  1. This is probably the main reason he is questioning doing another season. He probably has more influence than he ever has and dumbing down his character more probably isn’t something he wants to do.
  2. He made her baked nachos with low fat cheese so she wouldn’t die before she was 60! He was upset that she figured it out.
  3. That goes both ways...especially season 6! I think FanFiction has made me love the couple more than the show ever did. Especially the revival.
  4. I just have to say in this thread that I love Lorelai. I find her funny, corky, insecure, very flawedand and deep down a caring person (trying to get some votes for Taylor, getting the DVD player for her mom, sewing for plays and festivals). She does say some shallow things about others but only to her daughter. And if we’re honest, we’ve all done that too.
  5. Agreed! When Luke was pouring his heart out to her in fall, her face just looked strange. She used to be able to face act so well. Too much Botox!
  6. Part of me thinks they are going to kill off April because there’s no way Jackson would let her take Harriet out of state and realistically, April wouldn’t leave her. However, the writers may want to make Jackson more available to women without a child to contend with. It will be interesting to see what they do? How many episodes are left? I had thought they were done filming for the season. Apparently not.
  7. Thanks. I’ve half heartedly been watching the show the last couple of years and have not really gotten into any of the new characters.
  8. I’m new to this forum and don’t know what this means :)
  9. As stated many times, both April and Arizona add diversity to the show. Now they have added a transgender doctor and they always have patients that represent the LGBTQ community. April is really the only character that is a person of faith and is more diverse than the rest of the cast. I doubt they will replace that. I was really looking forward to her story as it had a lot of meat to it and could have been really good.
  10. I mean Lorelai not liking Nicole.
  11. When did she say she didn’t like her? I only remember Nicole giving her dirty looks at the Poe reading.
  12. Obviously the man doesn’t have the best recall of the series. He also said something about Lorelai standing alone with snow falling around her after the wedding...rose pedals, buddy :) But regardless, he is right, that bit was pretty bad. Not much in the revival about the couple was fulfilling except the end...and even that was a little too late for me.
  13. Yeah, before I knew anything about the temperament of ASP, I thought the writers had changed their minds about the romance between the two. Then, season 3 started and ended with dreams of each other...It was very confusing :/
  14. Agreed on the surrogacy. It’s interesting to see him questioning ASP because he always sung her praises...maybe he finally watched all 4 seasons and changed his mind!
  15. I hated the surrogate storyline too. And then the whole bit about Luke not knowing how it worked. He seems more protective of the character he developed than he used to. I may be curious enough to watch again but I certainly don’t care if they make another one. In an interview with ASP following the release of AYITL she said “Lorelai is happy for now”. It doesn’t seem like she plans on leaving her that way if she does continue it.
  16. I was surprised to see Scott Patterson say anything negitive about the revival. Also, that he would be less than 100% on board with doing another one. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.usmagazine.com/entertainment/news/scott-patterson-disliked-one-story-line-in-the-gilmore-girls-revival/amp/
  17. Rory manipulating her grandfather to get what she wanted and then moving in with them without a word would hurt me. I never thought it was about her bad decisions.
  18. I wanted to share my favorite LL video. All the feels of the first 3-4 seasons. Hope you enjoy it too. BTW, ASP not only dumbed him down but his wardrobe got worse every year. His clothes at least fit him the first year and they got baggier every year until AYITL when his flannels were gigantic! Except season 7, when she was not writing.
  19. I agree about the Lorelai/Rory relationship. When I watched it the first time I remember thinking that. Lorelai would say they were best friends and I thought, I don’t see it. Rory would throw her under the bus in a heartbeat to save her own hide. Just like when Lorelai stayed from FND to pack her up for college. Rory just said she had things to do and Emily got mad, she never clarified it.
  20. I agree, and stated that in my post. However, Lorelai’s wrongs don’t right Luke’s wrongs. I enjoy these discussions too :)
  21. It was wrong not to tell him but she did stay at the mother’s house with his mom and daughter there. The writers didn’t write that in the script when Lorelai told Luke to add all the drama.
  22. I Like Luke but also understand this because I became disappointed in his character. He couldn’t “walk the talk”. He said he was “all in” but he bolted at the first sign of a problem. He said “no secrets” but when something happens that might make him look bad, he keeps secrets and lies. Also, he treated Rachel and Nicole bad by being absent and closed off, causing them to leave him. Then he looks like the injured party. He did it to Lorelai too, pushing her away, and admitted it (not that I condone her reaction to it). Always the martyr, just like Jess said. We’re suppose to see him as strong and honorable, but his character is actually quite weak and hypocritical. And yet, I still find myself liking him, but totally get it when some fans don’t.
  23. I’ve been watching ER on Hulu. I remember Kathleen Wilhoite (Liz) played a doctors drug addict sister. I didn’t remember when I watch GG that she just pulled out her old character from ER to play Liz; exactly like a younger Liz would be...the way she talked and mannerisms. I have never seen her in anything else to know if she’s any good but she’s certainly stereotyped in those roles.
  24. I agree, except maybe avoid him entirely! He was so weird during his band stuff, that didn’t float my boat! I’ve heard him contradict himself in interviews; he’s just always acting and saying what he thinks the current audience wants to hear. Maybe other actors do that, I don’t know, but I know he did. I think he’s a strange dude; I had to quit following him on Twitter. I can see why Lauren Graham wasn’t close to him, she’s a class act!
