  1. I think you're confusing the eyebrow with his other body part that probably went up the first time Sparkle took off her bra.
  2. Methinks Frederick's fav cartoon growing up was Heathcliff. Note how he precisely copied that one uplifted eyebrow and that fixed stare.
  3. If they ever do an Inspector Hathaway series, I hope James doesn't become Morse 2.0 with drink and depression. So, in the first episode of the first Lewis series, Lewis meets up with a Professor Gold played by Anna Massey. She says that he looks familiar and that they've probably met before in "another life" (similar to what Frazil tells Endeavour at their first meeting.) I googled Anna Massey, she was on Morse's Happy Families, as Lady Balcombe.
  4. WETA UK is airing the Lewis series right after Inspector Morse. I didn't realize how angry Robbie was about Val's death. Last night's episode was Whom The Gods Would Destroy and poor Robbie was seething at Platt (IIRC on TWOP he was nicknamed Puppy Chow Guy for obvious reasons......) If other WETA UK viewers are interested, I'll start a Past Series Thread or a Series One Thread.
  5. I had the feeling the live-in caretaker was an issue too due to the use of finger quotes by the sister.
  6. I think I remember that one. Didn't the Baby Mama say that she could have gotten pregnant from the two guys or the girl (or am I confusing that with another Baby Mama who doesn't know about basic human reproduction.) Anyhow, the sister suing her half-brother for locking her out of their father's house even though she's on the deed case yesterday definitely had some back story that wasn't on the signed statement.
  7. My mom was howling with laughter at "awared". K-Mart jewelry was hilarious: Plaintiff and Daughter set up a sting at the K-Mart because the cops are too busy.......Sheesh!
  8. I voted but didn't leave any comments. The schedule is already up on the website. I figured the Bento special would be on it.
  9. Dang! I wanted it to air earlier in the evening.......
  10. Since I'm in the "Cora is on drugs" camp, I think we'd see Cora abusing prescription drugs.
  11. The Carol burnett Show is coming to MeTV according to the promo I saw this morning. I hope they'll show all of the episodes, not just the popular ones. Gone with the Wind was funny, but I think seeing Scarlett's window dress every other night will get really, really, stale.
  12. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who noticed that! Bernadette seemed really, really, out of it.
  13. Motion has a new home. (sheesh I hope it's on a network we can get.......) It looks like My Family Recipe Rocks, or another similar show with Joey Fatone found a new home too. https://www.facebook.com/18THIRTYEntertainment
  14. The martial arts "school" owners were full of it too. I watch NHK World which is the Japanese English Language station. Dojo Mom had a point that the writing was different. But Pseudo-Sensei's explanation about the difference was BS, so it made me wonder about the quality of marital arts being taught.
  15. Perhaps the programming PTB have a sense of humor because 2 hours after the two sisters and the trash bag full of stuff case at 4PM, we got the repeat of the 2 school teachers who got into a fight in front of their students about using a certain door. Crazy.
  16. I agree with you. "Dark" tv shows like "X-Files", "Buffy", "Angel", and currently "Gotham" would benefit from B&W because the visual mood is set. One of the better movie uses of B&W and color was "The Wizard of Oz": everything in Kansas was B&W, but Oz was all colorful and bright. I think the color switch in the '60s was more of marketing thing: everyone HAD to have color shows because everyone else had them.
  17. Before we were married, Mr. Milz's dog was accused of being the puppy daddy. Puppy mama's owners got a lawyer (we suspect it was a lawyer friend of theirs because no real lawyer would take a case like that), who sent Mr. Milz a letter demanding him to pay puppy mama's vet bills and money for puppy support. Mr. Milz had to send a notarized copy of his dog's vet bill and medical records that showed his dog was not and could never be any puppy's daddy.
  18. Me will show all the Christmas episodes of their shows after Gilligan's Island this month.
  19. My PBS station (WETA UK) is showing Morse's "Last Seen Wearing". Morse is such a dick in this episode to Lewis in this episode. It makes me wonder a few things....Friday wasn't a dick to Endeavour (at least we haven't seen that yet), Lewis wasn't a dick to Hathaway, so why did Morse turn out to be a dick?
  20. Colorized Gilligan looks bad too. Their skin tones look yellowish-orange. The color on the clothing looks flat. And the trees look more fake than they were. I remember "A Christmas Carol" starring Alistair Sim was colorized too, with equally horrible results, imo. Personally, I enjoy watching B&W movies and tv shows.
  21. RE: colorized Gilligan I read on the MeTV site shortly after I posted that they were airing the colorized Season 1. Back in the 80s or 90s, colorizing B&W tv shows and movies was somewhat in vogue. IIRC watching the "colorized" It's a Wonderful Life (it didn't look very good either.) They're back to airing the regular B& W season 1 GI. Is it me or does anyone else find Ann Marie and her father on That Girl annoying?
  22. Well, after Lovecraft, I've warmed up to Alfred. I can see (sorta) why the Waynes made him Bruce's guardian. And Sean Pertwee is hot, imo. :)
  23. I hope if the new series will follow the books better than the original series. Don't get me wrong, I loved the original series, but they took some liberties with the characters, especially Demelza. Book Ross didn't marry her because she was pregnant. So I hope they follow the books more faithfully to set it apart from the original series and to just be more like the books.
  24. RE: Harvey Bullock I was watching an episode of Hogan's Heroes and who was credited as the writer? Harvey Bullock. He was a tv producer and screen writer. He also wrote episodes of The Andy Griffith Show, The Jetson's, and The Flintstones. According to his wiki page, the comics character is named after him.
  25. Yep. Mitochondrial DNA = mom(and mom's mom and mom's mom's mom, etc.) and Chromosomal DNA mom and dad. Forgot to mention earlier. Skip and his cousin Jennifer (I think that's her name) have the same bone structure from the eyes up.
