's able to take some free ESL classes (I volunteered and taught them at an adult Ed center for awhile) and continues to improve her English. That will at least give her a little more freedom in that she won't totally have to rely on Paul for everything. Can you imagine her being in a foreign country with no real friends or support system and being completely at PAUL'S mercy? She was already having some post-partum issues. If I were her I'd focus on improving my English, learning to drive, volunteering at an immigrant resource center, etc. This is one situation where I'd advocate for the woman to break off from the American spouse. It's not that I am a huge Karine fan, but I am a fan of women succeeding in general.
  11. I SWEAR I read somewhere that Paul's mother was staying with them in Louisville, but I can't find that info again.
  12. And he kept bringing everything back around to his medical issues. Dude, you're not appalling because of your syndrome, it's because of your personality...
  13. Yeah, I don't believe that. If it's true then what a coincidence that, suddenly, everyone on this HEA season is able to fly themselves and their family back to their home countries... without jobs.
  14. This whole episode frustrated me to the point where I almost couldn't watch it. She blew every opportunity. To think my kids were being neglected and yet STILL refuse to take them? I'd live in a shoe if I had to.
  15. And really, I'd venture to say that most of the relationships on this show are transactional: - BGL gets a young, good-looking "rapper" while he gets a woman with money and possibly a green card - Russ gets a hot Latina and Paola gets to come to the US. -Jorge gets a hot trophy wife while Anfisa gets a "millionaire" and green card - Matt gets a beautiful wife and homemaker while Alla gets a nice home and a better life for her son. Etc. Etc. And it's not necessarily a bad thing for it to be transactional. The idea of marrying for love is a relatively new one and not something all cultures practice. Historically, marriages have almost always been transactional. Doesn't mean they can't work or that they don't turn into love eventually. I personally know Matt and Alla and they're both genuinely lovely people who, IMO, adore each other. Now, anyway. Being allowed to marry whomever you want, regardless of social status or wealth or name, is a luxury in many places. Ed got himself some young, cute ass that he could dress like a doll and pose in the clothes he bought her. Rose gets a middle class American and a green card. Neither one is really conning the other if they're both getting something out of it. My problem is only in that the women are often unfairly targeted as the con artist, and slut shamed, when the men have just as much to do with the situation. I didn't know there were any Lerner's left, either! Huh. Ed was wrong about something, though. He said there's no other way she could've gotten a dress from a store in Mission Valley, but that's not true. Only a TINY percentage of Salvation Army and Goodwill clothing donations make it to the floor. The majority of them are packed off and sold in bulk to companies in Africa...and the Phillipines. It's become such a problem that there's a pretty good documentary out there about how the donations are killing some of the village economies. My husband shows it to his students every semester. I think the dress probably came from Ed, but lots of our castoffs do make it abroad.
  16. And don't forget that many of the items he sent weren't for HER at all, they were for him. (Thousand thread count sheets, grill, etc)
  17. What makes you think they haven't? Have you seen her face? 😁
  18. And I still don't regret cutting my cable cord! ☺️ Well, I have covid-19 and am on oxygen so everything is a bit of a mood killer right now.
  19. That's what I think as well. Brittany is in this for the clout/exposure/freebies. Yazan thinks it's real (I don't think he would get his family involved otherwise). The freakout was real and maybe spurred by his realization that this might not be what it seems.
