  1. Here is your thread dedicated to discussion and speculation about the show, in all it's spoilered glory. Spoilers are allowed! No Spoiler Tags required! All media articles and links belong in the FTWD in the Media thread For all unspoiled discussion, please go to the FTWD Anticipation and Speculation thread. Thanks.
  2. The purpose of this thread is for unspoiled speculation on the show, what general direction the show might take and possibly how excited you may be (you know you are...). This thread is will also serve as a speculation thread on what you WANT to see! Please do not post any spoilers in here. For spoiler laden discussion, please go to Spoilers and Spoiler Speculation: Anarchy in the USA. Thanks!
  3. Hey guys. I just realized that all of our posts are in the wrong thread. I've moved them to where they should be: FTWD Anticipation This thread is supposed to be just chatter about everything else besides the show! Duh.
  4. Yeah, I always liked that scene. It was pretty hot, I have to say and I remember when it first was released long ago on the old Internets, someone filmed the scene filmed in a movie theatre (way before your iPhones, etc), so you heard the audience just losing their minds cheering away. And I seem to remember commentary by GA and DD, whereas they just went with the moment, and it got more passionate then they planned. Thanks for the link, ABS! *savesbookmark*
  5. SKINNER! So love that! Awesome. Don't even mind WBD, because I think jolene is right, it will be possibly flashbacks, a shapeshifter or even a video or something that M&S view. Cool.
  6. I will start off by saying that I only know of this series, from TWD forums and that clip online. It has the potential to be really good premise but will all depend on the actors making it come to live. By premise, I mean seeing what caused the virus in the first place. It'll either be something like government genetic experimentation for military purposes, or research labs trying to find a cure for Ebola or Flesh-eating disease (which is bacterial, actually), and they end up mutating the virus and BOOM - walkers. But the first encounters of the Walkers should be interesting and how soon people figure out how to deal with them. You know there is going to be some stupid people out there. Then of course the resulting anarchy that humanity is so good at. But it also depends on the actors. TWD did a great job of casting. I mean, Andrew Lincoln brings life to Rick, same with MMB, SY, NR and everyone else. So I'm worried that the actors may not be dynamic enough to hold attention. I don't think the ratings will be anyway close to the levels of TWD, to be honest. It's summer and this show I think had one episode to grab everyone's attention. We'll have to see.
  7. This show does have potential, if they do it right and the actors and you know what...I was going to write more but then realized that there is a DEDICATED forum to which this discussion should go *cough cough*. I'll reply there. *grin* Sorry, you have no choice. If your butt isn't over there, along with everyone else's (at least those who are going to watch the show), their will be hell to pay.
  8. I don't think so. Didn't he say "see you in September" at the end of the last TD show?
  9. Just a reminder to everyone to please keep the discussion considerate and respectful, and to limit the unnecessarily body shaming and general shaming overall. This Mod Note explains in a little more detail. Thank you.
  10. Haha! I'm Canadian too - I can get my beloved chips anytime, thank god. This image I used I found on the Amazon website and was shocked at the price for the chips. Thanks for the offer though!
  11. Here here to your entire post, NoWillToResist! The above would make logical sense. But then we wouldn't have the visual of blood-and-guts covered Rick - complete with crazy eyes - interrupting the camp and dramatically dropping a Walker in front of them, plus we wouldn't have the stories about how Rick is a good person. It's like they wrote themselves into a bit of a corner and said fuck it! Leave it as is.
  12. That was such a glaring mistake, I agree. Rick's at the gate, it's bright outside. Next scene, it's fully dark. How long did he run around the town for, looking for Walkers that NO ONE else in the town noticed. Did they mistake the Walkers for Pete the Drunken Stumbling Doctor Fool?? It's not like they are hiding and moving fast. Just so weird.
  13. *grin* You try reading through *checks thread number* FIVE HUNDRED + posts. You guys are insane! But always insightful and fun! Crispy on top with a lack of Bowie Knife.
  14. Salty snacks for the win. All NACL all of the time. But this is my ultimate weakness. And on Amazon, Lays is selling three bags for $35 bucks!
  15. Since you guys are all hanging out here, you may miss the post in the companion series speculation thread so... In anticipation of the AMC spinoff, Fear the Walking Dead, we have a nice new shiny thread for you to waste even more time in! The series is scheduled to air sometime in the summer of 2015. 19. Thanks for the explanation, DearEvette. Much appreciated. Good to know. So they all follow each other...aww....Surprised Orlando isn't following her, but she is. Especially since I think he may follow some of the more vocal (and awesome) fans of SH. That's it - Katrina Kult is how we need to refer to "those people" from how on! Yeah, Metzner's the one who started the whole "true fans" thing and talking about Lyndie in a sexist way. Right now he's apparently trying to make amends (or someone told him to) because all of a sudden, he's much more gracious. Getting a comeuppance and keeping your job may do that to a person.
  20. ^^ This post from Indi. Yup, that's exactly how I saw it too. I would bank that maybe one or two writers may have felt differently, but what could they do? They are not going to go against the boss, so they "fell in line". But as John Noble said "They had no clue what they were doing." Still blown away by this comment. LOL! Oh, I didn't know that... I don't use twitter, but if you have an account, can you see who another person is following? Like you can see who Orlando follows, or could he hide certain accounts he follows from the public. Not sure how it goes. It sounds like you mean you can look at who Orlando follows, and everyone else is listed there (the other main three). But it makes sense, considering the beautiful shade that he throws around about Katrina. It is truly gold. Very interesting. *puts on tin foil hat* One of her stans wrote that she (Winter) deleted all of her instagram pics that related to SH. The only thing I could think of was that she was pissed to be killed off, and knows she's not coming back. Gave me a sigh of relief. Also, Orlando, being his classy self, sent a congrats tweet to Goffman about his CBS deal, and he retweeted it. However, no congrats from Goffman to Orlando about SH renewal. Yeah, he may have been fired, but there is still a level of professionalism that takes place in this environment that the public sees. It would have been classy for him to do that, but that's just me. DearEvette, you totally reminded me of something I was going to post yesterday, then my mind drew a blank. Doug Aarniowski mentioned on his twitter that there are two people whose job is it to ensure continuity. These people need to be fired. Hire any SH fan out there - I'll take the job - because apparently we are the only ones who know what went on, on the show.
  21. Oh, I knew what you meant, archiesmom. I just ended up rambling a bit. :') As for what we were supposed to believe. Depends on who you ask. Ask Goffman and you'll get one answer. Ask everyone else, and you'll get a completely different one! However, maybe this tweet and response from the Official Twitter of Sleepy Hollow can provide this answer: There was a picture Katrina, and Crane, his back to the camera with the floating knife, included with the above tweet, but I'm not linking it here. Hahahaha!! This shade is the best!
  22. I love my conspiracy theories. Speculating on the behind the scenes mess with SH is like my reality show crack, I swear. So much shady and suspect things going on, I tell you. Oh, I very much noticed this too. Noticed this on the SH Season 1 DVD, during the finale episode commentary by Mison/Beharie, Wiseman and Kurtzman. I mentioned it before, but they all raved about Noble, Greenwood, Orlando Jones, but nothing - nothing - on Katia Winter. I felt bad for her then, but not anymore. But it was really glaring. Now think of Noble's recent comments: "He (Noble) adds that he and co-star Tom Mison "were hoping to have more scenes together, because that's when it was really interesting." So he's basically saying it wasn't interesting during the times he spent the majority of the season alongside Winter. So it could be read as a bit of a slam towards her. However, he did have scenes with Orlando too, so there you are. At the Birmingham MCM Comic Con, in the interview, Mison mentioned only he loved coming to work because he gets to work alongside Beharie, Greenwood and Noble. He barely had any scenes with Orlando, but guess who he did have many scenes with and didn't mention. That's right, Winter. And Noble and Mison - from what I've seen on video - are always very respectful and praise the people they work with, so this is an anomaly. But still. I almost want to go back and read through the threads, to remind myself of the clusterfuck of the season, because all of a sudden, knowing what we know now, things are suddenly going to make sense (like I said, it could be a reality show.) But isn't it her job to take the character on screen and "get inside" her and flesh her out as she feels the person would reaction to the circumstances around her? Case in point: Crane's finger twitch thing Mison does - his own addition. The sliding of the phone across the table. His improvision. The rigid body, the pointy finger, reactions to the modern world - all his interpretations. The director isn't telling him every move he needs to make. That's a mark of a amazing actor - being able to understand the character and bring them to life on screen. So Winter looking off and not reacting is not the director, unless there was a reason for it that totally did not come properly on across on screen. But again, she had no say on the rat scene - that scene was written that way, as was the constant fainting, weak powers, not saying goodbye to Ichabod and going back to Abraham. I mean, that last one is so glaring I cannot even. You love this man, yet don't seem too pressed to leave his side and don't even write him a note?? I know this sounds stereotypical, but a few scenes of her all depressed or crying and missing and pining for Crane would have been helpful, wouldn't it? But we got....nothing. God, I want a tell all book. Just post it as an E-book please. I so would pay.
  23. Ha! DONE! Unless someone comes up with something better *bops to the music*
  24. Hot damn, Duchovny looks amazing. Yummy! I've always liked him, though I know he's been a jerk in the past. It's nice that he's embracing his Mulder, especially since he went on and did well on Californication (which I never watch because didn't get the channel). Ok, throwing it out there --> New Thread Name: David Duchovy: Why Won't You Love Me? Come on, let's do it!!
  25. He was just being careless and moreso, self-absorbed. He pulled the gate shut, but as we saw with bit later with Rick, there was that large metal rod that had to be turned and pushed into place to lock the gate. FPP was too focused on his 'woe is me' to care about that. The guts on the gate were the Walkers shambling in and rubbing against the metal, thus leaving behind some of their rotting selves.
