  1. Heh. I turned on CBC Toronto just now - they’re playing some cheesy Christmas movie starring Donny Boaz 🤣
  2. Just started this episode, and I miss Claire Foy so much! OC is much less stiff in the role this season, but damn if Claire wasn’t an almost impossible act to follow.
  3. I liked the part when Margaret and Elizabeth were having lunch and M rang E’s bell, and she said, “What are you doing?! That’s my button!” 😄
  4. I’m not shocked by this episode, because it wasn’t so long ago that parents of developmentally disabled children were advised to put their kids in institutions and basically forget their existence.
  5. I mean, look at the children on Downton Abbey, even though that took place 60 years before the current season - those kids got to see their parents for maybe an hour or so before teatime, and the nannies looked after everything else concerning child-raising. And the Crawleys were only an earl and a lady!
  6. Diana’s step-grandmother, I believe, was a famous romance novelist named Barbara Cartland.
  7. Nope, not just you 😉 Katee frakkin Sackhoff! I haven’t yet seen the Clone Wars or Rebels, so I didn’t know that she had already played Bo-Katan. What a great surprise to see her. Now I’ll definitely have to watch those series.
  8. When I heard about Alex this morning, I cried like I haven’t cried since my dad died in July. We watch Jeopardy six times a week in my house, and my 19-year-old autistic son has been a huge fan of Jeopardy since he was a toddler. We even got him an Alex Trebek Pop last year for Christmas (those pop culture toys by Funko). I told him this afternoon that Alex died, and he was sad...I’m really sad about it and feel like I could cry even now 😢
  9. I wondered how comfortable Mando would have been, lying down in his rack fully armored 😄
  10. Ice spiders 😳😳😳 Peyton Reed also directed Bring It On, if memory serves. The x-Wing pilots were played by Dave Filoni and Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, who plays Appa on Kim’s Convenience (CBC in Canada, and I think it’s on Netflix too) and is a huge Star Wars fan and cosplayer!
  11. I wrote this almost four years ago. Please, please make things right tomorrow 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
  12. Pip Torrens (Tommy Lascelles) is in a new series called Roadkill, on Masterpiece. He plays a newspaper editor. I didn’t recognize him at first because he’s bald and clean-shaven, but then I heard his voice and knew it was him. Roadkill also stars Hugh Laurie and Iain de Caestecker (Agent Fitz on Agents of SHIELD).
  13. Don’t know if this is a UO, but I’m rewatching the series on CBC in Canada and I’m reminded of how unlikable I found Daisy. She always had a face like a wet week and was never happy with anything.
  14. I see Jason Brooks was one of the leads. He was on DOOL back in the day - I think he and Melissa Reeves were having an affair and her husband Scott Reeves (Ryan from Y&R) caught them in flagrante delicto, and because of it she left the show and broke her contract.
  15. Stephen Graham has a major role in Tom Hanks’ new movie Greyhound, about military convoys in the North Atlantic in WWII. He does an excellent New York (or possibly Boston) accent, to my untrained ear anyway!
  16. So is she a recast Avery? Or a completely new sister? (I always liked Avery)
  17. Ruth Bader Ginsburg has died. This doesn’t bode well for the US Supreme Court, does it?
  18. I’m rewatching the series for the third time, and I just finished the episode where the guy hid in the car trunk/boot when they were going on holiday. I recently read a book about the Troubles and a few of the more well-known members of the IRA (Gerry Adams, Brendan Hughes, Dolours and Maria Price), and because of this book, I now understand what a “Provo” and a “tout” are!
  19. Fun fact: the Tara character was played by Linda Thorson, a Canadian actress who’s been in a crap-ton of stuff since the Avengers, and she also made a guest appearance on Schitt’s Creek! She played an acting rival of Moira’s who turned out to be making tons of money appearing at fan conventions 😄 I also found out that “Ta-ra-ra Boom-de-ay” is actually a vaudeville song that’s over 100 years old...and somehow I have known the tune since I was a child 🤔 I don’t want to “like” this....please stay safe! 😢 I was, in fact, too young to watch the Avengers, as it ended the year before I was born 😄
  20. Wow, I remember that Ta-ra-ra line from my childhood, but I never knew where it was from! I think I was just a little too young to watch The Avengers...I may have seen the New Avengers on occasion. I was too busy having a four-year-old’s crush on Randy Mantooth in Emergency! 😄
  21. Oh my god, Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther) has died of colon cancer. He was only 43 😭😭😭
  22. Scary movies: The Changeling The Haunting (original) Jacob’s Ladder Poltergeist
