  1. Doubtful. The producers aren't gonna let Ben Feldman go anywhere. He's basically the 2nd lead character. If anything, he'll probably get a raise. He can continue to play the hipster d-bag, no matter who the boss is. Looking back, it now seems pretty clear why they dialed back the Amy/Jonah romance this season.
  2. Terrible news. While I never had any investment in the Jonah/Any relationship, I just can't imagine the show without America. Sure, The Office continued after Steve Carell left. But it probably shouldn't have.
  3. I love Adam Pally, but I couldn't make it through this.
  4. That's been happening all season long, with several teams. Every time someone makes a pick, the entire defense runs to the end zone and poses. So yeah, dumb move by the 49ers, but it's becoming the norm.
  5. Yeah, Keuchly's retirement was a shock, but Olsen leaving isn't. After the last game of the season, he sounded like a guy on his way out the door. I guess Cam is the last remaining shoe to drop.

    Motorsports

This one hurts. After Davey Allison died, John became my favorite driver. And while the on-track results weren't always there, I was always proud to be a John Andretti fan, just because of the man he was. Godspeed, JA.
  7. Unfortunately, the "clueless boss" is a sitcom trope that writers still cling to. A good comparison for Amy is Jim Halpert/The Office. When he wasn't in charge, he was the sane, rational one. But whenever they put him in a position of authority, he became a bumbling doofus. It's lazy.
  8. Agreed. And we're closing in on 100 episodes. All sitcoms have a shelf life. If they gets a 6th season (which is very likely), they'll be right up there with "Parks & Recreation", as far as episode count. Which seems hard to believe.
  9. Pats out, Saints out. Best Wild Card Weekend, ever.
  10. Really? Del Rio has bounced around the league for a while. Rivera is solid, but not great.
  11. I finally tapped out after this episode. Not because it was worse than any of the other S10 episodes, but because I realized that I don't care about any of these people anymore. Or what happens to them.
  12. HBO will want a S2, with or without Damon Lindelof. But if he's not involved, I'm not really interested.
  13. The only surprise is that it happened before the season ended. Ron is a good coach, but his time was up here. Especially with a new owner, who wants his own people in place. Rivera will have no problem finding another HC job.

    The NBA

So .... we all agree that the Warriors are gonna win the lottery, right?
  15. I thought Fred Armisen was pretty toned down, by his usual standards. That role could've been played by pretty much anyone, and it would've been the same. Not sure why they used him for that.
  16. I've got no dog in this particular fight, but you don't want your first loss to be at home, against a division rival that is breathing down your neck in the standings. That division is up for grabs, now.
  17. I would say that Jonah is the same hipster d-bag that he was in the pilot.
  18. I don't think anything had changed. The show has always had long story arcs that played out over an extended time. They weren't always at the forefront of every episode, but they were there: Jonah/Amy/Kelly Jeff/Mateo Dina/Amy pregnancy Dina/Garrett Mateo's Immigration status Corporate/Unionization/Myrtle Sandra/Carol/Jerry
  19. That's kinda my point. There was backlash in San Diego. In L.A., it'll be a shrug of the shoulders. They play in a 27,000 seat stadium, which is mostly filled by fans of the opposing team. Most of the San Diego fans have abandoned them, and L.A. doesn't care. All that said, there's a bunch of logistical reasons why there won't be a permanent London team. Besides, the NFL is already making decent coin on these London games, even without a legit "home team".
  20. The Chargers are pretty much the only team that could be relocated overseas, without having any backlash.
