  1. I wasn’t insulting “bartenders everywhere” when I said that Steve Was not in Miranda’s level. It is just about Steve. Or … did everyone just conveniently FORGET how Steve was watching children’s CARTOONS loudly on T.V. while Miranda was preparing a brief for a legal case? Sorry … for all the arguments on here, I fail to see how Steve’s intellectual capability can possibly be compared to Robert’s. JMHO
  2. I think my previous comment about Miranda ending up with Robert was misunderstood. It wasn’t about “partying”. I was just thinking that, if she had been living a more “stimulating” and “intellectually fulfilling” life with Robert … instead of just sitting on the sofa and eating ice cream while watching Netflix every night with Steve, she might not have become so bored and unsatisfied. I mean … does anyone think that Steve was capable of carrying on an intellectual conversation with Miranda on her level? There was a REASON for their nightly ritual! What else could they do after work? Discuss the concepts in the books Miranda is reading? Current events? With Robert, she would have been half of a “power couple” — he’s a doctor and she’s a Harvard educated lawyer! I don’t know if they would have gotten married, but IMO, all the speculation about him leaving her for a cheerleader is moot … because he could have had one of those girls anytime, yet he wanted intellectual Miranda!
  3. Charlotte blew Trey? I don’t remember that. All I remember is that he couldn’t keep an erection!
  4. Forgot to mention in my previous comment — does anyone wonder where this would be if Miranda had, instead of Steve, ended up with hot NY Nicks sports doctor Robert? Would she still be so bored and miserable with a celebrity orthopedic doctor (as he was no doubt destined to become) or would she be living the “high life” in some Manhattan penthouse, going to A-List parties every weekend and dinners with the cognoscenti and glitterati of NYC? Her “do nothing” son would probably be at Harvard or Yale on a path to medical school like his stepdad!
  5. Getting back to Charlotte’s aversion to giving blow jobs ... I would think that the girls would have remembered this, because it was the topic of an entire episode back in the day. Maybe one of them might have mentioned something like ... “so now you do them?”, at least referring to the past episode?! This whole show is like a train wreck — horrible and sad, but just can’t look away! At least keep the girls in character and not turn them into entirely different people! Why didn’t they introduce the young neighbor sooner? Would have made for some good interactions with Carrie as “relationship mentor” or something! I’ll bet they were saving that for developing season 2 — well, they can forget about that now! And ... where is Aiden when you need him? Maybe saving him for season 2 also? Kim Cattrall was smart to stay away from this mess! Even resurrecting her character would not have saved this show.
  6. Just watched the 3rd episode and the house is finished and she has her family there and the townspeople cheering her. Was this intended to only have THREE episodes? Or, is her “adventure” in her redone home continuing now that the home is finished!
  7. She is probably living way far out into the valley because the good sections no longer have any buildable space. Probably in a "bedroom community" somewhere -- called that because people travel in heavy traffic far distances to and from work so that they can get to their fancy, new home in "shitz creek" where there is really nothing much to do. Her fancy new home is probably only worth around $800,000 because the land is worth little and she's paying for the new construction and the developers' profits. In the good parts of the valley, a tiny 50 X 150 foot lot would go for around $1.2 million and that's in the lower end of the good parts, like on or next to a major street or commercial building or something else undesirable.
  8. Garcelle is moving somewhere FAR out into the Valley where an enormous, fancy tract house is probably only around $800,000 or so because it's so far out and the land isn't worth very much, so you're just paying for the new construction, fancy finishes and the developers' profits. These areas are usually called "bedroom communities" because they are not near anything and people have to travel far to get into work and then fight traffic both ways --- just to sleep in their big, fancy houses. The expensive areas of the Valley (Encino, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Woodland Hills) are so densely built up already, that there is no room for new developments. A fixer-upper or tear down on a 50 X 150 foot lot in these areas starts at $1.2 million, just to give you an idea - and that's just for the land -- and that's not in the desirable parts.
  9. If she lives in Bel Air, which it appears that she does, her home alone is worth WAY more than $2 million (even it it needs to be remodeled and the furnishings are dated - the land it's sitting on is worth $2-3 million AT LEAST). She's also one of the premier society party givers in Los Angeles, and you can't do that without a ton of cash. Plus, look at her designer clothes and handbags. Probably a few hundred thousand in her closet alone. I just wish she would get a decent haircut, hair color and makeup. Those bangs have gotta GO!
  10. Encino is in the Valley and Bel Air is in Los Angeles. Apparently, Kyle is living in the new Encino house, which looks more like a private compound. Someone on this thread found an information article on it. Smokey Robinson used to live there. So that makes Dorit, Garcelle and Kyle in the Valley, Erika in Pasadena, Denise in Malibu and Teddi’s place looks like it is in the Hollywood Hills. The only one who seems to live in BH is Rinna.
  11. I believe Kyle is still living in the huge house that got robbed. Maybe it is in Bel Air. It didn’t look like Encino. I don’t know if Rinna lives in BH proper or in an area that has the BH postal code and name, but is really city of L.A., bordering on the Valley. We call that area the “BH Post Office” or just “the P.O.” Expensive, yes ... but still not as much as BH proper, because the PO doesn’t have the use of BH city services (fire, police, etc). It is technically in L.A. The amount of land she has looks like the P.O. to me, but might be city. Don’t really know.
  12. Dorit’s house is in Encino. That’s in the San Fernando Valley, NOT Beverly Hills. It’s where people who want a big, fancy home, but can’t afford BH or Westwood or Brentwood, end up settling. Land is much cheaper there. Still not cheap, but less. Might have been listed at $6 million, but unless it had several acres of prime flat land attached, the location doesn’t command that high of a price. Might have been listed for that much ... and not sold ... and that’s why it’s prob being leased out to wait for the market to go up. I didn’t see any super high end finishes in it either. So, now that makes two housewives living in the valley (Garcelle and Dorit), Denise in Malibu, Erica in Pasadena and don’t know where Rinna lives (looks like BH Post Office which is between BH and the Valley, but still has a BH postal code), and Kyle might be in Brentwood, don’t really know. Sutton is in Bel Air with the most hideous furniture you’ve ever seen! Worse than her clothes, hair and makeup! Looked up her place online and there’s a video tour!
  13. It’s in a tract home development in the Valley! Not high end at all. I suspected that when they showed it and then researched on the web. I don’t even think it is in Encino or Sherman Oaks, but somewhere where there is still land to be developed ... way far out! Hardly any of these women live in Beverly Hills. Denise is in Malibu. Erika Is in Pasadena. I’m not sure about Rinna and Kyle. Sutton is in Bel Air, I believe ... saw her house in a website somewhere, she needs to send her furniture back to the 1980s where it all belongs. Even worse than her clothing! With all that $$$ and such horrible taste. She needs a stylist AND a decorator!
  14. Eh ... he lives from woman to woman. Married Denise right after divorcing Nicolette Sheridan. WTF does he do for a living anyway? Some kind of airy-fairy pseudo-medical self-help energy healing? Like those BS treatments he was giving Denise after her hernia surgery? Seems to me that he (of the large and active ... Er ... “member”) is a kept man, supported by horny women! Cross between a nanny and a boy toy.
  15. Me too! And, boy will she be FUN to watch! I suspect she and Kyle will end up in competition for fashion, parties, story lines, etc. Because Kyle is the only one on the show who has the money to keep up with her. Sutton doesn’t seem like the type to be second banana. She reminds me of an even snootier LVP ( who I absolutely DETESTED!). Sutton definitely needs a stylist because it is so sad to see someone with so much money put herself together so badly. Oh ... the HAIR ... those BANGS ... the MAKEUP ... the badly fitted clothes showing off her weird body shape ... UGH! And, I saw a tour of her home online and she’s got 80s sofas that look like they were ordered at Sears and the rest of the furnishings need to be sent to some Arab country where they’re still in style! With all that money ... such a pity ...
  16. Aaron went straight from one D-list out of work actress (Nicolette Sheridan) to another!
  17. That is the Nurse Jamie facial wand that costs close to $100 and does nothing, but she has a bunch of celebrities shilling for her, so it’s a big seller. She probably sent one to Kyle in a promo package.
  18. I found this episode very confusing, but the one thing I am gleaning from the comments here is that others feel the same way I do about Ben’s wife. I don’t have a problem with her acting, but feel she was grossly miscast. The other actors have a spark and lots of screen charisma, while she just doesn’t. Even the actor playing her boyfriend was great! Plus, the writers haven’t given her much to work with. Her character is ... well ... just plain boring. I mean ... this episode could have gone on without her just fine. It’s like she only exists to take care of her son. And, to carry this baby of questionable etiology. She has no other purpose in this show. I would love to see a relationship developing between Ben and that darling and charismatic Indian MD/researcher. So disappointed about TJ. Loved his character and his growing relationship with the daughter. He died a hero. Hope to see him appear again somewhere down the line. And, WTF is going on with Jared and the police captain? What are they hiding?
  19. I’m a bit late to the party here, because I just watched it on demand, but I thought Kevin ending up in bed with Madison was a douch-y thing to do, harkening back to the old Kevin getting instant gratification when he’s down, always finding a willing participant, with no concern for whomever he hurts when it’s over. After all those deep, touching scenes with Sophie, he goes and screws the first girl he comes in contact with?? And, right after she tells him she just got dumped? Talk about a new low ... what a narcissist! Especially after that “hall pass” incident! UGH! He just proved here that he STILL doesn’t deserve Sophie and isn’t ready for her ... no matter what he said at her mother’s gravesite. Maybe someday he will earn that emerald ring ... but not yet ...
  20. Glad to see that I’m not the only one who is confused as hell with this show. It appears that it is losing viewers, if this board is any indication. First couple episodes had over 35 comments ... this last episode, only 8. Still don’t know where the guy from the 70s is now, or why his story is important to this premise, or what happened to him. At this point, I hardly care!
  21. So WTF was that all about? Wasted half the season on Kevin and the soldier girl... for what? They didn’t give any hints to make me “invest” in her character. I had a feeling she might a red herring, because they didn’t show flash forwards into the future like they usually do with the characters. Maybe they will “end cap” something about her in the season finale to bring her back in again? In fact, that’s what makes (or made) this show so special. We would get “invested” in a character because we were given a glimpse into the character’s past as well as their future with this family. Meh ... still SO disappointed in this season. It’s been downhill ever since the premiere. Nothing else interests me in their time slot or this would have jumped the shark after the first episode this season.
  22. Just binge watched the first 3 episodes. Was interested because I happened to see online that Heather is now practically engaged to Tarek El Moussa from Flip or Flop. He just bought her a white Ferrari for her birthday. Now, she’s traded in her hockey boy and is in luurve with Tarek! She seems like a real bimbo. I doubt she or any of the other blonde airheads can actually write up a real estate contract to protect their clients. The only one who appears to have a brain is the pregnant foreign girl ... with the husband in Florida ... Maya? I’m sure these other girls are like hostesses who merely do the showings and the two guys who own the place do all the contracts and negotiations. I used to sell RE in the same areas where these girls work and it was the same 25 years ago with backstabbing and even stealing names off open house sign in sheets to poach clients! Nothing new here, except the prices. All the major players back then also had pretty assistants and associates that held RE licenses (it’s a pretty easy test) who showed the properties and then brought in their bosses to close the deals. Not just women. Lots of hot gay male assistants too! The clients were hitting on everyone! It was how a lot of young agents got their start in high end real estate. I know ... because I was one of them. Unless you were someone’s kid or girlfriend, it was the only way to break into that market!
  23. Anyone else getting bored with this show! I’m still trying to figure out what’s happening with the guy from the opening. We’ve seen his captor (bad ass 60 year old woman) in present day, but where is he? Or, did they already show him in his 60s and I blinked and missed it? And, how did all of these diverse people become sleeper agents in the first place? We’re they in the military at some point? Where they abducted and brainwashed? Was some sort of chip implanted in them? And ... when did this happen? These new characters weren’t even BORN yet in the 1970s when this program was instituted. I haven’t read any of the Bourne novels, but I did see most of the movies and I still don’t understand this. The critics are having a field day ripping this show apart. Violence with little story or explanation, they say ... and I must agree with them!
  24. Another boring episode. Four in and I’m still not invested and this was my favorite show. Disjointed scenes that were too short to really say anything. WAY too much time spent on the smelly dance space. I got the point, but they didn’t need to spend so much time on dead opossums to show that Beth’s mom now knows that Randall is “strong”. OY! Only watching at this point because there’s nothing else on in the time slot. Praying it gets better, but not holding up much hope. My favorite show is now ruined. Where’s the back and forth flash forward (that I’ve grown to love) for all the new characters they spent the ENTIRE premiere episode introducing? I wanna see how “feeling” and smelling the beach figures into little blind Jack’s life as a child. I wanna see the future of Kevin with the war vet and his uncle. This has turned into just an average show with things unfolding as they do on every other show on TV. #disappointedAF
