If you're Canadian, substitute Newfie for Aggie. If you're an American from the 70s, substitute Polish for Aggie. If you're an American in the 90s, substitute blonde for Aggie, etc.
Thanks to all the ball washing talk, I've had "Chaucer. Rabelaiz....Baaaaaaaaalzac" in my brain all morning. Mrs. Eulalie McKechnie Shinn would not be amused by the ribaldry here.
If they're going to try out theme weeks, like Bunches of Funches, they could try one where no one can use 2 girls one cup and variations, shocker and variations, or any variation on genitalia.
Directv has a message box on the option bar that shows up when you look at the guide or your list of recorded stuff. They use that for alerts about free premium weekends and new features.
Right now I'm having trouble getting the DVR to reconnect with my router. I'm not sure when or why they stopped speaking, but going through the set up process isn't working. Since I only need it to watch On Demand, which I do maybe twice a year it's mostly just annoying because I can't solve it.
For the Social Sciences majors out there:
How many social scientists does it take to change a light bulb?
Two--one to screw in the bulb and one to compare and contrast.
I love that everyone is adding the ! to Josh, but think he should called be JOSH! to simulate THE CONSTANT FREAKING SHOUTING for which he is so rightly ridiculed.
Agee did make me laugh, for the first and probably only time (not one of my faves), with the "D-I-L-D-O! What does ti spell?" "I don't know. I go to college in Texas."
Maybe it's just because one of my cats is elderly and a couple of posters have recently lost their beloved companions, but I got a little teary when Matt said that his family had lost Jules in the last year.
Comedy Central is the worst to DVR. They either start early so the beginning is cut off or several minutes late so the end is cut off. I've set a manual record to begin at 10:59 and end at 1:00, just in case. They also do something funky that makes the DVR think that every daytime repeat on Monday is a new episode. But only Mondays.
As a state employee in a service position, I've occasionally heard the classic "I pay your salary." I'm also a resident of this state and pay state taxes. Does that make me self-employed?
Wikipedia is welcome to its opinion but to me that screams retcon. And the rest of the Internet has been using Wayback since the archive began. So...so...so there!
