  5. Hell Ya! Finally the shows I like survive. "The Last Ship" renewed for Season 4.
  6. Is anyone else already looking at Newbie President Oliver with huge amounts of shade?? In the beginning of the episode, I had hope he was fair and decent...but now.... And c'mon Elizabeth's Rohm character - really?? Playing these political BS games when people are starving?? (TBH, this doesn't surprise in one bit - welcome to the typicality of humanity). I knew that Peng and his little buddies were messing around with the vaccine and finding ways to kill his "enemies". Again, never underestimate how much humans generally suck and are assholes. Always expect the worst and never be surprised at how cruel and evil they are. Good episode. I would like to see if this new Pres. Oliver eventually realizes how corrupt his little "cabinet" is - aka, those Reps from the other districts. Also - nice to see that apparently Takahaya realizes what happened - i.e. Peng sent him and his people to a death sentence. Knew it was something he did. I assumed the "cure" was faked initially. Instead, the green gas was released to ensure that the cure - while real - was rendered ineffective.
  7. Remember guys - Shame-Free means without Shame, aka this is not the thread to slam the people appearing on the show for whatever "failings" one may perceive they have. Thanks.
  8. Honestly, at the end of the episode, she mentioned her title/governmental position. Of course I didn't pay attention to what it actually was. However, the moment I saw that poor Michener committed "suicide", I though immediately that Kara would be the next President, based on her position.
  9. YEAH!! But NOOO!! Well, at least we get a fourth - I wasn't sure cause ratings. And considering the material, I can see a natural end to the story and I guess Alexander Rose et all did too. I guess.
  10. Why Deep Space Nine is the Unexpected Western of the Star Trek Universe, and Deserves a Revisit
  11. OMG, hell ya!! If my stupid cable TV actually airs this, I will be in heaven! Bring it, Drunk-Lin.
  12. I think it's because the blood transfusion temporarily removed/negated the symptoms of the "Red Flu". Then, the newly transfused blood cells started to get infected, and therefore the people got more and more sick. Similar to Malaria (which is why the blood TX helped Kyoko) - the virus causes more and more RBCs to be infected and in turn hemolyze, causing the jaundice and over all fever and illness. The TX removed the majority of those infected RBCs. I have a feeling Peng sent those Chinese Special Forces. Eh. Honestly, for me, I don't care. She held her own quite nicely. I'm cool with it and it didn't seem out of place/odd. Hate the body count for this. What a waste. If Takahaya had simply reached out to the Americans and asked "Why" our "medicine" doesn't work, then none of this would have happened. Annoys the fuck out of me, stupid humans.
  13. I thought it was awesome too and very informative!! Glad you made comments here and Welcome!
  14. Whoa, NewDigs. I can't remove that section either. That is the strangest thing. I'll look into it.
  15. My theory: President Peng was only doling out the cure to his "select" people that he wanted to live. The rest could "go to hell", so to speak. The Americans, bascially on their little humanitarian mission, dropped the cure off to Pres Peng and his minions and military, naively assuming that Peng and Co would actually distribute to cure to all (ah, foolish ones). Takahaya was one of those pirates who Peng hated, therefore he and his people didn't get the cure. Sasha sidled up to Peng, to get the inside scoop and access to information - because she is working with Takahaya Peng, knowing that Sasha and Jesse were "stealing" the cure, let them - because he knew it was vials of coloured water, with fake US labels on them. S and J thought they were "smuggling" the cure, when in reality Peng and company just provided vials of coloured water for their taking. This entire episode, the looks, the words, the actions, all made me think this is what was really going on. Just a theory, mind you. Still an insane show.
  16. Like others, I took it two ways too - Why did you have to hang Andre, or Why are you letting me go? Great scene.
  17. Decent episode. I am missing the military porn though big time. We still don't know why they are taking blood, but "Vampire Leader", what, is he a hemophiliac or something? Or just crazy (I vote both). Still think they are taking the blood because it has the vaccine in it, and they think they are giving themselves the cure, and also making themselves strong. Sure hope those pirates know how to type blood. Otherwise, Vamp!Pirate would be most likely dead by now. Also, if they want the Nathan James crew to continue to be strong and provide the blood, they need to stop beating the crap out of them and causing them to bleed/bruise - cause loss of blood. Love how in those markets, MSS and Americans are running around with machine guns and nobody blinks. Really liked the end scene, where Michener and the US government are like, "oh....shit". But I am missing the military porn big time.
  18. Awesome episode. Can't help but say that I got really teary-eyed at John Andre's execution. J.J. Feilds played it brilliantly. Knowing that the real Andre was stoic and professional and honourable, yet briefly terrified, really JJ did brilliantly. Abe - for the longest time, I really expected him to hang. Partly, because of the show's ratings, I wonder if it will be renewed (it should). But well done. And stupid Magistrate Woodhull, finally redeeming himself and being a decent person. Mary - what a change. Season 1, I wanted her gone. But goddammit, have she ever come into her own. Her, resolute on the stand, and "selling" Woodhull Sr. out (brilliantly, as she should have) was brilliiant. She's the only one at this point, who is not cowed, or hesitant to speak out, which is wonderful. Love her to death. This felt very much like it could be a series finale. I thought that Owain Yeoman was - as always - awesome as a hard-done-by Arnold. And I will admit - I hate stereotypical woman hysterics - but for Peggy, I totally understood. She's playing them bigtime, and she knows it, and is working it. This I don't mind, knowing how she is working the stupidity of the men at the time.
  19. Apparently they all perform a cost/benefit analysis to determine what will cost them more money - litigation or recall. There have been many times they went with litigation. It was much cheaper for them to pay out the lawsuits, then recall a large number of calls, by many millions. Disgusting. The execs who made those decisions should be charged with murder.
