  1. I'd say that most Panther fans are happy he's flourishing. We've never had a Kyle Shanahan here, or surrounded him with the offensive talent that's in SF. For years he was basically our only weapon, and defenses keyed on that. In short, Panther fans are happy for him because they know he wouldn't be putting up these crazy numbers if he were still here. Around these parts, we're used to wasting generational talents (CMC, Kuechly. Cam, Smitty, etc)
  2. Pretty much every visiting fanbase takes over the Panther's stadium. That's what PSL's get you. This was yesterday:
  3. This is all true. But we're looking like a bottom-5 team, in a year where we've traded next year's 1st round pick. We let Steve Wilks go because we wanted an offensive-minded coach ... and the offense looks like garbage. And the guy that half the fanbase wanted to draft at #1 (CJ Stroud) is looking pretty good in Houston. Fun times.
  4. Panthers fans right now:
  5. This may be as disinterested as I've ever been in BB. It's early though.
  6. Yeah, this was the first episode where it was really noticeable. For me, anyway.

I don't know if the Hornets are going to draft Brandon Miller or Scoot Henderson. I do know this: Whoever we pick will be an epic bust, while the other will be a perennial all-star. No matter which one we choose. This is the way.
  8. This show never grabbed me like Superstore did. Watched S1, but S2 is still on the dvr. I heard it was better. I know Justin Spitzer is working on some new shows, so I'll definitely check those out.
  9. I'm pretty sure they're all pissed. You know there was plenty of behind-the-scenes pleading and cajoling to keep these guys on the PGA tour. Especially in light of the cash that LIV was throwing around. And who ended up taking the money? The PGA Tour. And the PGA didn't even tell them before announcing it. The guys who stuck around look like suckers.
  10. This was a fun waste of a couple of nights.

Happy NBA Draft Lottery Day! Or, as we call it in Charlotte, Tuesday.
  12. Blackburn Rovers won the Premiership in 1994-95, and were relegated from the EPL after the 1998-99 season.
  13. I believe that the $8 million is what 20th Century (Disney) budgets for production. I'm guessing that would be salaries and the large set pieces (stunts) they do. Then they turn around and charge Fox $9-10 million per episode. It probably made sense when it was still 20th Century Fox (seasons 1-4), and Fox could control the costs and get paid from syndication. That's gone now.
  14. Saw on Deadline that Fox was paying $10 million/episode, for a show they don't own. Not surprised they pulled the plug.
  15. I'm ok with the cancellation. I can't remember another show that had such a promising start, and went downhill so quickly.
  16. Not surprised. Good show, bad ratings.
  17. Binged the last three episodes last night. This show has grown on me. I always thought it was funny, but now that the characters have been fleshed out a bit, I'm enjoying it even more (even though McHale is basically doing a softer version of Jeff Winger). I liked the addition of the "Jack" character, and hope we see more of him. Just realized that he's also on "Ghosts." Hope we get a 2nd season.
  18. Thanks, I did not know that, but it makes sense now. I enjoyed both shows. Very tonally alike. "Maggie" was kind of a "dead show walking" at ABC, and got shuffled off to Hulu for a burnoff. So it's cancellation wasn't really surprising. Glad this show seems to be doing better.
  19. I've been hate-watching this show for the last few seasons, but damn if they didn't stick the landing. This somehow hit me harder than the ending of "This Is Us", which was always the superior show. Missed last week's episode, so this was a pretty bleak 2-episode binge. But well done. Take care, everyone.
  20. Same. After Bobby solved his sponsor's murder last episode, I had a feeling of, "Wait, this season's still going on? Why?"
  21. Eh. It's a sitcom. If I want accuracy, I'll watch Dr. Pol.
  22. Not really. The rock and roll landscape is littered with bands that fell apart because one guy (the main songwriter) was making the lion's share of the money.
  23. I'd guess that the Panthers are putting this out there to bait the Texans into trading up to draft Bryce Young. I doubt it works.
  24. That's the definition of the Texans. If you're a QB, you'd probably rather play for Frank Reich & Jim Caldwell than a great defensive coordinator.
