From what I've seen, I've found Kitty to be abrasive, but I figured it kind of went with the territory, as I think many in her position are hyper-critical in a not so nice way to get her students to perform better. On a lesser scale, I was in band front in high school, and the band director was always yelling at us about how awful we were at practice, but somehow we became magically great at competitions. With regard to the Chelsea situation, I thought the abrasiveness was so over the top that it seemed fake, almost like she was playing that season's villain. I don't recall in any of the seasons Kitty being the one to point out weight issues (at least to that extent), and I thought the tattling was a bit over the top. ETA: bigskygirl, I apologize if this just went against your post! :)

Just a thought I'm throwing out here (which is probably stupid as hell)...maybe off-screen when Aly was a toddler Darla bombarded her with messages of "purity" so she didn't end up being looked at as some ditzy bimbo, and somehow it stuck with her. Sorry...that's all I got :)

Honestly, many have spoken up about it to no avail. I feel like this is much like trolling...the more the troll is fed, the more (s)he trolls. Don't respond; or better yet, don't go to places like Twitter where nastiness is hidden in anonymity. To be clear, I don't mean this in a "blame the victim" way, as in "it's your fault you're upset, you shouldn't be on Twitter reading that crap", I mean it as in "you can't control someone else's behavior, only yours."

This confuses me a little. I know from watching MTT that rookie candidates make SG but are told that doesn't automatically mean they're on the squad. What would they do if one of them did subsequently get cut? Is there an alternate that would take her place, or would SG just be down one member?

Agreed! I wasn't watching too often at the time, but wasn't Thorne married when he got Darla pregnant? So really neither of her parents have histories of being champions for morality.

I hope it's not Benzie. When Kaitlyn, in front of the other guys, ordered Joshua to tell her who wasn't happy with Nick being there, Joshua said Benzie was one of them, and Benzie threw him under the bus. Yeah, I'm holding that against him :) Am I misreading, or does this mean she also had sex with Ben? A threesome? Better call Saul! :)

If I were dating more than one person...you know, as in the premise of the show :)...intimacy or not I personally think meeting the families would be pretty awkward. I understand the idea is that you may not want to be with someone if you don't get along with the family, but if it's true that so many of the bachelor(ette)s have their minds made up early, I imagine meeting families of people you know you're going to break up with is really uncomfortable.
