  1. You know, I was half-kidding when I joked about running out of reasons to watch the Arrowverse (and by extension, The CW). It’s not funny anymore.
  2. I wasn’t sure where this was going at the start of the episode, but that ended beautifully. Just — Joan’s clothes (as always) Marcus as captain Adorable Arthur (and Sherlock’s equally adorable greeting to him) Gregson being his calm, wise self (his comment about loving someone enough to allow them the choice to be with you applied to both Sherlock and Joan, introspect) The way Sherlock’s voice caught when he confronted Joan about letting him leave, and then him hugging her despite her protests The perfect last line I would have liked to have seen Moriarty again, but I wouldn’t sacrifice these final scenes for her. I’m plenty happy with what we got. I stayed up past my bedtime to watch my recording — totally worth it. (Hope I still think so in the morning.)
  3. Apparently she didn’t want to settle for just the child support portion or alimony portion. She wanted the maximum inheritance amount, and the only way to get it was if the inheritance went directly to her child instead of first to Baron.
  4. Glad I’m not the only one who feels that way. I feel like I’m supposed to love her, but, eh. At least she was okay here.
  5. Granted, I don’t actually watch a lot of horror, but that melon baller scene was one of the most disturbing things I’d seen on tv at the time.
  6. I forgot about “Parting Shot”! Man, I am going to have to go through and do a series rewatch of all of these awesome episodes. Watching the team in that moment was beautiful, and fleshed out even more the final scenes in “The End”. Plus, Fitz realizing that he “missed” his own wedding and had already died was one thing — he was shocked and upset, but it was still sort of okay. But him realizing that he missed Coulson’s last days (and would not be seeing him should they ever make it home) was on a different level — I felt so bad for him.
  7. “The Devil Complex”, “Rewind”, “Self-Control” — you all are reminding me that the best episodes of SHIELD really let Iain de Caestecker and Elizabeth Henstridge shine. This one is one of the best examples of that. I don’t even know how to gush about this episode without basically rehashing the whole thing. I am not a fan of horror a la The Ring or anything like that, but Ringu Simmons was fascinating — you could see so much of Jemma’s past trauma just by looking at her. And the hookup with her and Leopold was disturbingly hilarious. Talk about soulmates.
  8. FitzSimmons definitely did not disappoint. I loved this episode. The reveal to Fitz of the major events he’d missed in the past year, seven-and-a-half-year-old Jemma, the extra glimpses into their shared history, the humor — it was all great. No surprise this was one of the best episodes.
  9. I liked (or didn’t mind) Kat in Season 2, but the writing for her was just exhausting during the last season.
  10. So in this case, “Bigger Than the Friggin Universe” refers to the length of her review, then?
  11. So, having watched the finale three (four?) times now — I was NOT on board with Ray and Susan. But ugh... they made me like Ray. Really, Josh Hopkins made me like Ray. Serious Ray, confident Ray, resolute Ray — I’m there for all of that. It’s OTT goofy Ray I’m not a fan of. So I’m pretty much Jai in this episode — initially grossed out but now rooting for them to make it work. And I loved that Will seems to have learned a little from the whole Gigi fiasco and recognized what was going on with Susan before she finally came clean, and is cool with his friends. I really liked this episode. I expected a cliffhanger at the end (mainstay of shows like these), so it didn’t bother me too much. If the show doesn’t get a second season, I can just pretend the episode ended on the Will/Frankie near kiss. But I really hope it gets picked up — I really like all the main characters. And now that Will and Ray are back on good terms, I want to see a little more of them being spies together. And Frankie having to put with Ray, since she’s the one likely to maintain her “not a fan of Ray” attitude, at least publicly (when he’s not in danger of dying), so that will be fun. (Can you tell I kind of love Ray now?)
  12. My vote is for right about here: When I was in my bedroom squeal-screaming, “SAY SOMETHING, YOU IDIOT!!!!” at Oliver’s 😍.
  13. What a time for TBS to be pivoting away from comedy.
  14. I'm okay with only insofar as I can assume the reunion has already been filmed and is now just being saved for later.
  15. I just assumed they could hear the JAG theme music playing in the background as Harm arrived, like I could. 😁😍
  16. Because Oliver : Arrow :: Superheroes : Spinoffs -- for nearly the show's entire existence. I hope at some point Oliver is like, "Seriously, Monitor? This is what you pulled me away from my family for?" Although it would have been hilarious to watch Oliver look pointedly at Dig, then at Roy... then back to Dig, and then back to Roy. 😆
  17. I’m struck by Jensen and JJ having almost the exact same smile, while Daneel and Zep have almost the exact same pose. This family....
  18. Yes yes yes to all of the recent comments, but especially this one: I've replayed that moment every time I've watched the episode. Plus they mentioned on that Whiskey Cavalier podcast that Ray's niece was played by Scott Foley's daughter, which just made that whole scene even more adorable.
  19. I may not have had expectations about the new Fox, but I did have hopes. I can't form the words I want to say right now. 😠😡🤬
  20. They certainly made Will ”Raygi”. 🥁 (Sorry, I had to.)
  21. “Ray as an agent” seems almost night and day different from “Ray as a regular person”. For instance, even though he claimed to have no idea what he was gonna do, Ray in the scene when he confronted Susan’s kidnappers seemed quite capable and confident, even during his ruse. Like, I want to get to know that Ray. I’m trying to convince myself that that’s the Ray Susan is attracted to — we just don’t see that side very often as the audience. But they have a long way to go if they wanna Chandler/Monica the Ray/Susan relationship for me.
  22. Stray thoughts from the episode: Great — this show has made me fall in love with the Jai/Standish bromance. Jai just looked so adorably proud of himself after doing their handshake! And I love that Jai thinks mayo on fries is a good thing, and Standish has no qualms about expressing how crazy gross that is, and they are both okay with that. I didn’t watch Scandal, but from the tiny bits I’d heard about Jake, I imagine “grieving badly” Will was reminiscent of that character. Okay, having never seen Josh Hopkins in anything before (at least not that I remember), I’m sort of starting to see the actor’s appeal — if he was playing an actually mature grown man, instead of Ray, I’d be into that. But apparently Susan is somehow into Ray as a person, not just comfort sex or whatever they’re calling that. I mean, she asked for his compliment/joke segment, which had no connection to their trysts, and she was defending him to everyone even before the hookup. Can’t blame it all on the grief. I get that they’re telling the story through the wardrobe choices, although I did not like that red dress at all (or Frankie’s slicked hair. I did notice that, in the scene where Frankie stops Will from torching that guy and then realizes that “two of her” was not such a great idea, Will and Frankie’s outfits match. Well played, show. (ETA: those could just be their “stealth mission” outfits, but still...)
  23. My emotional rollercoaster just now: 👍👍😍 😭😭😭
  24. I was just coming here to post that. I am way more excited about it than I thought I would be.
