  1. You can pick up a Mars bar at Cost Plus World Market for $1.49 a bar. Bed, Bath, & Beyond also has them in their food section (Bed, Bath & Beyond owns World Market).
  2. There was a witness from then who said she heard someone calling for help from the water, but these investigators dismiss her as being mistaken. But the witnesses to the arguing, wasn't that the night before Natalie Wood died? Natalie Wood died from drowning. As far as I can tell, the suggestion is that Robert Wagner pushed her into the water deliberately. I also wonder about Natalie Wood pouring her heart out to Dennis Davern. Sounds dubious. I agree.
  3. Maisie's mother preceded her in death. Here is Maisie's obituary.
  4. Randy did a commercial voiceover about someone's Fifty Shades Freed photo shoot and where to see it. Anyone remember what exactly he said? I think Antonella did mention at least once that Courtney couldn't choose anything that took six months to get. It was pretty obvious that Courtney was only playing dress-up.
  5. No, we don't know what happened to the first wife other than she supposedly left the father. Candace Clothier, the other victim, turned out not to be connected to this case. I thought about that possibility, too. I can't find any information about the first wife aside from the brief mention on the show.
  6. There was originally a sixth mom/daughter pair (Carrington and Lisa Durham), but they were dropped for reasons we can only guess at right now (see posts above).
  7. Anthony Shore, who was the subject of an Evil Lives Here episode, was executed yesterday by the state of Texas. The episode was told from the perspective of his daughter, Tiffany.
  8. Assuming that this Carrington Durham is the same one easily found on the Internet, she may have lied about her age, and is really 19 not 16. Maybe she was found out when they checked her social media.
  9. It was on Unusual Suspects: Deadly Intent. The victim's name was Rayna Rison. And, yes, it was unbelievable that the sister would stay with that guy. And he went to see the poor girl the very moment his probation ended!
  10. Some viewers seem to think Barba accidentally blew the case, but I (and some of you agree) really thought the show was telling us he did it on purpose. One thing that bugged me was that the jurors were not wearing their badges in the elevator. I served on a jury and the jurors were instructed to wear their badges all the time while in the building. Of course, Barba would have recognized them anyhow, but it still bugged me.
  11. Judy Haim is Israeli by birth. If you listen to her interviews, you can hear a slight accent.
  12. If you want, you can read the complete episode at the official website. There's also a Dateline episode about the case you can watch here.
  13. Charity says Paris should be in a mental institution getting help, but she removed him from a facility not too long before the murder. She says she doesn't think anything would have been different, but maybe it would have been. She failed her children. The grandmother's story was a tad confusing. She said the business had always been in her name. If so, then what sort of motive would she have for putting a hit on her husband shortly after she remarried him? I wish they'd gone into more detail about it. Also, it seems that the late Mr. Bennett had also been married to Kyla Bennett's sister at one time. I don't think the documentary mentioned that Paris sexually assaulted Ella. An article mentioned this: "He is serving a 40-year sentence, the maximum penalty in Texas for a juvenile for murder, and will not be eligible for parole until 2027." Also, right after the murder he talked with a friend for several minutes on the phone before calling 911. Apparently, his original plan after the murder was to wait for his mother to return home and then kill her. That's probably why Charity gets all that advice about changing her identity. More:
  14. If you want to know now... I assume they may reveal more about what led up to the incident next week. I wish they would do one story per episode rather than setting each story up as a "to be continued". I have no patience and I look stuff up, inadvertently discovering likely subjects of future episodes.
  15. I saw a few copies of Going Clear at Dollar Tree yesterday. Anyone interested in owning a copy might want to check their local stores.
  16. The company predates Zodiac. The symbols they were talking about were created in the 1970s at the company.
  17. Yeah, that's about H.H. Holmes. There's a movie being developed based on the book The Devil in the White City. Leonardo DiCaprio is supposed to play Holmes.
  18. I've been watching. I just don't have much to say, but I agree about the crystal cake. I was surprised as well that Brazil had a version of Next Great Baker. It's called Batalha dos Confeiteiros and it seems like it follows the original recipe. And there's also a version called El desafío de Buddy: Latinoamérica or Next Great Baker: Latin America.
  19. Something left out of this latest Dead Silent episode is that Glendon Gouker's wife Michelle is also his sister.
  20. I thought the husband might be the prowler. He wasn't living at the house anymore.
  21. This seems to be inspired by the real-life story of serial rapist Marc O'Leary. 48 Hours did an episode on the case. He also had a victim who wasn't believed.
  22. He died of lung cancer three months after being diagnosed.
