  1. I liked Kupah, too. And I got it. Even during his meltdown, I still got it and was like, "Yup! Fair point! Not the best delivery, but whatevs."
  2. I thought that a meat waffle had uncooked meat sprinkled throughout the batter (like a pecan waffle or a blueberry pancake). When Riley "tried to cook" the waffle long enough to cook the meat it didn't work, which is why Danny said it was both over and undercooked.
  3. I did "like" Ridge's (nonsensical) rationale that too much of Rick's presence was keeping his other siblings from visiting. Until last year, Rick lived in the guest house. What was their excuse for the decade before this move? Heck, what was Ridge's excuse for not visiting for those 5 years or whatever inbetween Ronnnnnnnn Moss' departure and TK's appearance?
  4. Riley putting on her glasses to try to make Bonnie understand what happened with Tad was great. Glad my Tucker was back, though he was underused. Sipping the martini and then asking Ben to bring it to table 5, and apologizing to Ben for leaving work early with the rationale "I got tired," were my two favorite things. Did Tucker get fired from The Mary Hart Show and I just forgot? Why was he working at the bar?
  5. No one's mentioned my favorite line, which was Ruby screaming something like, "Devil, compel!" while rebuking Bow. Jenifer Lewis is a national treasure.
  6. Ben lives in Denver and he's in software sales.
  7. Flat iron, humidity, relaxer, whatever. It's still not going to have that length after 10 months. Didn't say it looked bad, just that it was more like a 2 year job.
  8. As soon as I saw the shot of Abbie with curly hair, I was like, "So...she's been there for 2 years?" 10 months?! The show trying to tell me that she not only completely grew out of a relaxer, but grew curly hair longer than the previously aforementioned straight hair in only 10 months was the most unrealistic thing this show has ever tried to sell me.
  9. Tahj Mowry's name wasn't in the credits, either. I just checked out his Twitter and he's still tweeting about the show. I was afraid he left for good! Anyway, I started to FF when I noticed Tahj's name was missing and now that I know he's not in this ep, I have no desire to watch.
  10. JoJo being a little cool to him during the pig date was the best. The way he pleaded with her not to be mad at him, saying, "Of all people, you know how this is" and her response of "What do I know?" was gold.
  11. Sorry. I meant during the rose ceremony at the beginning of the show.
  12. I see Ben picked up a play from Lowe's playbook. As soon as he picked up that rose on the two-on-one and asked her to go with him, I knew she was gone. Ben looked like he was on drugs when took Olivia aside before the rose ceremony at the beginning of the show. Glassy eyed, wide stare, blinking a lot. Are you OK, bruh? Everyone icing out Ben on that group date really gave me a lot of joy. Jubilee's irritation would have fit right in this week. Ben trying to awkwardly make conversation and Leah giving him nothing? Oh gosh. Ben: Do you like pigs? Leah: I like pigs. I like to eat pigs. Me: BWAAHAHAAHAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BYE BEN! Caila. Hmm... I don't know what she said, but I think it may have made sense. Yo, that preview for the rest of the season was...intriguing.
  13. I'm happy that my little goofy show is back and even happier that my favorite twins are still playing Emma. Loved it when Ben asked if Zoe would go on a date with them, while placing his hand on Emma's head, and she reached up and grabbed it. Cuties!
  14. I find it fascinating that her one-off line has drawn so much ire from so many people. Not just here, but in a lot of the blogs I read / podcasts I listen to. They're not even pro-Jubilee people but they thought that sentence was so insufferable that they immediately wrote her off. I'd feel bad for her...but I hate her because of that one line! I love you guys for all of your reassurances that Ben ain't all that. I feel like he was drawing me over to the "right reasons" side but I wasn't all the way there. That inbetween place was so uncomfortable. Now I'm firmly back where I belong.
  15. Hey guys. We're friends, right? So, I started blogging about the show this season (I still need to catch up on eps 2, 3 and 4) and I'd love to know what you think? Question mark after everything? I know I'm not quite "the media," but I thought this would be a good place to put this. http://kiaschronicles.tumblr.com/post/138670923500/bachelor2005
  16. Ha! I didn't quite see it like that, but I can see how you did. I think the hand holding thing was fairly legitimate. She was in her own head and she was thinking about only herself. She could have grabbed his hand when they were out of sight, but she didn't (because she probably felt the vibe). When he brought that up, she kind of stopped short because she knew he had a point. She didn't try to defend herself. She conceded. However, she's definitely proven to him to be attuned to him ("I wanted you to be comfortable today because I think you stress out too much") and during that rose ceremony, she told Jennifer (and others) that she was thinking of ways to make him feel better. And she did (with some slight producer manipulation). So it's not like he didn't think she was interested. I call bull on that. I can't believe that no one brought up Ben's dick move, walking in front of the women on the group date, hand in hand with Lauren B., laughing and saying, "Hey guys" as they were walking off. I know there was a back way out of there where he didn't have to walk in front of everyone because that's how he took Jubilee out.
  17. Yes! And I'm kind of torn on this. Just because someone shows you their real side doesn't mean you have to like it. I don't want to put that burden on Ben (or anyone). However, they did have chemistry and they talked at length about some of her hangups and he assured her that those things don't scare him off. To me, it seemed as if he was cool with it because he has something in him that's drawn to a "broken bird." She challenged him on his fake laughing, but he could turn it around to compliment her and make out, so it was all good. Then you have bland Lauren H. -- and there's no chance he will ever move her out of the friend zone -- but she played the part so she gets to stick around. Again, if he didn't want to deal with Jubilee, then he didn't want to deal with Jubilee. His right. Certainly his choice. But when you wax poetic about how you want people to see the real you -- the good, but also the awkward and sometimes ugly parts of you -- but you can't deal when others do the same...I'm narrowing my eyes at you. Until I see a picture of you with one of my favorite musicians on Twitter. And you're looking so hot. Then I'll unnarrow my eyes.
  18. Not to say that she's not nice, but I think a lot of that was because they were glad that someone other than Olivia was grabbing him first.
  19. I said something similar to someone else. You may be able to get away with some insecurity talk if you're on a one-on-one because it's only you two and you have the whole day. When you've only got 25 minutes (and how insane was that comment that someone...Jojo?...said? "They've been go SO long. It's almost been 25 minutes." Do they literally only get 10 minutes with the lead in the group date situation?) and you're the only one acting like that? I also think that Sharleen had a great point in her blog. People come on, focused on dating the lead, which is the point. Except it's not. The point is trying to survive the mind game that is The Bachelor and hopefully, you have a nice time with a nice guy along the way.
  20. She mentioned it on their one-on-one.
  21. Personally, I thought he was trying to get her to talk herself into leaving so he wouldn't have to say it. When they first sat down to talk and she said something about being overshadowed, he was real quick to go, "So are you saying this is getting too hard for you?" Then towards the end, he asks her if she still thinks that they could build something together (which, obvi; she was sitting there telling him she wasn't intentionally pulling back and asking him not to give up on her) in an attempt to put the onus on her. She turned it around and said, "No, you tell me."
  22. My Ben-colored glasses have dimmed a bit. I didn't think Jubilee was going to win, but that was brutal. If he wants to get rid of her because she has an attitude or whatever, say that. Say, "Whoops. Thought you were layered, but you're just difficult." But to say, "Oh, I'm only keeping people around who I see a future with." Twin? Boring Lauren H.? Also, when he started getting riled up about how she wouldn't take his hand in front of everyone, that was the most emotion I'd seen out of him the entire time. Their walk out was painful. "If you'll just head this way..." Yo, that was bad.
  23. According to a podcast Ben was on last week, yes. The brainstorming part, anyway. He said that he thought a spa day would be cool, and then they filled in the rest with a helicopter and hot tub. Stuff like that.
