I couldn't comment when this was posted but probably my favorite twist is the reveal of Tommy's motivation being I was expecting something like a reveal of Laurel actually dying circa season 1, but that didn't make sense time wise. This gives Tommy time to become what he has and is just painful in its irony and how these two guys that love each other are positioned as adversaries.

I've boiled down my reason for liking the superhero genre to me liking order. And at its core, this is what heroing is about, creating or restoring order. So that's the thing that appeals to me on a basic level.

Narratively, seeing as Malcolm organized the Undertaking and Robert was complicit, only to have doubts which is why Malcolm rigged the boat, it makes sensse. The flashbacks are supposedly ending with next season and circling back to the beginning makes sense. However, it would take some major magic to resurrect Robert who shot himself in the head, was picked by seagulls and then buried by Oliver. It's hard for me to take Malcolm seriously these days since other characters treat him as the whacky uncle who pees in the bushes during family picnics. I mean, the dude was complicit in a plan to NUKE THE WORLD and nobody blinked when he showed up in the lair. Come on! That said, if they managed to find a way to make him into what he was in the first season and then take him down once and for all, I'm giving it two thumbs up.

I think that was 100% intentional. And while I also giggled, it can't be denied that Felicity is always shown as having the biggest impact on him at crucial times. She was his last thought when he was dying and losing her in the break up ranked right up there with his nearest and dearest dying. What I, and other posters, found even funnier is that they didn't include losing the kid.

I think she went to Coast City, actually. That one got more shout outs than Central City in S1 as far as I remember.

I've been thinking about this Flashpoint thing and have come to the conclusion that they used it at the wrong moment. It would have been a great starting point for the massive crossover next year. It could impact all shows, be a massive event and then things could be restored to normal by the end of LOT, the time travelling show, so they could all chug along as planned.

I certainly didn't like that there was no more Matthew on DA, but I don't blame Dan Stephens for deciding to do something else. It's his right to do so. Maybe it's also because it started to lose its charm for me in season 3 and didn't really get it back afterwards, so much so that I just stopped watching at one point. What caught my eye is that the listed cast members are him and three women. Which are pretty unusual odds for this type of show, so good for them.

I also expected something about GothFelicity. Not because it's her, but because that's something they hadn't done before that point and it would make sense to show something of the filming process.
