Benedict Cumberbatch: Not Your Father's Sherlock
M. Darcy replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sherlock [V]
Man, Bora Bora seems like a great place to be right now. Stupid smarch weather. FYI, we finally have dates for the release of The Imitation Game DVD in the states - March 31st. Though, it should be available on ITunes on March 20th. And, if you never get tired of hearing BC say peengweens, The Penguins of Madagascar is out on DVD March 17th but is available on ITunes now. -
Heh, I wonder where the local Tesco is. All those years of staring at those boxes of chocolates in the background that you can see when someone is buying something, they can't get rid of that.

Looks like I was lucky - I watched it on WETA UK which doesn't have pledge drives. Aw, their families were so cute. And, everyone seemed so happy for Nancy. Its just nice watching a show with nice people.

Warren Clarke! How did I forget that he would be on. That was a nice surprise. -
I just keep thinking of Homer Simpson's advice on how to break up with someone - three words I Am Gay. I wonder if they will really close the Mini Mart. Where else will people gossip about someone as that person is walking in? And where will people buy their chocolate?

Oh Rachel. Rep Harris is actually famous for something else - when he first ran for Congress, his platform was basically Obamacare is evil and I will get rid of it. Then on his first day as a Congressman, he found out he wouldn't get heath insurance immediately and had a total meltdown over it. And, the way she treated the Mayor as a plucky heroine standing up to Congress. Sigh. Remember that story did on the Metro accident where someone died. The Mayor was part of the reason that accident happened. Heh, we did try on twitter to get Rachel to ask her about it but it didn't work. -
Heh, I can't decide it Ben was really admitting he was gay or was just desperate for Abi to move not in. So, do we think that Dean is dead?

Happy Veto Day! The President vetoed the bill! -
Honestly. All Max said was maybe you should visit your Mum and she heard it as GET OUT OF MY HOUSE NOW - I HATE YOU. And she moved out with that little suitcase. Please. She was like a small child that runs away (and gives up at the end of the driveway).

People always do that in British mysteries. They are always telling people more than they need to as opposed to just saying "none of your business Miss Marple".
-
Whenever I watch a British production of something, I always have to check IMBD because there is always at least one person that I know I know from somewhere else. Heh, when Kevin McNally shows up, I know I will go crazy trying to figure out why I know that voice. But I guess that's not for a while. Though, the other question is when I will just give up watching one episode every week and just get the series from Netflix.

Lara Pulver's production of Gypsy is transferring to the West End the end of March. Peter Davison is replacing Kevin Whately from its original run. So, instead of Robbie Lewis - its Doctor Who/Tristan Farnon.

We're getting figures! Titan is going to have The Baker Street Collection - http://titanmerchandise.com/news/2015/02/18/announcing-sherlock-titans-the-baker-street-collec/! I think they are on sale in September. Blind boxes are so addictive. You keep getting them because there's one you really want and you never know what's in the box until you buy it.

The Jewel In The Crown - General Discussion

I still remember the first time I watched it during the original run. My Mom had started watching it first and was so upset about Daphne. I had been watching something else but it got canceled so I joined my Mom on the couch and watched the rest of the series with her. Re: Staying On - the book that takes place after the series . -

Heh, I was trying to use one of those British romantic clichés. Cad just seemed more fun. Plus, all I remembered is that he slept with her - not anything else about how it happened. And, its Peggy Ashcroft! No one should treat her like dirt! Man, the casting for Jewel is amazing - a great mixture of already great British actors (like Peggy and Rachel Kempson) and the next generation. -
And why they said the killer wouldn't know themselves until 30 minutes before. Not that the kid couldn't keep a secret but he is a kid. I wonder who would have been the killer if his Dad said no - probably Abi. My guess is that one day Ian will get angry at Bobby and being Ian will tell him that he killed Lucy. Its Ian - when he is angry, he doesn't think about what he is saying.

I kept thinking that Keren looked so familiar so I finally looked it up. It's Sheila White who also played Messalina in I Claudius.

Well, it was an Ian Beale wedding. They always go wrong. Article on 14 things we learned from the episode (including a spoiler about Peter) http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/tvandradio/eastenders/11426496/EastEnders-live-30th-anniversary-things-we-learned.html And, Jacqueline Jossa had a baby girl on Feb 15th! Which explains why Lauren wasn't around for the live portions of last week.

BC is now a character in the Family Guy game and recorded lots of funny things for his character to say. Oscars update: for those who love his love of scarfs he wore one to the rehearsal. His parents are in LA and... a picture of his front row tickets! His stylist posted them https://mobile.twitter.com/joewoolfe/status/569542100305387520/photo/1 -

.....but her reputation is in shatters because her family threw her under the bus. Though, I guess both of them will no longer ever be able to vote again. That's something at least. But they really got away with it - the sentencing is so much less than they could have gotten. -
Heh, a young woman in California twitter handle is bobbiebeale and couldn't figure out why she kept getting tweets accusing her of killing Lucy. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02kfb4f?ns_mchannel=social&ns_campaign=bbc_5_live&ns_source=twitter&ns_linkname=radio_and_music Also, apparently there was a contest you could enter to win a trip to the set by guessing the killer and Bobby wasn't included in the list. People aren't very happy about that.

Its been a while since I've read them and I think I liked them but didn't love them. The thing I found a bit bizarre in that she won all the awards for the books when I think they weren't that amazing because Jean Plaidy had already written the same story but so much better. Of course, she didn't write about Cromwell like these books did but she wrote about the Tudor Court in many books. I just found Jean Plaidy's books so much enjoyable to read - its how I know so much about British royalty.
