  1. I was mostly they questioning the very little screen time Scott and Lauren had together in season 7 when Lauren was a producer and Palladinos were out.
  2. Interesting. They did a good job of hiding it. It could have been better but I really liked them together. It does explain the lack of screen time together in season 7 with LG at the helm. Maybe that's one of the reasons SP said making a YITL was so much better with everyone appreciating what they had back then and made it so much better this time around. Now he says he had a crush on LG.
  3. Yes, she did say that at the reunion. But I did read it in an older article about her wanting Chris to be the endgame that was on posted on twitter during all the excitement of the revival. The Gilmore Guys evaded to it several times during their podcast of GG and in their broadcast of "Bonvoyage" they were talking about after LL finally kissed and Kevin said something like the both of them probably wiped off their month and ran...again paraphrased because I don't remember exact words but I got their meaning. Apparently Kevin knows someone that worked on the set as he had mentioned it several times. I don't care about how they felt about each other privately, I just always wondered if it was true and if it could have effected the direction their story went. As much as I love it, I get what you are saying because it is so awkward at first. But I did like it because of the old movie look of it and they were back together. Limo kiss...YES to that too!
  4. A Star is Born is mine too. Along with the old movie playing in the background, the kiss itself is shot in an old movie style as they pan out and she shuts the door. Just love it. Just some random thoughts I have pondered about these two: Season 1 did really give us a strong sexual vibe between the two, then it seemed more like friendship after that and it makes me wonder if the Palladinos changed their mind about the pairing but were forced to due to the fans. I even wondered if at the beginning of season 7 if the plan was for them to reunite and they played out the Chris and Lorelai pairing to see how the ratings would be. It's said that Lauren wanted Chris and Lorelai to be the endgame (not to mention Lauren and Scott's animosity towards each other) plus she had more to say about season 7 as a producer. It would make sense the lack of screen time Luke and Lorelai have together until the very end. I love them too and I don't like to think my thoughts are correct.
  5. I would have changed Lorelai's treatment of Luke. The way she drowned him out with the radio when Rory came home and when she took off from the Dragonfly to help Rory when he was helping her in the kitchen. Even when he was pouring his heart out to her she didn't act like most women would when someone expressed their devotion to them. Maybe it was all the Botox that made her face hard to read; the OS she was a master of expressing her emotions with her facial expressions. I guess he wasn't perfect either, I didn't like how he snapped at her about April. As much as everyone loved the kitchen scene, I didn't like that Luke was willing to sell himself out and open franchise diners if that's who she wanted him to be. Everything else was great but that seemed weak and OOC for him. I always liked their story so much so it was very disappointing. It actually made season 7 much better to me, the last half anyway.
  6. I listened to the audiobook and I can't remember everything she said about the revival itself but I couldn't forget her rave review of the musical in AYITL. She continued to say that it was so good that she believed (this is paraphrased) it would be used in the with future with colleges and acting schools because it was so good and funny. As I said, I can't remember exactly what she said but that was the gist of it. Probably because I was still in shock of her glowing review :/ Here are a few other things I do remember: During her line at the campfire when she said "My name is Lorelai Gilmore and I am from a small in Connecticut", that it was very difficult for her to get it out without crying. how great it was to see the guy that played Digger and it was emotional for her to get her lines out with him. Of course, she was happy to see David Sutcliff. She said very little about Scott Patterson, except for the fact that Luke was not suppose to be a regular character in the show and Scott made it happen for himself. There was a little more about other cast members but that is what I remember. Much of her book was her life in college and breaking into show business. I think it was better to listen to it because I could clean my house while I listened; I don't think it would of kept my interest to read it.
  7. But she wrote be book prior to the release of the series. She also said in the book how great the musical was and people would love it.
  8. I am visiting this page after a few weeks and notice that there isn't as much chatter going on and it makes me wonder if interest is down due to the disappointment of the revival? It is for me, so I may just be projecting my feelings. I didn't hate it but I didn't find it satisfying. My speculation is that there will not be another season, the reviews don't seem to be strong enough. AYITL wasn't nominated for any awards, including the People's Choice Award. After all, it was the diehard fans that made the revival happen and then ASP really did leave many of them down. Not to mention that ASP will probably have a little hissy-fit that people didn't love her little musical and the LDB debacle, and refuse to write more.
  9. I didn't really care about the Paul story but because no one could remember him, even Luke, I didn't see the girls as being shallow because of it. I thought it was just a corky little thing that was sprinkled throughout the series. Also for Luke, they should have just left him bald. It was such an awful piece and totally distracting.
  10. I thought for sure we would see the girls talking about things that had happened over the past 9 years to fill in the blanks; I could see Lorelai telling funny stories in her fun animated way. No musical or LDB...a total waste of time. Not make Luke a total oaf...really, not knowing about surrogacy. And dressing him in clothes that are 3 sizes too big. I liked his and Jess's relationship. It would have been more realistic had Lorelai and Luke tried to have children but couldn't conceive, rather than having them not talk about it for 9 years. The Paris storyline could have still been used. I liked Emily's story and her and Lorelai's resolution. I hated everything about Rory, but I lost interest in her character from season 5 so I didn't really care.
  11. I have been embarrassed for him too, watching his tweets...the bad singing, hats, wigs and performances, so I unfollowed him. The song/video he released is awful too. There is a dark side to that man.
  12. According to a recent article by ASP (sorry, I couldn't copy the link) she is considering an abortion for Rory if there is a new season. Which would totally blow her full circle, unoriginal idea for the end of the series and her final four words.
  13. My speculation for another season is dim. I know that this show is about Rory and Lorelai but there was much emphasis put on Luke and Lorelai's relationship and I believe many of those shippers were let down. It almost seemed like ASP had to have them be together and get married for a lame attempt to fan service, but there story was written with less than enthusiasm. This revival was written with things that ASP loved; theater plays and the LDB. I'm not saying a little didn't have a place in it, but so much had to be cut from her scripts to accommodate her passions, therefore eliminating the stories the fans wished to see. Questions weren't answered that helped bring this revival to life. Questions from the fans that made the revival possible. The Gilmore Guys did a survey of which final people liked better; more chose season 7 over the revival. The OS was Lorelai's story. If there is another season it will be Rory's story and that is not one that I care to follow. I had to chuckle when I read the article that ASP said she didn't think she wrote Rory unlikeable. For me, Rory hasn't been likeable since the end of season 4. If there were to be another season, I may watch out of curiosity but I won't be looking forward to it as I did this one. At least I won't be disappointed.
  14. And now he releases his music video to further confirm this.
  15. The small wedding with Reflecting Light was beautiful. My problem was there was about 30 seconds of Luke...there was more of Rory than the groom. Maybe they were showing how happy Lorelai is but it just seemed odd to me.
  16. When Lorelai talks to Luke about kids. She said it's great to see your kid graduate and he said he got to see Rory graduate, and Lorelai said it's not the same. Not in a million years could I believe Luke would miss April's high school or college graduation. How do they miss such blatant details?
  17. I believe the hat Lorelax put on was ASPs. I wondered if the ballet dancers were really Luke's flash mob :)
  18. When Rory was talking to her dad I thought it was for her book, so if they decide that she is a surrogate for Paris that could easily be explained away.
  19. One of the bad things about the revival is it will probably be the end (for the most part) of fics for Java Junkie fans. Those stories were few and far between all the Rory stories as it was. But now the younger fans see Luke and Lorelai happily married, and dare I say, old. But us "seasoned" fans still love their stories. I hope I'm wrong.
  20. My entertainment world is my escape from politics and injustices of the world. Being a part of the "snow globe" town is just what what I'm looking for when it's time to relax. I don't want a writer's agenda trying to influence viewers, we have news channels for that :)
  21. But could that happen if there would be a season 2 without AB? Some say she's not as invested in the show. Probably wouldn't do one without her though it would be ok with me.
  22. Because there really wasn't that much to discuss about them. I wish there was more. Luke's plea to Lorelai in 4 was what every shipper has ever wanted him to say, but that and only a few shots of them together at the wedding is all we really got. That was disappointing.
