  1. Watching Patrick Mahomes run for his life brought back unpleasant memories of Cam Newton and SB 50. (Cotchery caught the damn ball)
  2. If I learned anything this season, it's that I hate the Patriots more than I hate Brady. Was rooting for the Chiefs, but didn't lose any sleep over the Bucs winning.
  3. Did not see the Nia twist coming. Poor Jonah. 😄
  4. No problem. I was responding to the post just above mine.
  5. Jared Goff signed a guaranteed contract for $110 million. I don't feel bad for him. Not even a little bit.
  6. Spoiler-ish content about the remaining episodes: SUPERSTORE Bosses Tease an Unexpected Rivalry, A Holiday Twist, and a Cloud 9 Shakeup
  7. No way Houston trades him within the division. He needs to call Detroit.
  8. The weakest part of this show has always been Katy's "career". I care as little about her vlog as I did her lasagna business and party planning job. I didn't mind Holly Robinson-Peete, but I hope this doesn't mean 2nd breakfast is over. That was one of my favorite parts of the show. Overall, I thought this was a pretty good episode. And I think I'm getting used to Anna-Kat 2.0. I've pretty much stopped imagining her lines being spoken by Julia Butters.
  9. My stepson is an obnoxious Pats fan, and his head will explode if Brady wins a SB in Tampa. I'm not a Brady fan, but I'd kinda like to see that. As far as the GOAT thing goes, I put Peyton Manning a lot closer to Brady than most people do. Sure he doesn't have the number of rings that Brady does, but he didn't have Belichick for a coach either.
  10. I thought it was a good episode. Besides laying out Garrett's frustrations, they also did a good job with with the idea of white people wanting to do/say the right thing, but failing. This show has never backed away from social issues, so I don't expect them to start now, even down the final stretch. I have to say that this may have been the first episode where I didn't even notice Amy's absence. Nia did a fine job of standing in as the voice of reason. Further proof that the show could've continued without America Ferrera. I think that one of the reasons the show is ending because of the logistics of filming such a large ensemble cast during Covid. As disinterested as I am in a Cheyenne/Bo spinoff, they can obviously do it with a much smaller cast (and budget). More Cody, please.
  11. Guess I'm in the minority. This show makes me laugh, which is enough to keep me watching. That being said, I'm probably not invested enough to regularly discuss it on a message board. 😐
  12. Google. Always start with Google. Alabama 53 Ohio State 48 LSU 41 Florida 36 Michigan 33 Georgia 32 Penn State 32 Miami (Fla.) 31 Notre Dame 31 Oklahoma 31 Florida State 30 Texas A&M 29 Clemson 28 Iowa 28 Stanford 28 Washington 27 Wisconsin 27 Auburn 26 Texas 26 UCLA 26
  13. Jeez, thanks for the reminder. Jets completely blew that game.😡
  14. When Ron Rivera brought in Kyle Allen and named him the Week 5 starter, it was all over for Haskins.
  15. Fox was clearly in IDGAF mode, and I don't think anyone blamed him. Ownership had turned on him, but was too cheap to pay two coaches. So he had to coach the last year of a contract that clearly wasn't gonna be extended. And with Jimmy Clausen as his QB, who he didn't have a high opinion of. (Rightly so, in retrospect). Fox' tenure had run its course, but he deserved better from Panthers' ownership.
  16. True. There's gotta be some job security there. In Charlotte, the GM who oversaw their 2-14 season is the same guy who drafted Cam Newton and Luke Kuechly. If the owner wants to tank, all he's got to do is close the purse strings. Players and coaches don't tank, but they can be set up to fail.
  17. I have to take issue with the people saying that tanking doesn't happen. Sure, coaches and players don't tank, but GM's do assemble crappy rosters in the hopes of a high draft pick. And you've got to be BAD, because they're no draft lottery. Hell, this year 1-15 might not get it done. The Panthers absolutely tanked for Andrew Luck in 2010. In fact, they did such a great job of being terrible, that they convinced him to stay at Stanford for another year. 😟
  18. Agreed. Bo is better in small doses.
  19. The irony being, he wasn't an aggressive play caller at all, Panthers struggled his first couple of seasons there, and it was looking like he might get fired. So he started being less conservative, and at the same time, the team started winning. Once his job was secure, you only saw flashes of "Riverboat Ron" on occasion.
  20. Not sure I'm buying that, unless NBC is getting completely out of the sitcom business. Superstore has been their highest rated comedy of the past few years, and that includes Brooklyn 99 and The Good Place. ETA: It will be interesting when we eventually find out the timeline of this decision. I have to think that, if they had known this would be the final season, they wouldn't have written out Amy in such a clumsy way.
  21. Wow. That is a bummer. I felt like the show still had a couple of seasons left in it. Will miss this cast.
