  1. Coming next season on ABC, "Schitt's-ish"
  2. yes, Maureen will make some scratches on a note pad outlining a plan, John will say something along the lines of "but that's dangerous!" and all will be well. 😉
  3. I don't believe so yet. Last time I checked Hulu they still only had through Season 2. I imagine they'll get it eventually once a certain amount of time passes. I guess Lifetime punted? Shame.
  4. yeah, this bugs me too. I know there is manipulation going on here, the question is how much?
  5. This. All the build up and at the end there was 0 interaction between the 2 of them ?? C'mon!!! upon further thought, I fear they left this out because they are planning that prequel about the origins of NK.
  6. yep. as others said they telegraphed that Arya was going to be the one to take down NK via Melisandre's 30 second stare down near the beginning and their exchange over eye color in the room with The Hound. But how Arya managed to get out of the castle and by the entire horde without any explanation, I too was expecting some use of faces, they apparently thew up their hands about and hope we didn't care because... Arya!!! And sorry, stealth doesn't explain it. Disappointing. And no real interaction between Bran and NK after all this? What the heck? I fear GoT has succumbed to ye old chestnut of CGI over story in this last season. 🙄 Go back and watch some of their early seasons before the computer imagery was so prevalent to see what I mean.
  7. OMG. Millennials think everything can be solved by glass touch screens and software. 😋
  8. Sonya Cassidy. yeah, she was good in Humans too. ( another English actor taking an American's job! Where's Trump's tweet about that!! kidding! ;) ) didn't think I'd like this show, but it's definitely growing on me. for some reason, it reminds me of Terriers (dammit!!). Could be Dud's look is Donal Logue-ish. or it's the SoCal setting. who knows...
  9. Random stuff. This was mentioned in IMDb trivia. In Gillian Anderson's scenes in this episode you'll notice she's not actually with anyone else in a shot. I'm assuming this is because for much of production she was doing a play in Brooklyn and couldn't make it to Toronto until she was done. There are a couple shots of Media as Marilyn from the back, but that could be anyone.
  10. Betty Gilpin as Audrey, reminds me of the (much missed from later seasons) Elizabeth Perkins as Celia Hodes foil from Weeds.
  11. Nicholas Meyer, David Warner, Malcom McDowell and Mary Steenburgen thank ABC for their wisdom. :)
  12. I actually applaud this. Don't stretch it out just because it's what American productions tend to do. It's why I enjoy a lot of BBC television.
  13. It sounds like they really aren't sure what happened with the envelopes as of yet. I heard on the radio this morning (but haven't been able to verify it online anywhere; can't find any mention of it) that there was actually a reprint of all the original winner cards because the font size was deemed too small. So the cards were then stuffed into their respective envelopes twice. Could mean nothing, but it would allow for a larger margin of error.
  14. Actually, it's the other way around. The talk has been that she only signed for a limited number of episodes, thus the story line. The question is whether it's permanent or not. Indefinite comas are commonplace in the soap world and a possibility here as well, so who knows. Did CMT sign up for more than one season?
  15. yeah, I think so too. I can't imagine Neil LaBute being involved in something that didn't have some potential.
  16. hmm, Maureen Ryan at Variety seems less than impressed.
  17. yeah, it just sort of stopped in a weird place as well. The other thing I thought strange was the BravoTV bug throughout said "Finale" as opposed to "Season Finale." I kept thinking through the whole episode, "Is this it?", "The last of Jeff Lewis & co."? I remember that old "Blow Out" series with hair guy Jonathan Antin ended when he had a kid and I thought this might be a parallel conclusion to this series. Not everyone wants their parenting documented for all to see.
  18. ...and another tidbit from Variety. I'm hopeful that Herskovitz and Zwick can change things up a bit. Was a big fan of thirtysomething back in the day (and to a lesser degree Once And Again and My So-Called Life).
  19. Woah. Le Carre wrote the original story in 1993, so anything new was adapted. Frankly I wish they had left it there, but new audiences often have issues with imagining a less interconnected world.
  20. strange they didn't show Claire Danes great dress, even though they commented on it at the E! site. oh right, they have to spend time getting in their requisite marketing of all thing Kardashian/Jenner instead. :p
  21. it must have been a contractual "kowtow to the Kardashians" episode. Ms. Jenner is simply too nice as well; have to keep those networking bridges clear for her offspring. And I think it's clear, Margaret is the new acerbic voice (of Joan). It can have the same interruptive quality as well, especially when jokes miss. I like Margaret, but I thought it flowed better with Kathy G.
  22. "Star Trek VI, The Undiscovered Country" had something similar following the assassination scene. Which was well done for 1991. :)Now that I think about it, the "splash" may have been a practical effect. Better to just ignore me. ;)
  23. The Hollywood Reporter has a review of The Leisure Class up. Not pretty.
  24. it's airing on the day immediately following the season ending episode of Project Greenlight, so... works for me.
