  1. You could enjoy and understand the Watchmen film, without ever reading the graphic novel (which I eventually did). But this series is basically a sequel. I can't imagine that it's going to make any sense to anyone who doesn't know the source material. As for the pilot, I had high hopes, and was not disappointed.
  2. Amy had Cheyenne print out Jeff's Facebook profile pic, and say Mateo had it hanging in his locker.
  3. As usual, the more employees involved, the better the episode. I especially loved Sayid's "I also give zero F's. It's not unique to Mateo" line. And Justine delivers every time.
  4. If, right after one of my kids is killed by a drunk driver, someone from M.A.D.D. shows up on my front door, asking me to take part in a protest, they can eff right off. If I want to get involved, I'll call you. These guys obviously knew where she lived. They should've just sent her a letter.
  5. I know. Another poster did. It was quoted in my original post.
  6. Fair enough. But I'm not gonna pass judgement on a woman who lost two sons (one directly, one indirectly) from that war. Or label her as "disgusting".
  7. I never got the idea that she was defending the war in Vietnam. Rather, that she was offended by being asked to be a prop in an anti-war protest, while still in the midst of mourning her son.
  8. It was a little clunky (as most pilots are), and the laugh track was distracting. But Heaton completely won me over in "The Middle", so I'll give it a few more episodes.
  9. Same here. This show never fails to make me laugh. This episode was no exception. Carol is definitely up to something.
  10. Pretty sure the Ladybug is Ashlee Simpson. Especially when she started singing.
  11. The song probably doesn't even exist if Foster doesn't suggest the title to him. That's why Kris gave him half credit.
  12. A customer retail story. A couple of weeks ago, I'm in the self-checkout section at Wal-mart. Struggling to get the price gun to hit the upc on the box of cat litter. One of the employees walks up to me, pushes the cart closer to the scanner, and says "You need to bring your work closer to you." My work. Took a second for that to sink in. Screw self-checkout. I'm done working at Wal-mart.
  13. After watching the finale, I'm guessing that June's wound will cause some genetic mutation, where she develops heat vision, or the ability to fly. Or both.
  14. I thought Kyle Allen clearly outplayed him last year. Once they drafted Grier, the writing was on the wall for Heinicke.
  15. Even without Cam, there's still a lot of talent on the Panthers' roster. A lot more than Miami, anyway.
  16. Especially considering that Cam is/was as close to automatic as you can get, on those QB sneaks.
  17. Why should it be any different from the rest of this season?
  18. Here's the thing. If we're gonna start paying quarterbacks $30 million/year, this is gonna start happening more often. I don't blame Luck one bit.
  19. Pretty sure that wasn't Madelyn ... or even Doppelganger posing as Madelyn. Didn't look like Elisabeth Shue to me.
  20. I can't look at him without seeing a young Bill Hader.

    The NBA

Unsurprising. Not much of a market for CP3 and his awful contract.

    The NBA

We'll see. How many of those 1st rounders is he gonna have to throw in to get someone to take on CP3's horrible contract?

    The NBA

No sympathy here. OKC tried to pilfer the Hornets from New Orleans, and when that failed, stole the Sonics from Seattle. And then somehow ended up with Durant, Westbrook, & Harden in their laps. As fanbases go, they've had a pretty easy ride. It's about time that town learned what it's really like to have a small-market NBA team.
