I hated with a passion that Hook killed his father and left his half-brother an orphan. It just seemed totally out of character for him. I still have no idea what happened with the dagger that Rumple has and how that all came to be. I was actually surprised that Rumple is the DO again. Poor Belle. All her friends aren't telling her the truth, that she's sleeping with the DO, just so they can get Hook back. Not sure how I feel about that. And what happened to all the Camelot people? I'm still cursing the waste of a Merida episode which could have been spent wrapping up other story lines. The only thing I really liked about this episode was Emma's unwavering love for Hook. Go get your man Emma! Also, I didn't cry at all, I'm not sure why.

Spoiler Discussion: The apple was poisoned?!
pezgirl7 replied to regularlyleaded's topic in Once Upon A Time
I have two theories about the sneak peek with Hook and Regina. The first is that Regina puts some kind of hallucinogenic potion in Hook's wine, and then he dreams meeting his father. Maybe Regina can somehow see his thoughts when this happens. The other is that Papa Hook is Regina in disguise. I just don't think Papa Hook is still alive in this time period. I think he died a natural death, and Hook will meet him in the UW for the first time since he was abandoned. -
Emma Swan: 1000% done with your infuriating optimism
pezgirl7 replied to regularlyleaded's topic in Once Upon A Time
Not to get into fandumb wank again, although I kind of am... I thought it was funny how Regina's comments probably echoed what the SQ fans think about CS, and potentially could have even solidified their feelings. Like, 'Hey, Regina sees it too! Emma doesn't love Hook enough to do all of this for him.' Although at this point, after all the I Love You's, and Emma's tears, and her talk about their happy ending together, I don't know how anyone could doubt that she loves Hook. -
Spoiler Discussion: The apple was poisoned?!

I can see Milah feeling guilty over leaving Bealfire and not being able to watch him grow up, so being a crossing guard where she can be around and protect children makes sense. I hope season 5 isn't like season 1 in that everyone in the UW has no memory of who they are. It would be more interesting I think if they did remember, but they probably won't, because they seem to be carrying on as if they are still alive. -
Killian Jones/Captain Hook: One Handed Pirate With A Drinking Problem
pezgirl7 replied to Arandil's topic in Once Upon A Time
I thought it was strange too. This episode was actually the first time Hook said 'I love you' to Emma. He's said it in other ways before, but not those actual 3 words, so I didn't really understand why he said that. Unless he was talking about past relationships, but I thought Milah was the only other woman besides Emma who he's loved. -
So originally Hook cast the curse so he could get back to Storybrooke to kill Rumple. Then when he gets his memories back he tells Rumple that he's going to take his head for turning Emma dark. But then he pushes Emma away and doesn't kill Rumple. Instead he brings all the DOs to Storybrooke. That doesn't make any sense unless Hook has some alterior motive, like ridding the world of the darkness for good. That's all I can hope for at this point. I just hope he can be redeemed.

I thought I'd enjoy this episode even if it was only for Colin's acting, but I just found it mehhh. Too much hard-earned character assassination for my taste. All the CS kisses in the world can't make up for the way Hook pushed Emma away. Also, DO Emma's voice is starting to get annoying. I think it's strange how much Regina likes to smile when she brings up all the horrible things she has done. I just don't understand that acting choice. I want to believe she has changed, and I believe it when she talks about Henry, but it's hard sometimes when she's always bringing up her past whill showing no sense of remorse. I did like Snow's little speech to Charming though, but then they ruined it when Emma's whole family left her behind in Storybrooke after just chiding her for trying to fix the problems on her own.

Morality in Storybrooke / Social Issues: Threads Combined!
pezgirl7 replied to Rumsy4's topic in Once Upon A Time
I kinda feel like at this point, they're damned if they do and damned if they don't. Most characters they'll introduce now will only be around for a short time. If they cast a white person, they're missing an opportunity at diversity. If they cast a POC, then they're just doing that to make their quota. They had more opportunities in the past, like with Zelena, Robin and Lily. I still don't know why they cast the older Lily with that actress. I didn't think she was that great, so I don't see it as being, Wow she's so good we must have her even though she doesn't really look like the younger version of the character. -
Morality in Storybrooke / Social Issues: Threads Combined!

Not to get off topic, but I'm pretty sure that Latin America doesn't just include South America, so Lana would be Latina along with being Hispanic. I've noticed in the midwest, Hispanic is used more, while in other parts of the country, Latino seems to be preferred. -

I think it would have been cool if he went back to his leather pirate jacket in Storybrooke. They could have even brought back the red vest, which would have looked cool during his sword fight with Gold. -
I just saw this on Tumblr. It's pretty much confirmation that the writers pulled the whole Marian is Zelena plot out of their asses. "I had no idea that I was coming back, so I was very nicely surprised when they called me and were like ‘do you want to be undead?’ I’m like ‘yeah!’ They’re like ‘by the way, you were Maid Marian the whole time.’ I’m like, ‘SHUT UP!’ They were like ‘AND, wait for it - ’ So I pull the car over - and they said ‘you’re pregnant with Robin’s baby.’ I’m like ‘OH MY GOD, […] I’M GONNA GET SO MANY HATE TWEETS." — Rebecca Mader, Heroes and Villains panel (via desperationandgin) http://onceuponapodcast.tumblr.com/post/133764489283/i-had-no-idea-that-i-was-coming-back-so-i-was

Killian Jones/Captain Hook: One Handed Pirate With A Drinking Problem

Just watched the OUAT promo shown during the AMAs. They called Hook Emma's "one true love". That put a smile on my face, especially after the stinker of the NASCAR championship race earlier. -

What's more sickening is that Hook could have Rumple's memories of killing Milah. Yes, Hook was there, but now he'd have a different set of memories and emotions from her death. I suppose he could even "remember" almost crushing his own heart. That could get complicated. LOL -
Unpopular Opinions: Happily Ever After? Yeah, Right!
pezgirl7 replied to Geeni's topic in Once Upon A Time
Same here! It's why I always refer to him as Hook. Just so much easier to type. :) Also, Hook is easier to read. Killian is a bit of a mouthful, even it's just three syllables. I tend to say the words I read in my head (don't most people do?), and Killian just doesn't roll off my midwestern tongue very nicely. -

pezgirl7 replied to Geeni's topic in Once Upon A Time
Not sure if I've ever actually posted an Unpopular Opinion in here before, but here it goes... I don't like when people call Killian "Killy". It makes him sound like a little boy or a puppy. Maybe if he was a dwarf in The Hobbit, it would be ok. -
I keep hearing I'll Stand By You by Rachel Platten on the radio, and it always gives me CS feels... Even if we can't find heaven, I'll walk through Hell with you Love, you're not alone, cause I'm gonna stand by you I love that no matter what gets thrown at CS, I don't think I've heard a single person (save for SQers) doubt that they'll make it through intact. I feel like once all the crap they're dealing with gets resolved, their relationship will be even stronger. So even if I don't like all the obstacles and drama that might keep them apart, I love knowing that they'll make it through and be together in the end. Like it's not even a question at this point. I didn't always feel that way.

Spoiler Discussion: The apple was poisoned?!

I noticed that too about Colin's hair and thought it must mean he's still parting his hair that way on the show. Which could mean he's still dark when he goes to the underworld, which doesn't really make sense since I figured he'd have had all the darkness sucked out of him before he really truly died for reals. -
The only plus for me about Regina using the dagger on Emma was that it put another check in the CS column over SQ. Hook was able to get Emma to confess what she was thinking and ignite the spark by just talking to her. Regina says she finally knows Emma, and then proceeds to take away Emma's agency. What an amazing friend she is! Has anyone yet mentioned that Robin now has a baby girl?! No? Yea, didn't think so.

Thanks! I saw them making eyes, but it was right after Red turned back from being a wolf, so it could have been interpreted as amazement and curiosity. So I guess again, it was a possible more than friends situation that was left ambiguous. I thought that when Emma tethered Hook to Excalibur and he said he wasn't strong enough to come back from the darkness, that Emma would somehow absorb ALL the darkness, which would be what made her go all dark. But I guess now they're just sharing the darkness? Kinda bummed since I wanted, and most fans speculated, that Hook would be the lightness to her darkness. Instead of Yin yang, they're yin yin now.

I think we should have two separate episode threads for these two entirely separate episodes. I have no interest in talking about the Bear King, although I have to ask, since I fastforwarded through a lot of it, did I miss the gay storyline? Wasn't there suppose to be something between Mulan and Ruby? Or was all this hype about Mulan admitting she was in love, which we aleady knew? The Birth episode was insane. I'm still trying to process everything that happened. There was so much lovely CS stuff, but then it ended with Hook becoming the thing that he has hated the most. And boy his death scene was really hard to watch. He really did look like he was in pain. I don't really understand how he hasn't manifested any magic yet or had no idea that something was off with himself. I also hate that he seemed so angry at Emma with what she did. I know some people think he's pretending because Zelena is still there, but I don't really believe that.

Thats an interesting trio, and makes me think that his would be a great opportunity for them to mix up the pairings on the show. Mainly I just want to see Emma kick ass next to Charming, or Snow. -
Fandom and Viewer Issues: "Fan" Is Short for "Fanatic"

And Tinker Hook, one of my fav pairings, whether it's as friends, or a crackship. :) -
I thought the writers said the Darlings didn't live in our world, but some other land similar to ours. Therefore we don't know what year it was when Baelfire ended up there. I might be remembering that wrong though. I also think it's possible that Hook had been in Neverland for a while before Bae showed up. Bae went through a portal, so he could have went 100 years into the future, so then when he ended up in Neverland, 100 years had gone by for Hook.
