  1. No, I thought it looked pretty amateurish, like a string art kit from the 60s. And even if anyone wanted an yarn outlined state, who would want to pay shipping from Spain to the US? I knew they wouldn't take the second apartment with the balcony because it was obviously currently occupied, but when she complained about the bedroom with no natural light I wanted to scream at the TV, "Use the DARK room for sleeping and the brighter one for your tacky crafts!" Imagine my surprise when they did exactly that, but with the first apartment, the one without Tony's coveted balcony (which I was ready to push him off by the end!)
  2. I didn't see the episode last night, but was the Hipster Girl obsessed with the house having a "chandy"?
  3. My daughter thought the bride was on old picture Barbra Streisand!
  4. Chicken farmers? Well, now it all makes sense. Of course, where else would you go for the gown for your "Chicken Farm" themed wedding but Kleinfeld's! But even if this dress and headpiece monstrosity were meant as a joke, somebody spent an awful lot of time creating them.
  5. I posted the picture on Facebook after seeing the episode featuring it four years ago. Today it came up as my "Memories on Facebook" from July 11, 2012. I don't remember any details of the episode, but I'm pretty sure the dress was a Pnina (okay, safe bet!) the girl might have been Greek and that's her opinionated Dad in the background ready to shell out whatever it takes to make his little princess happy. I recognize Randy, but not the consultant. Here's the only link that I have to the photo, although it doesn't help to prove or disprove its veracity: https://scontent.fewr1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/320365_10151020070504629_949536286_n.jpg?oh=e7aee9d253027e4868f5a57993a8b74b&oe=5827C594
  6. I came across this photo from an old episode. Could somebody refresh my memory about this bride/dress story?
  7. Just caught the end of the rerun of the "adventurous" couple moving to Grand Cayman who end up buying a sailboat. (suuuuure...) When I first saw their realtor, I thought I had turned on Bravo by mistake and was watching Theresa Guidice on "The Real Housewives of America."
  8. I was distracted by how she dwarfed her boyfriend!
  9. The Detroit range hood guy was the one who also wanted the place to have a "story" and he kept saying he wanted it to have "spirit." I hope that a poltergeist doesn't take that as an invitation to haunt the firehouse condo.
  10. I remember a big discussion of Netherlands' Wife HBV, coupled with "up talk" when the episode first aired.
  11. IKR! How many times did she mention the grand prom-worthy staircase, an event probably at least sixteen years in the future! I must admit the first time I toured my current house and saw the foyer and stairs I mentally started decorating it for Christmas but at least that's a yearly event. At this point, I have now decorated it for 35 Christmases as well as taken a handful of prom pics. I can also imagine Triplet Mom as already dreaming of the day when her daughters pledge her college sorority.
  12. To me, the dress Shay put on the Surprise Proposal girl was so plain it looked like a strapless full length slip that you'd wear under the real gown!
  13. Wouldn't that mean all the kids would always have to be together in the same room or do these moms REALLY have the old cliche "eyes in the back of their heads?" Maybe the homes should be equipped with CC surveillance cameras in each room so Mom could watch everyone from the comfort of her granite topped computer station.
  14. The third house exactly fit the bill-single family-under budget and fussy Nutella liked it, but her mother nixed the idea because she claimed she REALLY wanted a rental property to help with expenses. Maybe she's planning to apply to "Income Property" as a crossover episode.
  15. I got the feeling Nutella (or whatever the heck the daughter's name was) isn't going to be any help when it comes to upkeep or repairs. I didn't understand why they didn't both plan to move upstairs to the nicer unit and rent out the less updated one, fixing it up over time as the rental income came in. The downstairs unit was certainly livable and I don't think tenants would be very fussy about finishes, etc. so the rent charged would reflect that. Later on they could move downstairs once they got things updated to their standards. I was also amazed at the price of housing in Springfield MA!
  16. I found Shawn and Astrid in Florida pretty insufferable. He just came across as a real know-it-all (and I was distracted by his red under eye "bags".) Her emphatic "We've worked hard and we're going to get what we want" didn't seem to jibe with their ($ 275K?) budget. But what else is new...
  17. Yes, the single family home was definitely described as being in "Maryland" but no town was given.
  18. I'm willing to bet that TLC picks up the tab for the Hawaii trip. I always suspected the Duggars traveled on the network's "dime" (multiple vacations including a filmed European honeymoon) and now that their filming budget has been cut the Browns' Adventure in Paradise is now in the spotlight.
  19. I thought the black and white dress and "fascinator" looked more appropriate for a wedding GUEST than the bride! And it was not figure flattering at all.
  20. These episodes all blur in my mind, but I believe they left the appointment without a dress since Natalie's mom needed to "sleep on" the decision. I was disappointed that there was no follow up voice-over as to the final outcome. ITA. There was nothing watchable about this attention seeking, over the top Kardashian wanna-be, (right down to the vocal fry!). I thought maybe Bridezillas was back on.
  21. The way Brittany went on and on about her big "entrance" (I think that and freakin' were tied for the most overused words in the episode) I certainly expected something more original than a horse and carriage! Oh wait, it was TWO horses, or as she referred to them while acting like a total nut case, "horsies." I take it back. THAT'S an entrance!
  22. I really don't think Matthew has to go so far as to join a church with a Christian Rock group to impress Paige. She lives right across the street, he can see her any time and ply her with his father's beer.
  23. Since we've jumped ahead 7 months in the story line, I wonder if Philip was ever allowed to contact Martha's parents as Gabriel promised?
  24. Oh god, I think Victor's name was really Eeyore! So negative about everything!
