  1. While I am waiting for news of all of my other shows to be cancelled *sob* (Agent Carter, Forever, Constantine officially), an interesting prediction by TVLine. They think that FOX will pair up the X-Files revival with Sleepy Hollow in the fall. Interesting!! My two favourite alien investigators with my two favourite Apocalypse fighters. Hell, I've referred to Ichabbie as the modern day M&S, so it makes sense (to me). The only problem is that the revival for X-Files is 6 episodes long, and SH will be 18 episodes long. So what goes in it's place? Gotham? It was paired up like that this season. I know we've had rumours of a pairing with Empire so...
  2. Extant - Season 2 Promo. Not much info here, but we get to see a couple of new characters....and Halle's new hairstyle.
  3. Suicide Squad - you are going to be making a lot of commuters angry tonight (moreso than we usually are) Toronto's Union Station Bus terminal Closed due to Suicide Squad filming News in Toronto must be slow today... Apparently it was last minute. The GO Bus terminal in located across the street from the actual train/bus station. The end fight scene in the movie X-Men (inside the train station) is Toronto's Union Station. The Bus terminal location though is across the street and mostly outside/exposed to the outside. There is nothing really special about the area, to be honest. It's newish and you know - a bus terminal. There is a set of steps that leads up to a covered much older area of the station where the trains come in. For some reason I like that area/it has character. I wonder if they are actually going to use our ugly green GO buses in the movie.
  4. The photo could simply have been one of those dress-up photo things one can do. You know - the ones where they provide costumes (Old West or whatever), and a old timey background. Convert the photo in black and white and boom, it looks old. It could also have been a very well done Halloween costume. If anything, if I were Jo, I would immediately think that, and a connection to the person (wife) who Henry lost. Jo knows he lost someone, but doesn't know her name.
  5. Very interesting article about how the X-Files kick started online communities discussing the show, the phenomenon of "Shipping", and how fandom and fan fiction were hugely influenced by the show. Anyone remember Alt.tv.xfiles?? I do!! Note the title of the article may be slightly NSFW. How X-Files Lovers Created a New Type of Online Fandom
  6. Yup - everything for all shows will be announced no later than at the Upfronts next week. ABC is scheduled to present May 12th, at 4:00pm.
  7. I'm going to miss this show. I do think this was a very cruel thing to do to Adam. I know he's a crazy killer, but thinking of all of the suffering he went through at the hands of the Nazi's, lots before that and now this?? That's not the Henry I expect. However, it is very possible the hospital would take Adam off life support eventually, so then he "dies" and starts over again. And would be very pissed. It's not wonder he's as "crazy" and disregarding of humanity as he is, if bad things like this have happened to him over 2000 years. I certainly would be. Great last episode, made me cry and I am going to miss this show desperately. The cast was wonderful and had great camraderie and if it got renewed, the second season with Jo knowing would have been awesome. *sigh*.
  8. Well, they could reinstate him as police chief, since he was cleared of all charges. And Reyes could go back to her former job. What I find interesting is that Orlando has yet to write more to the Sleepy fans about this, than simply a link. He's been very vocal and directly interactive with the fans. I expect a goodbye or something but nothing yet. Hmm.... I realized this morning that six (SIX) members of the cast are now gone. Orlando Jones, KW, John Noble, Matt Barr, Neil Jackson (assuming since we could only see him with necklace/flashbacks and he is on another show now), John Cho. The only ones left? Beharie, Greenwood (assuming), Mison and Sakina Jaffery (assuming). So new characters will be introduced I think. It will be a very different show though. What, with Atlanta, Orlando gone and new show runner.
  9. I've read (most likely) the same posts, MissAlmond, and yeah, the immediate reaction was "He was fired!" and "Campbell got rid of him!" and "He's being punished for his support of us" yadda yadda. Again, like with the rest of the mess going on behind the scenes, we really don't know. But to me, something like this needs to be in the woodwork for some time to set up, etc. And with the mess of season 2, Orlando probably had more incentive to get his company going and to move on. I think the decision to "revive" Frank Irving was a last minute one, so for all he knew, he was to be actually killed off anyway. Still makes me sad, but he's working on this, is doing stand up comedy still and working on filming a documentary. Dude's busy.
  10. You know, I am not very coherent right now, simply because I am in tears..... ABC - Renew This Show!!! ETA: No seriously.....I am a mess right now.....
  11. No worries, dcalley and everyone else! It's all good. Post away!
  12. What. The Fuck. Did I just watch?? From Jimmy the Kid and his Wild West Shootout, to no one having any ability to aim a gun (save Jim), to Punk!Fish, to Crazy!Barbara to Annoying!Penguin... No seriously. What the hell was this episode? I don't know...
  13. I'm of that same age, pcta. I know - I'm terrible for that, but I'm lazy and don't want to write out his full name. I should stop that.
  14. I agree. It would have been nice to have the four of them as a team, and give a chance for Irving and Crane to bond and redeem the mess they made of his storyline, but it's okay. Orlando's going off to bigger and better things and the core of the show is Abbie and Crane, so it will be okay. I am assuming Reyes will be featured more. For all we know, we might see more Calvin Riggs or another character might be introduced and fit well with everyone else.
  15. I know a lot of people are thinking that he was kicked out but I don't think so. He left for bigger and better things on his terms. The article I posted above is an announcement that he's starting up a digital entertainment company in conjunction with Kurtzman/Orci. The show the company are releasing, Orlando is going to star in it AND produce it. And something like this is in the works for months. He's been working on this for a while, but the announcement itself was made today, like with Clifton Campbell. The decision for him is kind of obvious. So instead of being a supporting character on one show, he's going to star in another, produce AND run a company. Pretty impressive and an excellent opportunity for him, dontcha think?
  16. What do I think will happen now that Orlando Jones is leaving? I am 99% sure that there for sure will be a time jump. Gives time for Crane to get over the wife (and we don't have to suffer through it) and they can easily explain away Frank Irving's absence. Just say that he decided to move back to New York City with Cynthia and Macey, to start over, work on his family and get away from the crazy that is in Sleepy Hollow. That's all they need to do.
  17. I had a feeling OJ wouldn't be back, when he bought a house in North Carolina after rumours of SH going to Atlanta. At the time, I thought it was because he was going to be killed off though. Also, I think the fact that the show did wrong by him/his character, I don't blame him at all. Honestly, I think he's just going to be too busy with his other projects to do SH. But he just linked to his project with Kurtzman/Orci productions. I totally wish him best of luck but the fandom is going to miss his engagement A LOT. Orlando Jones, Jay Williams Launch Digital Shingle with Machinima Series ‘High School 51′
  18. Hmm...interesting. Tweets are indicating that: Not sure if this is legit or not so far. It's interesting too, because just last weekend, Tom Mison was at Las Vegas Wizard World comic con and saying how Crane would have to deal with his "new family" in season 3. He probably already knew that OJ was leaving, but still... How bad was the drama behind the scenes with this show. Truly. Also, when they said reboot, they meant reboot. Wow.
  19. What is interesting is that the show started out slow it's first year. It took a while to get the viewership and momentum that the network wanted (even though it still had over 10 million viewers). I remember reading somewhere that if the X-Files had been released in today's television landscape, it would have been cancelled after the first season. Just think about that. Networks don't give show's a chance to get settled or gain viewership like they used to, which sucks. Their "trigger fingers" and "instant gratification" mentalities have probably taken away a lot of what would have been amazing shows from the viewing public.
  20. Well now....I don't like this one bit. I wonder if it's his decision. He hasn't tweeted anything yet but I know he's working on a ton of projects so.... Orlando Jones will not return for Sleepy Hollow Season 3.
  21. I'm a few years older than you, ABS. I was a teen when TXF started up. I am really curious as to what the ratings are going to be. Like, how much of the original group of "X-Philes" will return to watch the series. People's tastes change and maybe some of them won't be into the show like before. The interesting thing is going to be how FOX considers the ratings. Back then, viewership ranged from 10-20+ million viewers an episode, but the show ranked very low overall (figure that one out). But in this day and age and different viewership methods, I don't think the ratings are going to be that high this time around. Will FOX be happy with 5 million. Less? I mean, shows like Big Bang Theory and Dancing with the Stars are the ones that get the big viewership, but even they don't get near the 20 million mark. Same with the Walking Dead - its about 10-12 million viewers an episode (not including DVR watched and +7 numbers). On top of that, FOX wants that coveted 18-49 range, which probably lots of the original viewers are, but will today's younger TV watching crowd care about M&S at all, or would rather watch Kardashians on TV. Hmm....
  22. How much older was Mulder supposed to be compared to Scully. GA is 46, DD is 54, but I know that when GA as cast, she lied about her age because she was worried the show wouldn't believe such a young person could be an FBI agent. And Mitch Pileggi is 63. Damn, I'm old....
  23. When I started watching TURN last season, I was googling and looking up Revolutionary War history and specifically in this case, the real life men who appear on this show. To be honest, though I am fascinated by American History, the Rev War never was that interesting to me for whatever reason. Instead, I was always reading about the American Civil War. But anyway, with the Culper Ring, I am amazed that no one knew anything about it at all, it was never mentioned in any papers/documents until 1922. Apparently one of Abe Woodhull's decendents was going through some old papers in the basement (or attic) and found Abe's stuff. Then they realized there was a Culper Ring. No one in the long family lineage knew any of this for over 100 years. Rose's book is quite different but it's a really good read. I recommend it. One impression I got was how much G. Washington relied on the spy rings' information, to the point that I questioned whether the Patriots would have actually won the war without the Culper Ring. I don't think they would have, to be honest. And throughout the book, GW is very impatient and quick to anger over the lack of information coming to him. Kinda of like in the show when he is depicted as calm, then suddenly goes off on Ben. That same frustration is repeated in the book. I have to go do some more reading to remind myself of these real life people!
