Totally agree. This could have been understandable a year later but 10 years made the couple look down right pathetic! Some things she should have changed to suit the timeline better.

There was also a scene that Lauren spoke of her horseback riding too. I heard in an interview that Michele was shocked so much of his scene buying the building was cut. Also, L&L's "intense adult scenes" SP teased with :) Did you hear they were not adding anything extra? It would be silly not to, they would sell more.

Well, of course but the language here seems to mostly speak of the characters as real. We all know ASP decided to assassinate one of the most beloved characters to negotiate her contact. So glad I wasn't watching this during it's original run and was able to binge through the awfulness!

But did you like the later part of season 6 Luke? He let me down big time.

I have heard this before, especially about dumbing down Luke and Dean. It's a popular option that L&L's chemistry was much stronger in season 1. Emily wasn't as schrill and a little nicer. Sookie was funnier, klutzier and cuter in season 1 too. All in all, many would agree with you, including me.

I only read LL fics and there is one called "It Was Never Uncomplicated"https://www.fanfiction.net/s/2951568/1/It-Was-Never-Uncomplicated by buckice that has them finding each other 15 years after Partings. Loved it. "Time Heals" https://www.fanfiction.net/s/7725549/1/Time-Heals by DeepFriedCake is a favorite of mine too. A more recent one by Meags09 is "Becoming Ava Gardner" https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12154924/1/Becoming-Ava-Gardner is also awesome. I could recommend many more but these seem like more of what you are looking for; there are many reconciliation fics but these are them getting back together years later and complete. I got the music to "if I could write" for my granddaughter to learn on her guitar. The music sets a warm and cozy backdrop for this show.

Now there's three momentous occasions Rory put a damper on...telling her mom she was pregnant on her wedding day.

I think we still need more L&L! I enjoyed savvyliterate latest and I hope she plans to continue A Heart so Hollow too.

I've seen surveys and season 3 was a favorite. I thought it was slow as well.

I love it but was disappointed in the revival.

I thought for sure there would be memories that Lorelai would talk about in her funny manner to catch us up. But it was more like the last 9 years never happened except for when Luke and Lorelai talked about being together for that long. And season 7 didn't happen for Logan because he didn't get himself together...he was still a womanizing jerk and under his family's thumb. I liked a few things but it was disappointing.

I think it's understandable. I know of a popular GG fanfiction writer that won't watch it either.

Being engaged is much more than a love life. That said, I'm not excusing Anna's ballistic behavior, expecially in his place of business. Had Luke handled the whole April situation better, the party wouldn't have been an issue and Lorelai wouldn't have been just "some woman".

All the drama from the party would have been avoided if Luke would have been honest with Anna about being engaged to Lorelai...

What exactly do you think occurred to Lorelai that made her think clearly overlooking that vista? Maybe by giving her mom what she wanted with a nice story of her dad and she could let go of past resentments? Then she could admit she wants to marry Luke? The marriage part didn't ring true to me because of how badly she wanted to marry him in Season 6. It would have made more sense to me if she was afraid to jinx their relationship due to past engagement and their past and failed brief marriages.

I have a question. I am not very familiar with an archive of our own and am wondering if there is much there that differs from FanFiction? I've read a few from links here and what I've seen seems like duplications. Just looking for something new. My favorite stories are angst-filled LL stories and I'm sure I've found all of them on FanFiction. Thanks in advance for any info.

I'd say you are pretty eloquent yourself, openwindow. I've always said they are perfectly flawed for each other.
