The arrest is actually an even better argument for Felicity not likely to be in kahoots with a criminal in her family.

No clue, but at least I guess he will now somehow be able to go out in public when he does. Providing SC somehow manages to lose all that access weight in morally compromised schmucks over the summer.

I'm not sure I actually consider this a good episode, but it had some honestly touching and shocking moments. In the first category, (1) SA's performance when Oliver was telling Jean he wanted a life after the Green Arrow. I actually found nothing contrary to the purpose of him uniting both sides of himself, but the realization that he wanted a long and fulfilled life with his family. GA is hardly a job one would do in his 60's. (2) Oliver's face when he saw "Tommy" in the courtroom was heart wrenching. The fact that they revealed later on he actually knew it was Chance made his emotions all the more poignant. (3) Felicity during their talk about what she and William should do in case of Oliver going to prison. I mean, just In the shocking category, the verdict. I knew about Oliver getting aquitted, but I expected that to be the jury's doing and was legitimitely looking forward to having it confirmed that at least 7 of SC's denizens aren't corrupt morons. Then came the judge and there being one completely unexpected non-corrupt non-moron. And then bam, it's Chance. Kudos on that. Was that the first time the newcaster lady appeared "live" on the show and not just on screens? Good for her! William weirded out by the mask was his best acting moment. I was unclear about why Felicity simply didn't say Noah walked out on her when she was 7. This got cut, I assume? I expected the rest to walk into Rene's apartment after Oliver.

I haven't been around for a few days, so I'm a little confused about BS and BC working together in the finale. Has this been confirmed somewhere? Because Dinah turned on Oliver for not prioritizing Vince over the city but she's going to work with the woman who killed him?

That’s pretty much his red carpet face. It could mean anything from feeling down in the dumps to completely elated.

Has EBR’s hair grown out or does she have extensions? Her pony tail seems relatively long. Also, that black dress would be mich better without the flounce at the bottom.

So far the handmaids we've seen are far too young to be approaching menopause and I feel like it was the same way in the book. I would be shocked if Gilead had come up with a plan on what to do with them 20+ years down the line. If they didn't make too much trouble and actually lived long enough, I could see them becoming Marthas. I guess I could imagine Janine as an aunt one day if things played out differently with her. She's enough of a basket case to see it as a calling.
-
Her using Ruby was pretty telling. She is stuck in experiencing sex through Ruby's point of view. And Ruby wasn't there to receive pleasure, but offer it. It's fucked up and depressing. But you reminded me of something else. Am I misremebering, or was Moira in a relationship when Gilead arose? What happened to her wife/girlfriend/parner? I'm drawing a blank.

Just prior to this these women were supposed to stone Janine to death. That was no fake out. And Janine has proven she has a working reproductive system, plus she's supposed to be extra fertile right now. I don't find it implausible that the handmaids would expect to be offed. I wouldn't have been surprised if they had executed one of them as warning, but who's going to bet on the fact it's not going to be the floor under their feet that will drop? Gilead isn't based on rules, it's based on intimidation anf subjugation.

William can take on the action segment and trip Rene as he approaches the stairs. Woops.
-
Right, the I’m dead tour.
-
Which at least is in character.

I'm honestly shocked here. Whenwas the last time SA was scheduled to promote the show? Four or five years ago?
-
He looks like a cannibal unhappy with the spread of villagers he was offered. Is that all, those scrawny things?
-
That was also Dig down in the dumps and dealing with the guilt of killing his brother. Plus, he wasn’t jailed with hundreds of inmates who knew he was responsible for them being in prison in the first place. I don’t feel this parallels Oliver at this point at all. Unless something really drastic happens in these last three episodes. Of course the writers could still try to sell this as similar situations, I just wouldn’t buy it.
-
Frankly, even if Oliver spends five months in jail, I’d find it hard to believe that Felicity and at least Dig would just let him cool his heels there, let alone for years. They just don’t do that.
-
Good for him, although I'm sad the shoe is doing away with it's last member of the older generation. #bringbackwalterplz

Including the bit about three dresses for one night in a piece about fiscal responsibility is a weird choice. Her wearing the dresses isn’t the problem, but the writer should have framed it better. Like, I am sooo responsible with money I now get to afford the wedding I want or something.
-
I think he signed over a deed for a piece of city property.
-
Does Rene take Zoe to the trial? That’s an interesting parenting choice.
-
If he does go to jail and turns himself in, my preferred reason would this being a tactical move like getting himself captured by Anatoly. Maybe he needs to grapple with a problem in Iron Heights. Otherwise, it's beyond idiotic to get himself locked up with hundreds of violent criminals in whose inarcerations he was instrumental.
-
That has some legs if because of nothing else, then because Lance opened himself up to Diaz' manipulation last week. I seem to remember the days when I thought he would be a better mayor than Oliver. Not so much anymore. However he, unlike everybody but Felicity, has proven that he's on Oliver's side this season, so at least Oliver's loyalty would be earned in that scenario.

I don't think the reading ban is affecting this. These were all, or at least for the most part, adults who could read and had access to this information before the rise of Gilead. I'd sooner put my money on disbelieving it (global warming and evolution of the species, what's that?) and/or believing that God was protecting them unlike thescum that was sent there as punishment.
