The few comments on this episode kind of confirms that maybe the show overstayed its welcone. I also was expecting sone kind of disruption to the wedding, which I guess Hetty's letter was, to the honeymoon anyway. The newlyweds weren't dismayed, so I'm not, either. The wrap sendoff right after was nice. As usual, the men have aged, but not the women (except Gerald McRaney -- how does he do it?). Happy trails, everyone.

The Sheldon character is so one-dimesional, it's easy to forget what a talented actor Iain is. Early on, he and Raegan were part of an ensemble network promo as their natural selves, laughing, and I didn't even recognize him.

George seems to be one of those who has to be looking directly at whoever he's talking to, even while driving. Maybe eye contact is supposed to be an act of courtesy. It may not be distracting to him, but it is to us viewers.

Besides being chronically immature, what is Mandy's problem? If I could give Georgie a bit of advice, it would be, "Don't walk away from this relationship. Run! And take the baby." This woman is the epitome of an unstable self-centered brat. Poke sleeping dogs much? At least Missy is mature enough to recognize and profit from her epiphany in a ditch. The Summer hiatus question: will everyone staying at the Cooper house put a damper on any shenanigans between George and Brenda?

George would be the best one to go with Sheldon to Heidelberg, besides that he deserves it, but leaving him home with Brenda drives the plot. Maybe Pastor Jeff encouraged the congregation to come up with the money just to get rid of Sheldon, but as has been said, the Coopers haven't been going to church, so no existential questions from Sheldon lately. And Pastor Jeff seems like too kind hearted to have real animosity toward Sheldon and his "challenging" questions. I like to think that he really believes this would be a good thing for everyone (if also a relief!). I wonder how life would be for young Sheldon if he wasn't actually a genius besides also having an eidetic memory like Liam Aiken's "Bright Boy" on L&O:CI. How far would schools and universities push/use him without realizing he was just parroting knowledge, not actually understanding it? Sheldon at least has far better parents than "Robbie" did. Or James Egbert, a real 15 year old MSU prodigy tragically pushed too far. Sheldon is lucky to have George and Mary (et al) at his back, no matter what the future holds.

The only thing that's reliably canon is adult Geogie's comment that much of what Sheldon thought was going on wasn't what it seemed, and more was going on that he didn't know about. Both Mary and George right now are themselves reading too much into each other's relationships. Under those circumstances, all bets are off.

Maybe. But her decision-making seems to lean heavily on indecision. It especially grates on me that she blames Georgie lying about his age for her getting pregnant. If he had really been 21+, would it make any difference in her attitude? And mood? How much of that is post-partum and how much is just Mandy? And how much of Mandy is her mom?

"Todd" borders on slapstick. Thank God no one uses laugh tracks anymore to make sure you know what was supposed to be funny.

"Babylon 5" is a sore point with many SciFi fans and its creator. It was presented as the original concept for what became "ST: Deep Space 9," but was rejected, then became a competing show in its own universe. The debate over which is better continues.

I didn't think she pulled them over because of the BOL, but because of their ages and the Texas plates. LOL. My mother and her friend were driving back from a day trip to Ontario with a bottle of undeclared whiskey, and when the border inspector asked to see my mother's car registration, her nervous friend blurted out, "Well, you got us!" By luck, he didn't hear her or chose not to. (Not so lucky the next time -- my mother, the rum runner. 😅)

Intelligence and maturity don't often go to together. Paige is still a young, inexperienced teenager after all.

That scene ranks up there with Georgie helping Missy get an A on her homework. Sweet.

Every time "Where Am I?" comes around, that ending drives me up a wall. The boy keeps crying, "Where am I?" and Brenda just stands there acting helpless instead of telling him his GPS coordinates or bothering to tell CPS that that's what he wants to know. That ending trumps the effort to wring the last ounce of pathos out of the scene. Shame.

In amateur football, in some positions only size matters. In others, skill matters more than experience. Jim Zorn, the Seahawks' first QB, was recruited out of junior college and had never played football before. I would like to see a spin-off eventually with Georgie and Missy, with Montana Jordan and Raegan Revord, of course.

My cousin and his wife did that for (to) their boys until they graduated, one for just the family (aunts & uncles, cousins and grandparents) and one for the boys' friends. A similar ending as Major Crimes 2:19 "Return to Sender, Part 2". Naive boy doggedly follows his friend/idol into the mouth of Hell only to be used by the friend as a human shield. Good show, pretty true to life characterizations. And no pop psychology.

Dad slugging Rusty told me all I needed to know about him. He never should have introduced Rusty to his fiancee and family without getting to know Rusty himself first. And Rusty didn't just blurt out details about his street life, they seemed to have been badgering him even though he didn't want to talk about it. All of them were insensitive louts. As for Andy's turnaround, I've written before about that ride to the bus station. Andy volunteered to take Rusty there just to get rid of him, but the more Rusty talked about his mother and how much he still cared about her, the more Andy softened. And the more he knew that Mom wouldn't be on the bus. Rusty admitting to Sharon that he didn't want Andy to see him crying and Sharon advising the squad, "Rusty's home," still makes me tear up. A well-done episode.

The best, most successful business people are hands-on.

I did think for a minute there that Grisha/Chris was going to announce his retirement. Since you mention it, this episode might have been filmed as a "just in case" parting, the history of network TV being what it is and the cost of everything suddenly rising.

In Michigan during this period, a teaching certificate was required for any classroom teacher. For that, a college degree was required, which included Educ classes, but local school districts often ignored that specific depending on their needs. Even what was taught often was far removed from a college major. The head H.S. football coaches typically taught PE on MWF and classroom Sports-related or Health class on TTh. I'm sure in Texas, looking the other way, particularly when it comes to football, was more the rule than the exception. In reality, if George has a degree, with his experience, if not his record, I'm sure there would be schools and colleges that would hire him. But he would have to relocate.

Aww. Sweet. And no foot-chases or shoot-outs. What an amazing, mixed, extended, growing family. Congrats to the newest members. Still no LGBTQ members in the NCIS universe, though. Not even in LA??
