  1. I thought the third episode was supposed to be with Miranda and family with the shrink and Aiden emailing Carrie. Wasn’t that what they have been promo-ing all week? For some reason, I remember the last episode ending with Carrie seeing an email from Aiden … or was this in upcoming promo?? The other story line is also described at the beginning of this this thread … so … what happened? Did they show the episodes out of order or something? Release the wrong promo? Did I miss something?
  2. So now Che was once married to a hot guy? Who dreamed up this situation? Like we’re expected to actually BELIEVE that those two were once a couple? I’m not feeling the Harvard professor with the absent musician husband. They can lose her character entirely! Really don’t need her shallow story line. I too noticed the continuity problem with Harry saying his mom died 10 years ago, when it was more like 30! Seema seems to attract the wrong kind of men … those who need a “sugar mama”. Very telling when he said his ex-wife would pick up the lunch bill. Seema’s ability to see red flags is legit! Kristin Davis still looks strange. Something about her cheeks and mouth becoming “joker-like”. One would think that, after the comments from last season, she would have done something to look normal again! Meg Ryan has the same look. I’m sure the other two have had work done, but they still look like themselves. Carrie looks younger and fresher this season. Glow up? Mini facelift? Something. Great that Carrie’s hair is blonde again and Miranda is red. They were both grey last season, which made them look geriatric! The original show packed more story lines into 1/2 hour than this show did in the entire first season! Where is the comedy? Dramedy? Something? The only reason to watch this, IMO, is for the clothes and the glamour. Boring otherwise. Bring on Aiden and Samantha … I’m waiting …
  3. WTF? That horrible nightgown shift dress monstrosity with the weird stuffed animal “tufts” was in and the car wash skirt went home? 😳😳😳 What were those judges thinking? 🤔 At least the car wash skirt ensemble showed some creativity and that skirt was cute! I swear this must be rigged … 😡😡😡
  4. I agree completely about Gordon putting the kabosh on Midge’s big break on Paar. When she went into Gordon’s office giving him a “chance” to book her first, I KNEW that was a big mistake! I’m hoping she finds out about the kabosh in the future. She should have just kept her mouth shut, gotten on Paar and then said “I told ya so” to Gordon. To be honest, I was surprised that someone as shrewd as Midge would do something so stupid. You don’t show your cards in poker … you just play them!
  5. FINALLY … a thread on this show. Took a while! My first impression was “Valley Girls in Paris”! I see that someone else noticed that too! I like the fashion and the scenery and I’m hoping against hope that this doesn’t go the way of the Bravo housewives shows which have turned into boring repetitive regurgitations of petty arguments. UGH! I had continued to watch only the Beverly Hills and NYC housewives just for the fashion, but now all they wear are obnoxious designer logo prints on EVERYTHING and there’s nothing original about THAT!
  6. It seemed to me that Courtney should have won with his meat free dishes. The judges even complained that Alex’s mushroom dish was too rich and heavy and didn’t really address the “steak” of the steakhouse challenge! I mean, a mushroom with crumbs on top and ONION RINGS? That seems more like the other option they were offered … more like soda shop food! I was ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED when she won! It sure seems rigged to me! I had no desire to taste Alex’s dish as it seemed rather commonplace but Courtney’s surf & turf looked interesting and the only fault the judges found was that the surf aspect was a tad overcooked! How did ONION RINGS win the whole thing? But, then she lost the French food episode where that was her specialty, so who knows? Perhaps that was rigged the other way, to shock viewers and add a little “twist”?
  7. I just read somewhere that this is not a mini series, but a regular series and a second season has just been ordered. That’s IT for me! Not getting any more involved with this. There are better shows to follow. Officially jumping the shark and not watching anymore. Too convoluted, photography is too dark, too many obvious plot holes and I’m not hooked enough to continue. Sayonara!
  8. He should have killed Zoe instead of taking her with him! Did he not kill her because of the one night stand? That last scene makes no sense when you consider that this woman was not savvy enough to even be prepared financially when her husband shorted her alimony payments! I think he should hold a knife to her throat or a gun to her head and make her cancel the email … and then kill her anyway! I missed the first 25 minutes — will catch it on demand tomorrow — maybe then it will all make sense to me? At least the dogs are still alive and evidently Zoe was the one in the trunk. UGH! This is getting so convoluted, what with his daughter possibly going to meet her biological father, whom she’s asked her daddy to kill … and soon! And, what was with Emily telling her adversary some details about her birth mother, which happen to be true? The acting is great, but some of the dialogue gives me pause and some scenes were so dark that I couldn’t make out who was killing who.
  9. I, too, want to know how Emily ended up in the FBI or CIA as Harper’s #1. Was this all at the design of her father? I’m hoping that I’m wrong, but it looked like the dog that was thrown through the glass door was badly hurt. I sure hope that in the last scene, with Chase looking wistful as he opens the car’s trunk in the middle of nowhere, he is not about to bury one of his beloved Rottweilers. I cannot imagine why else he would be out there with something obviously in the trunk that he is not happy about. “Who let the dogs out … WOOF WOOF!” ZOE DID! That’s why she has to go on the run with him. The hit man, who evidently survived, will be after both of them now. She is no longer safe on her own. Notice how Chase didn’t need to give the “command” and that the dogs sensed their master was in trouble and went to his defense? Kinda blows the theory some had about them not attacking the agents without Chase giving them the command, in the first episode. It would be nice if there were some continuity in this show. I keep reading on here that Chase has dementia and that the daughter and other aspects of the show are part of it. Where is this coming from? The daughter clearly exists and looks Middle Eastern, so that makes sense. What I’d like to know is what kind of back story she has. Also, the vision Chase had of killing everyone at the police stop, IMO, was just him working out possible scenarios in his head for his escape. To me, this is not a sign of dementia, but rather of his training as an agent. I had a feeling that chase’s wife was not only in hiding with him because of his history, but also because she didn’t want to be discovered. This episode answered that question. I swear, I could have written these plot points. Except for Zoe. That entire scenario seems unnaturally contrived and could have been done MUCH better. You just KNOW the ex-husband and/or son are gonna play some part in this or the author would have make her character a single woman with no children. If I didn’t love the actors so much, this would have jumped the shark for me last week. Ho hum …
  10. I found it strange that Bridges character, instead of disappearing into the night after losing the tail, found it necessary to come back and attack the two agents that were tailing him. Where were his two Rottweilers while he was being attacked and apprehended? He let them out of his car, I assumed, to help him! This scene seemed out of character for someone trying to “disappear”! I mean … why attack these two agents when there will be more coming after him. Plus, why doesn’t he use the knife to cut his zip ties BEFORE crashing the agent’s car? Whole scene makes no sense! Anyone else have a problem with this? And in part two, why go to dinner with his new landlord? Couldn’t he have just told her that he didn’t want to complicate their landlord/tenant relationship? The excuse of not wanting to arouse the landlord’s suspicion regarding being seen in public was lame. That’s how he got found again, because of the police drunk driving checkpoint where he was seen on body cam. For a “seasoned” spy, he does some very dumb things IMO! Plus, the daughter situation is so obvious! Not sure if this has jumped the shark for me … 🤔 Jeff Daniels?? To get her address because she was with Chase. I noticed it immediately … keep your friends close and your enemies closer. That’s no coincidence. I absolutely HATE Amy Brenneman’s character “Zoe”. What a confused weakling. Scared of her ex, who according to her twice told story over dinner, she was clearly bored with. Can’t manage money. Sleeps with a disheveled mysterious senior she’s only known a couple of days … what a loser! The plot of this show is all over the place. A lot of philosophical dialogue which does nothing to move the story forward … more like just “filler” or “mood” or to make the episodes even longer and slower. I just wanna know what mysterious middle Eastern (Russian?) intrigue led to this series of cascading events, 30 YEARS LATER!! It had better be good! And, what does Joel Grey’s character have to do with any of it?
  11. Agreed! I remember when these “Housewives” shows were about the charity events they were planning and the women getting fitted for fashion shows, their businesses, etc. Sometime ago, it became all about cat fighting over some petty throw-away comment one housewife made to another that got blown up into epic proportions! I think it may have started with RHONYC with Kelly Bensimmon’s infamous “You’re down here (motions with her hand) and I’m up here” comment, in a vain attempt to show her supposed societal superiority over uber sharp and witty, Bethany Frankel. Must have made the ratings go up and now we have some stupid fight which permeates every season of all the different shows.
  12. Oh CRAP! That’s gonna be the feud of the century when it happens! I hope they build up to it! Those two are too similar in demeanor to get along forever. Strong personalities like theirs are bound to clash. I can’t wait! 😁😁😁
  13. I’m waiting for the main event, which I think will be Erika and Diana really going at one another. After all … Diana seems like a more worldly, Eurotrash version of Erika (rich, older husband, traveling glam squad and all). But, she scraped and clawed her way out of a war torn country and Erica, although tough, is no match for Diana. Looking forward to see someone who can really go hardball at Erica and mow her over! Enough with the Sutton/Crystal B.S. already. (Crystal is interesting only because she is Chinese and it has been interesting to learn a bit about her culture and traditions.). There are more interesting feuds to be played out here. Andy Cohen … are you listening?
  14. So … who else is sick of Sutton? For someone who is so obsessed with manners, she appears to be very rude, what with asking the same question over and over again and not allowing Crystal to answer, then breaking out into tears and leaving the table. And, it wasn’t the first time. The girl needs a “fainting couch” like women who got the “vapors” in the 1800s! Nothing interesting about her at all! Fascinated about Diana though. Wondering if there’s any truth to the high end madam rumors?
  15. At first, I thought that too! Whole episode was scrambled. At least I know now that I’m not crazy … because I see others were also confused! Thank goodness for this site! I feel like I need to watch that whole episode again just to see what I missed. But … I … just … can’t …
  16. Thank you! I can’t believe I missed that! It was all too confusing! I thought the doctor/researcher was Malik. Especially since Deja was also in medical school. So, then the point of bringing in the new character of the doctor who found a cure for Alzheimer’s was to show that Jack’s death had meaning because the boy who was saved that night found a cure for the disease that killed Rebecca? Would have been better if it had been Malik, IMO. Crap episode …
  17. I don’t recall Deja’s guy having a limp when he was younger. Did I miss something? Or is the doctor boyfriend a different guy? This season has been so disappointing, with it’s ridiculous multi episode arc about Toby and Kate breaking up! I would much rather had seen how little Jack became such a famous musician/singer/entertainer that he would fill up the Hollywood Bowl. Are they planning a spin off about little blind Jack and his rise to fame?
  18. I must have blinked and missed it. That’s too bad. I can’t stand his character and hoped we would find out they were divorced … 😂 Their marriage doesn’t make sense to me like Kate’s and Toby’s did. IMO, the Katoby divorce ruined their love story and destroyed Kate’s character. Will never understand what the writers were thinking and wondering if the actress pissed them off.
  19. In the family scenes, where was Kate’s new husband, Phillip? Did I blink and miss him?
  20. One word … !!!YES!!! Although I thought Kevin and Sophie should have gotten together at her mother’s funeral. I don’t see Kate and that scrawny Englishman working out, although he’s such a spineless milquetoast that he may just put up with all her bullshit. I don’t understand that relationship AT ALL! Toby did all he could to keep their marriage together, including giving up his dream job in San Francisco. All she ever did was berate him for everything once he moved back to L.A. Kate is just a bitch and I no longer have any good feelings for this character. I wonder why the writers saw the need to destroy her in this manner. Did the actress piss them off? Looking forward to seeing Miguel’s story next week. I hope we get to see Big Jack again. I also hope they close the series by showing Little Jack’s story about his rise to fame as an entertainer. Does Deja end up with her Harvard boyfriend? Does Randall become a senator? There is a lot to cover in only a few episodes. This easily could have gone another season ... 🙃🤔
  21. So … who else is pissed that this show has moved to Hulu … or is it Netflicks? UGH! Who does that at the beginning of the season?
  22. This episode seems strangely out of sequence to me. What happened to the attractive woman who was living near the snowed in cabin? I really thought that was being set up as a future romance for the Captain! Disappointed, as I remember the actress from Dexter and really like her.
  23. I read somewhere that this show was successful. I’m thinking it’s like a bad train wreck. It’s awful, but you just can’t look away! I have a sick feeling that there definitely is going to be a second season of this mess … otherwise, why would the last line of the podcast (which is really a call-in radio show) be “and this is ‘Sex and the City’”?? And, of course we will all watch it … just to see if it gets better! OY! Forgot to add, to those who mentioned that Even Handler doesn’t look well, he has had some health problems in his past and maybe there was a flare-up? Google it.
  24. Saw the promo. I just want to know one thing … WhereTF is Aiden? I thought he was supposed to make an appearance somewhere. Did I blink and miss it?
  25. I enjoyed the pilot! A Latin version of Dynasty/Dallas in California’s wine country with a touch of “This Is Us” thrown in with the flashbacks! I hope it is successful, in spite of perhaps too many twists thrown into the pilot. Would like to have seen some of these major plot points unfold over a few episodes.
