  1. She is still listed in their online directory as an assistant professor: https://education.jhu.edu/directory/wendy-osefo-phd/
  2. This is why I like Killer Queen. I think Killer Queen has higher emotional intelligence because they are a doctor out of drag.
  3. I wonder if the rights deals are different. RuPaul's Drag Race, RuPaul's Drag Race UK, RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under all have RuPaul on the show. Drag Race Thailand, Drag Race Espana, and Canada's Drag Race do not. It could all be about the money. My guess, we will not see RuPaul on Drag Race Italia, coming in November. Dunno.
  4. Amy may have a type, and I suspect it is a lot like her father. We have seen several times on the show that Amy's father has been highly critical of Matt in a passive aggressive way. Matt was that way with Amy and Chris has a bit of that going on. It hits an emotional button with her. With Matt, we saw the anger, with Chris we see the hurt. It is why they say we often marry our father. It saddens me when Amy says she hopes this second marriage will last.
  5. Do you think the Johnstons watch the episodes? And if they do, did Trent understand that Amber overreacted when talking with Anna about moving out? That Anna was anxious, knowing that her mother was treating her differently from Liz? And do you think they were both surprised at just how much Liz and the other kids want to move out? It isn't because they want to be independent, they want to get away from their parents. If they have open minds they should be thinking about what they can do to change their parenting styles. No more Amber burdening Jonah, then Elizabeth with Anna sucks stories--I bet Amber is trying to share those with Alex now. I do think after Ronnie's visit Trent started to understand why Jonah is so upset and wants recognition for what he is doing. Amber still had that sucking on a lemon face.
  6. That's too bad, I really liked her and JBC. I really liked the Canada judges.
  7. I will say I loved UK with Lawrence Chaney, Bimini Bon-Boulash, Ellie Diamond and Tayce. And Canada was fun! Drag Race Espana has been fun too. Holland, Down Under and Season 13 have all mostly disappointed.
  8. 108 degrees yesterday, already up to 109 today with a forecast of 114. And this old Portland house is 87 degrees inside. My fans are working nonstop. I know I can't get central air now--they are booking for September, but I will get it this fall. I hope this weather isn't our new normal.
  9. This weekend is going to be rough. Saturday hits 106, Sunday is 111 and Monday is 108 degrees. I don't have air condition here in Portland. Most of the older houses don't. This will be a record breaking weekend :( I am just hoping that I don't lose power.
  10. Q1 auto sales are up, and that's great when you consider that covid didn't close us down until late March. With pent up demand there should be money to be made. According to LinkedIn Jonah is still there--he's been there for 5 months. I don't necessarily believe all LinkedIn profiles but the Johnston kids do seem to keep their social media up to date.
  11. Didn't RuPaul mention their husband is from Perth? Perhaps they wanted to spend some time with family. The 6 hour flight between Auckland and Perth is much shorter than flying from Douglas, Wyoming to Perth.
  12. Does it bother anyone else that they stole the name of this episode from Superior Donuts? It was season 2, episode 8.
  13. This was, without a doubt, the right outcome. Kita Mean is talented and humble. She shoots for the stars and is kind. She is everything that RuPaul could have chosen as the winner of Down Under. Well done!
  14. Agreed! And it is inappropriate to ask your adult children for that type of a promise. Trent and Amber married young, by the time they were 21 they already had a child. Their experience is not the norm now. The average person in Georgia marries for the first time between 26-28 years of age. It is naive to think that your children will not have had a sexual relationship at that age. I do understand saying you can't sleep with an unmarried/not serious partner in the parent's home, but even that seems unlikely to happen in your late 20s. Why set your children up to disappoint you?
  15. It was an LPA convention. And Amber and another woman were chatting with Matt. They were talking adoption (would have been when they were planning to adopt Alex) and she was talking about how expensive adoption is.
  16. I just saw Amber on Little People Big World, Season 2, Episode 15: A Whole Lotta Little. It aired on December 2006 and 7 Little Johnstons premiered 9 years later.
  17. Anyone else think that MJ and Reza are behinds the spoof texts?
  18. Lowlights: Emma flipping off Amber Amber telling Trent it would cost him a lot to walk away Leaf blowing the lanterns And who only eats frozen Chinese food?
  19. No surprise. I have heard before that in the case of a tie it always goes Tom's way. I think he continues to have the deciding voice in the decisions. And I am okay with that because he is the head judge.
  20. Next to the time tracker is the closed-captioning button, when you click on it you get to choose the language you want.
  21. Yes, Portland is a special place. There are many neighborhoods with houses that are 100 years old. Each has character, all are loved. The tree canopy is 30% in residential areas, so you feel how green it is. It is impossible to kills roses, they are like weeds here. The Japanese Garden is in the city, so is Forest Park. There are streets with great boutique shopping and the food scene is stellar. I have lived in Germany, England, MA, MI, NJ, NY, OH and Oregon. Other than my years on Cape Cod I have never felt so at home. Yes, there is homelessness and protests and other big city problems, but Portland can captivate you. The whole Pacific Northwest is magical. I came here a dozen years ago and I don't plan on leaving.
  22. Yes, I am in the US and I watch with subtitles on WOW.
  23. A few thoughts.... I'm not sure Amber is jealous of Anna's beauty, but I think she resents that the kids have it easier than she had it growing up and the kids don't express enough gratitude for all the material goods that TLC dollars have provided for the family. I think she might think the money is the same as kindness, support and recognition. It was ridiculous that Trent and Amber were going to hide the keys. If the car titles are in Trent/Amber's names, take the keys, don't hide them. If not, add in a housekeeping fee to the rent and utilities their three oldest kids pay. What do you think Amber and Trent will do when they hear about Emma and Alex controlling their inner rage? Will they send them away to military school?
  24. I think that Eboni is a great addition to the cast. She is smart and beautiful. She handles Luann, Sonja and Ramona well and she doesn't get sloppy drunk. I am interested in learning more about her life in NY. And I wish they had brought Eboni in as Luann's friend as I could do without all of the scenes with Leah.
