  1. I think Jua-a-a-nita was before Thelma Lou came along.
  2. I saw the one last night where Khan and Minh try to get back to their Laotian roots. Khan starts dressing as a Laotian villager, gets rid of all the furniture, etc. I cracked up when Connie was practicing her violin, saw her Dad come in, and quickly pick up some ancient Laotian guitar to play instead. And Minh lying on the floor mat, turning from Laotian language movie to "Friends" after Khan leaves the room. The writers on this show were great!
  3. Raja, Manila, Raven....IMO no queen has ever topped Raja's impeccable fashion. Evah.
  4. I hope so; would love to see a new episode with Michael Imperioli! He was so calm and cool during all his challenges and totally deserved to win IMO.
  5. Exactly what I thought. If that guy was on the outside he would never look at her twice. And it's come out fairly recently I think that yes, he DID have other "supporters". Typical con scam.
  6. Anyone see the episode(couple years old) with Annika and Josh Powell? This crazy woman dragged her kids all over the state to be close to her man. Didn't want him taking any prison job because it would "interrupt their family time". Wanted her kids to be adopted by said murderer and call him "Dad". And to put the cherry on the ice cream, she talked about their "sexy time" over the phone. Absolutely disgusting. I have seen one or two women on this series that didn't seem so nuts, but almost all of them have some excuse for the guy; most of them put money on the boo's books and then talk about having to scrimp and save.
  7. My sentiments exactly......loving the lessons. lol at all the comments about the cheftestants; how on earth do people get to be adults without knowing anything about food preparation??
  8. Tom Selleck.......and I could NEVER get on board with the idea that Monica dumped a handsome doctor because he wasn't all SQUEE about having children. Would not happen in real life.
  9. Bwah! My family rolled out this way on both Christmas morning (because you know, Christmas Eve) AND the day after Christmas.
  10. Also disappointed in the outcome, but I have to admit, Erin's gingerbread presentation was beautiful! That said, I wasn't especially pulling for anyone in particular.....Bill had great baked treats, Erin had the tea party, and I just liked Naylet. I enjoyed this series, just wish we could find some of the recipes.
  11. I don't get why Terra went home and Erin stayed! Again, she gets a pass.
  12. Does anyone remember the episode about Mary Hill, in Orlando? She was the woman driving her daughter and two neighbor children somewhere; she crashed and the accident killed both her daughter and one of the neighbor children. It's interesting to me especially because I was in the hospital with Mary after the accident. She told us that the accident was due to the fact that she was on a lot of prescription drugs. She was later charged and convicted of the two deaths; in court her attorney claimed that her brakes malfunctioned. I knew what she had said immediately after the accident and there was NO mention of brake failure. I wrote to the Mom of the girl killed and told her what Mary had said after the accident; I wished I had known about the trial while it was going on.
  13. I thought David should have stayed and Naylet (?) eliminated. Her cake looked like something my grandson designed out of Play dough!
  14. Also getting tired of Erin's cutesy-poo ways! Anyone know if these recipes are out there somewhere? Pretty much everything they've baked looks like something I would welcome to any table....
  15. Loved the Thanksgiving episodes, and especially enjoyed seeing the judges cook! I would have eaten any one of the dishes presented.....except maybe Maneet's super-sweet appetizer.
  16. lol, you're right! She has the same giggly demeanor! When will this be on again, is Sunday the regular night? I'm also disappointed that we won't get to see what Stephanie could have done with some holiday cakes.
  17. I really enjoyed the show. Bitter chocolate ginger snaps?? Yes please! Giving me ideas for my own holiday baking for sure.
  18. Love this guy and who knew he could cook?? He is such the polar opposite of his "Sopranos" character, makes him that much more interesting.
  19. No subsequent owner of any hotel on this show can EVER top "Sister Crybaby", my new favorite nickname.
  20. Lol, I thought she had an odd looking face! I also think she's had some lip injections, she and her younger sister looked nothing alike.
  21. Loved it, and the rooms they showed after the makeover looked great too! Even my 82 year old Mom was asking about the lack of blacklighting the bed linens this episode, lol.
  22. Gordon in a Speedo! The scenery was gorgeous, the lodge could be gorgeous too. I also was not impressed with big stripes in the lobby after the reveal, but the furniture in the lobby looked nice. I want to see how Gordon revamped the kitchen; not enough explanation of that. The Butt-hut, really? Is pot legal in Oregon? I also caught a reference to "tweaking" by one of the brothers, a phrase used to refer to meth use I believe. What was that about?
  23. I could not understand WHY the staff stayed on working there. The owner walking around dripping in jewelry, having a "car park" outside, just no. Not letting the chef create his own menu? I hope all these people now have jobs where they are fairly paid for their work. Ginger? Get out while you still can.
  24. My favorite actor on this show was undoubtedly Bruce Dern! Loved his portrayal of the Dad who really just doesn't give a shit.
  25. So the winner here is now head Chef at Gordon Ramsay's Bar and Grill in Caesar's Palace? My family and I ate there in April, had really looked forward to it. And I have to say, the best thing about that meal was the server. The food was absolutely nothing special at all. Very disappointing.
