The key word in your post is retirement. Your dad retired from the military like I did. I get a check. your dad gets a check. However, from what we see on the show Eric is more like my son and brother. They did an enlistment or two and got out. That means no money benefits. They get va loans and such but no rgular check. My brother did 4 years, my son 6. They dont even get an ID or medical..

I put my childs father on the BC. Eventually, his dad had an Aortic dissection and was granted SSDI. His son also got a monthly check without us doing anything but show SS the Birth certificate. My son was born in 1995 though, so a while ago. Aortic dissection was in 2007

All I had to do was put the father’s name on the birth certificate. I guess it could have been an issue if he tried to deny paternity

i have friends that do that. They are US\ UK citizens. They come in and out with either one. But they use the one from the country they are entering. They use their Uk passport at British immigration and USA passport at American immigration. You can have 2 passports
