  1. AIU last I heard, still required an admissions test. I wish going to school online was as easy as you make it seem. There are TONS if not 100's of "real schools" that offer an online option. It's not as easy as 'log on, pay a fee' and boom, you get a degree! It takes time, patiences, and a lot of dedication to earn a degree online, or even attend online classes. Online classes are MUCH harder than attending school. However, let me know which schools let you earn a degree that easily!
  2. This! Colorism is alive and well, and it makes me sad. Tiana/Serayah is also biracial, 1/4 White. Her grandmother is White. I'm also biracial, my g g grandma was biracial...I'm joking, but they aren't. TH's grandma was on The Cosby Show, that's something that I just learned.
  3. The NOI (Nation of Islam) is notorious for it's colorism. Almost every single person in power has VERY light skin. My sisters attended Muhammed University, (NOI school) and my sister who happens to be dark skin felt very confused by it. I'm in the opinion that the NOI is a personality cult. Just because they preach Black nationalism, doesn't mean that they practice it. I have always found the NOI very contradictory, sure they preach one thing, but the history, and attending show a very different story. Lucious' father could very well be a mixed race person in the NOI. Malcolm X even complained about the colorism in the NOI. I try not to get in the biracial debate, but at what point does one become Black? I know back in the day when "passing" was more common, one who is passing would consider their children with White. I guess it's not the same for Blacks. The words of Paul Mooney come to mind. Petey Pablo's name is Clyde. I thought Ludacris was Clyde. I was wondering why in the song he was saying Clyde told him to keep his open for jealous people.
  4. I remember him claiming to be biracial when he first became famous. I assume that he was supposed to be biracial because of the curly hair. Luscious Lyon has kinky hair...when it's short like now. When he wears it longer, I swear that's a conk (Malcolm X style!), TH seems like the type to relax his hair. This is the first link that I found. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/08/20/terrence-howard-star-of-the-butler-is-an-actor-with-a-dark-past.html
  5. I'm sure that Terrance Howard has it in his contract that he must always be portrayed as a biracial child. He claims to be biracial, but he's not. Colorism at it's finest.
  6. I actually like the song, and I will add it to my Spotify playlist.
  7. I think I'll watch now. I hear Sheree threw a drink in Kenya's face.
  8. She has to see She by Sheree sometimes! "Who gonna check me Boo?" Is still my favorite quote ever! It's not too late Sheree to make the t-shirt, girl. I will buy one, maybe even 2. I'll trade Claudia, and Cynthia for Sheree. Wait, let's leave Cynthia. I think Sheree will make mincemeat out of both Cynthia and Kenya. All while fake kicking it with Nene, and shading the shit out of her, and everyone else in her talking heads. Please Bravo!
  9. I hate, and I mean fucking HATE Kenya. Nene, you my girl, but you did flirt with Peter. You may not have wanted to go there with him, but I remember you commenting on his beautiful skin color a few times. Kandi, you fucking annoy me. I still hate you for Xscape. I'll never forget. You have the most whiney voice ever. Porsha, don't wear that make up, or that dress again. Never. So unflattering. Cynthia, I can't even look at you. Claudia....who? Bring back Sheree!
  10. All of this! I'm out next year. I can't take any more of the coven of witches.
  11. I was walking and typing, and couldn't get this out. This is what I wanted to say! What Joyce said is far worse than anything Nene has said in my opinion.
  12. Nene is no where near as toxic as Joyce. Nene may be defensive, and not here for everyone, but I've never heard her accuse someone of being the things MJ said.
  13. Not to mention the ice storms. The ice storms down this way are very bad. I'm in Illinois, but I'm less than a hour from the KY border, and travel there frequently. Hey neighbor Swankie.
  14. Exactly! I would've bit her back with, well my grandfather's dead, so we can't ask him what he thinks. However, your Mom's alive, and judging by what you say, I don't think she's to proud to call you her daughter. Oh, wait, has she EVER called you her daughter? Yeah, I'm that petty, and I don't like her that much. She tries to cut where it hurts, and no one ever goes there. It looks like someone brings up Nene's Mom. It better not be Kenya. I swear
  15. There was also one in March 2015. I remember being stuck in Clarksville Tn. Interstate 24 was closed down, and a complete parking lot. If this was taped in March, I understand her point.
  16. Cynthia gets on my nerves. That makeup...did she look in the mirror? I don't like her or her coven of witches. I'm lumping Kandi in with them, because frankly, I don't like her either! I'll never forgive that non singing bitch for breaking up Xscape, but I digress. If I were Porsha, I wouldn't apologize either. If I'm not sorry, I'm not going to lie, and apologize to make you feel better. Especially when I felt threatened maybe it's my Chicago upbringing, or other things in my past, but I get very defensive ifyou invade my personal space. I'm not a fighter, haven't had a fight since I was 12, but if it were me, she would've got her ass beat for pointing and screaming in my face. I admire you civilized ladies who are able to walk away. Kenya would still feel the effects of the ass beating I had given her. Kenya, no one, and I'll let you point your scepter in my face if I'm proven wrong, but no network will buy your crapoy show. I really wish someone would, then you could leave the show. Take the coven+Kandi with you. Ne-Ne, unlike most, I'm a fan, of you, not your hair. Nexttime someone ask about Bryson, if he is in fact on a state sponsored time out, just say that. Everyone knows what he's done, and did in the past. It's all public record. Also, make an effort to keep at least one friend on the show If you and Phaedra come back, don't turn on her next season. I as a viewer haven't turned on you. Not even when you wore that one wig that scared Phaedra babies. Phaedra, as someone going through martial problems, I can't imagine having to live it out on TV. Maybe it's time for a vacation. Honey, you're going to have to take your kids to see Apollo. He's their father. Their not the first, nor the last kids to have a parent in prison. Claudia, please, go away. I've never liked you, now I dislike you more. Best part of the reunion? Cynthia dumb ass asking wny Porsha would say that Peter cheats, and when Porsha tried to answer...she talked over her. All I heard was something about a Bar One waitress. Cynthia, either you want the truth or you don't. I suspect that you already know.
  17. I guess this was Seeds of Yesterday. It was my 2nd least favorite book. I sta5started to not watch the movie, and then I saw the actor playing Bart. They did a very good job casting him. What a handsome young man! Chris on the other hand, I pictured a bit more handsome. Please Lifetime, Heaven. Please do it right, please! I don't know who should play Heaven, but I do know that it had better not take place in a town.
  18. Yes. I guess that would also be correct. For years, the public opinion has really swayed towards Sci. Not just in America. Teaming up with a so called "real" religion or one of the religions that's well established, and outrraching in poorer communities makes them look a lot better than they did in the past. If you don't know their history. Some of us in the Black community find Scientology's presence very disturbing. I'm not going to get into to the racism, which wasn't touched. So much racism with LRon Hubbard, and Missedcabbage (I like that Kromm), and now they want to mess up the charter schools and churches in the Black community. As if the Creflo Dollar's of our community weren't doing enough harm.
  19. Actually, they kind of go hand in hand. The NOI believes in the Mothership, and that they're deceased leader is in the Mothership. Not that different. The NOI received $1 million from Scientology, I'm not sure if that's annual or what. I do know that they have annual meetings in Florida, and some of the higher ups in the NOI have met with Miscagive. This marriage is scary, because it makes Scientology more legitimate when people were getting traction. It helped the NOI because they were a dying organization, the cash really helped FaraConn. The school was broke, and failing badly. I'll tell you this much, he didn't send HIS kids, or grandkids to Muhammed University high school. He knew that the education wasn't accredited. The one to watch is Ismael, he's the next in line, and he's very close to Scientology. I wonder if FarraCon credits Scientology with "curing" his cancer? I think that the NOI missed this little gem from LRon Hubbard on Islam, not that the NOI is real Islam.
  20. I love Empire, Daniels, not so much. The less I hear from him the better. The less he keeps injecting his story into the story of Jamal. I'm perfectly fine with Jamal's story, and him being the way that he is, and yes growing. However, if Jamal starts acting like the Daniels of the articles, Empire will lose a viewer. Although, the fur hammock, YES!
  21. I really wish they had touched on Scientology and the new outreach to the Black community, more, specifically, the Nation of Islam. The NOI teach Dinetecs, they also do auditing. They're holding joint convention at the Florida headquarters. It's not true that Sci. doesn't so outreach in poor communities, as of the past few years, they have. Here and abroad. What's most disturbing is the relationship with the NOI, because they've really enmeshed themselves. The NOI had the first Auditors graduation in 2013. The NOI has it's own private school system, and you can guess which system they're teaching. Scientology is very far from having its tax exemption revoked, instead, it's going to use the Black church to legitimized itself. If you do a quick Google search, you will find a few links, but look at the images, they tell the full story. They've been very good about keeping this under wraps, so much so, that no one mentioned it in this thread. There are people who keep watch over both groups that are very concerned. http://tonyortega.org/?s=islam&submit.x=0&submit.y=0&submit=Search
  22. Not lately. I'm sure her good friend Timbaland can get her to do a song and episode. Please make it happen.
  23. Dumbass Annie, oh how I hated that book. HATED IT! I tried to reread it as ab adult, horrible! Heaven and it's sequel were everything. What about Garden of Shadows? I would love to see the lady who played the Grandmother as the Grandmother agin. She was one of the best things about the remake. Garden of Shadows was very good compared to every book after POTW. I dread watching that little shit Bart, but I'm V.C. bitch, and have been so every since I saw my Mom reading FITA. I wilk endure that little shit Bart, but I will need outside help, and commentary.
  24. I took that as him being a jackass. I forgot, Gabby is open season because she's fat. /eyerollNot directed towards you Coff, but I found Daniels very off putting.
