  1. I had chicken pox twice. So did my sister. I also had shingles
  2. Weren't things supposed to turn in Brandi's favor starting in Part 2? Not so much, eh?
  3. I hope your sister does well. I feel the same way about my niece who is 2 years into recovery. She acts quite different from Kim who speaks more like my niece did when she first got to rehab. Denial, take no responsibility, blame everyone else. This is not the behavior of one who is in recovery
  4. That video. Jill Looks beautiful . She sounds happy. She also sounds like she has more energy than her husband.
  5. I hope they keep having boys so that we never see any D-Slaves
  6. I am pathetic. I am waiting for 2 Real Housewives tonight. It's like Christmas. I even have wine ready for 8 PM. ETA, After reading this thread, I see I am not alone.
  7. Some of the things in that pic seem so calculated. I mean not their joy and that beautiful baby, but the IDF shirt and the name Isreal just seem so part of an agenda to me.
  8. That statement has me worried. They need to at least see a doctor at this point
  9. He's probably taking about the holy Dillard baby.
  10. I think she has had the baby but they are keeping it quiet for a day or so. I predict an announcement in the next 24 hours. Maybe on tomorrow's show.
  11. Well of course they would be easy to find if you seek them out, but day to day contact may not happen. I'm sure you can find people of any race , culture or creed in NYC. But even being born here does not mean you will be encultured in the same way. I'm not saying you are wrong in your interpretation, JFTR. You may be right. Or it may be more compliicated that it seems. As a student of Anthropology, I just find this topic interesting and relevent so I am into exploring all possibilities
  12. Enculturation is an important part of who were are as people. Culture is probably more important than ethnicity. The two are often mutually exclusive. If she feels more thouroughly encultured as truly American , than being in a relationship that feels like she has one foot in American Culture and one in Indian culture may not be comfortable for her. I would be interested to see how she would feel if she met another Indian who was fully enculturized as an American. Or maybe she has been brought up encultured in both , but feels more comforable in one. I really don't think this is about ethnicity , but culture.
  13. I am ashamed to admit that when I was a teen, I was in a car with a bunch of friends. Another car pulled up beside us and it was a family of 4 overweight people. I said through my window , where they could hear me "you must be the Fat Family", and then we drove off. I am 44 now and I have thought about it, with shame, many times over the years. That is NOT who I am. I deeply regret it and I can assure you it is certainly not representitive of how I really feel. I would take it back if I could. I was a stupid , obnoxious teen showing off for my friends. I'm so glad it wasn't on tape. If those a decent girls, they too will regret this.
  14. Haha, it's like the RHOBH forum all over again for you. I mostly agree with you but for me the greatness still so heavily outweighs the bad. I was shocked at the way Phillip is handling Martha.
  15. War Games had though, and that scared the crap out of my generation. ETA, that came out in June of 83. I'm not sure what month this is supposed to be.
  16. Haha. I watched Guiding Light. I was trying to figure out what soap it was.
  17. That was supposed to say 24 hours. Don't know where my 2 went. I agree about leaving her alone. I half expected them to park down the street and watch the house
  18. I thought she planned to tell him her parents were spies ,but couldn't go through with it
  19. I think the calm is shock. Those are not the same thing. It has been less than 24 hours at this point. She is digesting the info before taking any action. I was born in 1970. I wasn't a fan of the USSR, but I wasn't terrified of Russians. I was actually kind of fascinated by them.
  20. If only Pa were here to take her to a cabin in the woods and rid her of her addiction. Brandy makes Nellie Oleson look like a nice girl
  21. Sorry. I meant both Richards sisters. I should have clarified. Sean Penn did have a non-speaking part, which I only recently discovered. liefs hair would have worked well with Pa's though
  22. And I loved both of them on Little House. ETA, I mean the sisters Richards.
  23. As someone who has a lot of British friends and who spends a lot of time in the Uk, you are right. It took me a while to get used to just how freely that word is used over there along with twat, which although not as bad as the c word here, is just not used in daily conversation.. But then you guys can to magical and wonderous things with profanity of the likes that I have never seen. I have also had friends use the word C**Ted as a verb.
  24. Jim Bob annoys me on so many levels, but I believe he genuinely loves his kids and tries to be a good dad. I don't think there is anything inappropriate going on, you know, outside of all of the obvious things.
  25. So glad to see George Ezra. Budapest is my favorite song right now. It was all over the radio when I was in Europe last fall. The regular version is awesome. Give it a listen.
