Whoa. A one handed cartwheel with boxing gloves on? Dayum. Maybe this is another secret Felicity is keeping from Oliver and she's getting fighting lessons from Youtube.
-
If Donna says he's her boyfriend, then it's a done deal. 2. I imagine Felicity being squicked out that she and the supervillain de jour share a taste in wies. 4. He needed her to give him a diving lesson. On solid ground. Which could have been done in the cave. ... Yeah. 5. Yes! That would have been a great reason for a crossover. Here's hoping someone on the writing team catches wind of it and jots it down for next season. I know! I kind of hate them. And love them. Ooooh. That's really good. Or, what if they're stuck in that corn field somewhere? Real or not real still to be revealed. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Slade is still my man because of his direct connection to Oliver. But Darhk can have shotgun. Hello! I was too wrapped up in the sweetness of Oliver carrying Felicity out and thinking how it would be nice if Dig had offered Thea a hand to get out to notice this, but man alive. Another thing about Laurel is that they really do need to give her a new skill or two. They had Felicity whacking bad duded with a pipe and I'm not seeing much difference with BC's tonfa fighting. GASP. There are so many great ideas for the next season cropping up. You know he's off being a blubbering mess on the sidelines somewhere. It's finally happening! I'm really digging both of these ideas.

Oliver: "It was a holiday party." Donna: "I knew Oliver loved you, but not this much." Donna: "I don't know who's more excited, you or me. I think it's me!"

I'm still working through the thread, but I've got to say this really was a good hour of TV. My main complaint, as pretty much always, is that no scene is allowed to breathe, ever. Like, my God. Plus the gas chamber (if someone has an alternate explanation for this, I would really love to hear it) and the flashbacks. Why will no one teach that actress how to act?! At least Conklin is back. The only one out of the entire crew who knows how to. Not for the holidays. That happens in May. Donna is truly the best. I think my favorite moment of hers was her smushing Felicity's face. Oliver delivering a beat down is another scene that should have gone on a bit longer. And as much as I enjoyed it - it really was a nice holiday present for me - that shot from below while he was hitting a Ghost didn't work for me. They are diabolical. Why, why are they so good when they are allowed to be? And man, Oliver's, "It was a holiday party", really got to me. Ain't nobody in SC with a death wish that strong. That's the biggest endorsement I can give to these people. Heh. That would have been great. A shave for the holidays? How nice. I agree with many of the things you said. The team letting their guard down, Malcolm and Quentin needing to be addressed, the need for DD to have better henchmen than the Ghosts who are starting to look more like an annoyance than a threat and Laurel being on the hotline. Although that last one is clearly because of plot so that she didn't get taken with the others. That was a really nice and warm delivery. That's a great point about missing the electricity drain. I don't really mind Malcolm not knowing about DD's powers from Ra's' journals. DD lost to Ra's after all, so I'm working on the assumption that he's developed his skills since his time in the League. Man, with her and William last week, what is it with these kids and their lack of self-preservation skills? As for Curtis, there's only one explanation. Lack of time.

I don't know if Oliver will ever go after a child, but this episode gave me the feeling that DD is similar to Ivo in a way. Batshit crazy for family. The whole thing with growing crops probably ties into his kid somehow. Oh, he totally sensed something with Thea. Maybe they're connected on some level now. This is really one of the things that have me interested in the rest of the season. If it's not the LP that helped Thea with the bloodlust, then what is it? DD's magicky ways or something to do with Genesis? My first thought was kidney. And thanks for the picture.

He is great. But in my book Malcolm has prolonged his welcome with this episode as well.

Maybe she just didn't know about the fandom or the show? I mean, it's a job for her. It's a pretty unoffensive interview from my point of view. I fault her for some shoddy acting choices but not for this. Even if I'm 99% certain that she hasn't been clued into her character to really do anything with it.

It didn't come off as cringeworthy to me either. My world isn't on fire because of it but it's fine. It totally clicked for her at that point but I really do think she goes off to look for Donna and her 'almost engaged' babble is the consequence of an earlier scene with Donna. Either they've found the ring or Donna comes right out with, "so, has he popped the question yet?"

I actually thinks it's since Shado. I never got the impression that Sara and Oliver slept together on the island. All I remember is a kiss before she was sucked off The Amazo. I thought he was wracked with guilt over Shado's death and Slade way with them for a good chunk of time (talk about a death wish) or they were separated.

Donna's jacket! I love how they go the distance with her wardrobe.
-
EBR in the production office. Her hair is getting longer.
-
Since Oliver won't be the one telling her, I really would prefer Felicity sussing it out on her own.You are all missing something key in that last set photo - Oliver's wearing a nice black sweater.
-
I'm fond of your idea (I think it was yours) that the proposal is actually a trick by the production. Unless this hug was slowed down, it seems to last longer than the one in the behind the scenes video. So fingers crossed that it's actually an 'everyone's alive, I love you, happy Christmukkah' hug. Of course it will be after the proposal however.

The shark is from that. The other two are Oliver being the only one to wear the suit (false) and there being two Christmas tree lightings.
-
According to SA's Facebook Q&A Oliver does parkouring and jumping on moving vehicles in 4x12 (praise) and he speaks Arabic again. When has he ever spoken Arabic? He also gets bitten by a shark in 4x09 and whispers, 'I'm coming for you' to someone. Or something similar, I didn't go back to check the exact quote. It's likely to Felicity through the glass, explaining the whispered I love you as well, I think.
-
I know you're joking. I just meant to say I was a geek who actually thought about that for a split second.
-
Heh. Though I think that one is bigger.
-
What doe sOliver have in his hand when he talks about fighting with light?
-
Could be. My impression is that he's trolling. "Oh, you've calmed down a bit after the episode? Not on Evil Story Steve's watch. I'll get those feather ruffled for the midseason finale." Bear in mind, I saw what you guys brought over here, I have no idea if he's being a complete asshole on Twitter. He's getting heat for that GA vs. Batman thing? That's completely benign and not a brand new quote.

That's where VS was and they planned to face him. The farm is not a problem in and of itself. It's the sequence of events that didn't make sense. There was no reason for Barry to be there early on apart from another nudge, nudge, Barry's always late. And as I said, showing him hanging out in his lab doesn't really scream 'this is a big effing deal, we're fighting an immortl, something most of the twenty of us have any experience and none have success. Although, I'm with Barry that he and Poliver tied with Savage on the Flash portion.
-
Wow, that really is a mini Felicity. I didn't even notice until you guys commented on the comic preview. The blonde hair, the glasses, the bright colors. It's all there.
-
They really didn't sweat all that much about fighting an immortal, did they? I mean, Oliver's off looking into his potential kid and Barry goes to work. I don't really get why he came to the farm in the first place only to go back to CC. Wouldn't it have made more sense for him to finish what he had to do there and then go to the farm? And if Dig was looking into Savage through Lyla and her Argus connections, erm, he lives with her? He could have done that before leaving? Thinking about this episode longer only makes its faults more obvious.
-
It's perfect. Just like what Felicity would talk to kids. And that one must find it so refreshing, not having grown ups talking down to her. I didn't even notice that. First reaction: awww. Second reaction: damn you, show, for your emotional manipulation. They have to. He's been here the whole time, even before the season started so we have to find out something about his plans in the winter finale. The partners being there is a good sign that things have to come to a light. Isn't he supposed to have stolen water from the LP when he defected from the League?
-
I am talking about the film. The script said he was the villain, it just didn't come across that way to me. The 'heroes' were self-involved jerks who were comvinced tehy were sticking it to the man. I'm saying this with the caveat that I saw the movie a long time ago but it's the impression I was left with even when the storyline faded from my memory.

Oh, yeah. I love the music from Rent, but aside from Benny, the lot of them are pretty muh shitheads. I seem to recall being okay with the lawyer as well.
