Art Modell happened. And in the meantime, the city of Baltimore's Super Bowl total moved to 3. Just life in the world of the National Football League Edited to add: The Steelers decided to actually play the role of big brother. The rest is history. Also, more teams started to join including the merge, several of whom featured great culture from top to bottom. In addition, and to be fair, the Browns were still okay from the mid/late 80s to the early/mid 90s. That early part after New York won it's second Superbowl in a half-decade wasn't great, but there were signs of success until the success travelled East

I'd rather see both or neither as it relates to Boston/LA, though I still will not write off the Celtics. That's only because they annoy me by losing multiple games within a series, only to crush the souls of their foes by winning...only when they're on the brink. Of course, I'm not going to write off the Lakers, since their 2 losses were on the road. If they win at home, they can test Game 5 before punting to Game 6. Win their final home game in the West Finals, and then see what happens in a winner-take-all Game 7 in Denver

Jim Brown was the GOAT outside of the Super Bowl Era. Period.

You know, it's a whole lot of fun watching a quad OT game when you have no stake in the game, when you have no rooting interest, and when you respect both teams in the game

Too bad they failed to take even one (in Denver). They fell short on stealing the first one, and when the roles were reversed, they couldn't hold on. Not that the small halftime lead was destined to hold anyway with how bad AD was. As mentioned, I still don't think it's over for the Lakers, but I still think Denver is winning the series. Despite what Rose said, I agree with SAS that it's not over. It will be if they lose either game on Saturday & Monday (literally if they lose both, plus I'll laugh). They just need to be 2-2. Los Angeles is not coming back from 3-1. That LBJ Cavs team that did it was better overall. AD is better than Love and/or Irving, but the role players for LA aren't as good. Though Jokic isn't as good as that Curry player but good enough to have been the MVP this year. Well, that's basketball. If the Lakers fall, oh well. It'll be to a great team with a great player. We'll see what happens with Boston, but it's possible that neither Boston nor LA make it. Which is perfect since I'd love to see Butler vs Jokic!

If that's the end, what a run. He wouldn't be playing into his 40s, and the injuries would've hindered that, but to have done what he's done throughout his career in less time than his good friend Roger, and at the French Open, IMO, he has nothing left to prove.

Me too, tracyscott. I actually admired everyone in the cast, and everyone left. That includes Danny, Frannie (of course), and even Yam Yam. At the beginning, there was nothing to hate someone for. While that changed (and that's good since a villain is necessary on the show), everyone seemed to come back to form. Obviously, there are those I admire more (Carolyn, Carson, Heidi), but overall, anyone left that wins? I'll be okay with. Jaime can't win, and I don't know about Lauren. It might come down to how she presents herself at a FTC if she makes it. Which might be the case for everyone else. Very good cast here Edited to add more of a response to iMonrey's post

To be fair, I think LadyChatts was referring to an idol making a difference. Danny was done with or without it. My apologies if I'm missing a joke but it's a toss as there were votes against Carson but nothing against Heidi
-
Unless the game ends with a final 2, there will be only 8 votes.

It's basically what LA did, except the outcome for Miami was a favorable one. Helped that Boston's lead was half of what Denver's lead was on Tuesday. In my opinion, despite the Heat's big win, it doesn't mean too much if the Celtics win on Friday night. For whatever reason they end up in these series to where they go the distance (for example, losing twice at home against Philly but winning a couple on the road). The Heat isn't a team you want to be down 3-2 against. Especially this year. However, I'm guessing it'll be a tie series heading into Game 5 with the home teams winning out. Should Boston advance, they'll lose the Finals again if they don't take care on business at home in the 2 games they have to start it. It's a lot easier to win on the road against the East than in a place like Los Angeles and definitely Denver

At the expense of Brandon who earlier saved himself with an idol that led to a painful exit for Maddy. A little bit of Karma there FWIW. BTW, SummerDreams, I know have Charlie Brown & Peanuts on the mind this morning. I'm guessing Lauren's students don't think it's a big deal. That might be a good thing. Now, if a teacher sounds like a cartoon character for High School students, things might get out of hand. I couldn't agree more about Lauren, Jaime, and Heidi not working together. That's a shame since they could achieved a tie. What was unfortunate was that they might've had a chance to previously when Frannie and Danny were in the game. However, I don't think so. It didn't help that Carolyn still had an idol and Tika members won immunity. So I can't blame them. Even though they probably still take out Jaime with a revote, if they revote, there was no effort this time or before. Not it's too late

Same here. After all, I mentioned in chat that they basically clinched it with Heidi playing the idol, but not on Jaime (more on that later). However, if it doesn't happen, one of two things need to happen to defend it. Carolyn (and Yam Yam) take out Carson as they'll no longer be in a minority. Or, the final 4 tie-breaker benefits Heidi or Lauren. I know people aren't a fan of it, but there probably would be no reason to watch without it because the only thing that would deny a Tika Final 3 is a non-member winning the final IC. I don't share the same joy violet and green might be expressing as it related to Heidi's lost idol, but to be fair, given the mentions of a free pass toward controlling one's own destiny, while it's nice, if the show is going to do that fire-making thing, there should be no hidden immunity idols valid at final five, period. That actually used to be the case, but TBH, that should be the case today. BTW, it does suck for Heidi. It looked like she'd risk it and be a target when Jeff was about to say, "Okay, I'll read the votes." Only then, Heidi had an 11th hour move. She was on the fence, sadly, but easier to say that watching from home
-
Well, when you go back a minute or two, while a successful attempt was made it was at the benefit of someone else not holding one, but yeah, Heidi would've been safe for the remainder of the game had she held on. At least in getting voted out, it would've been a 4th place tie breaking loss at worst
-
I remember when there was a time where I could watch the finale, not caring who of the 18 would win. How things have changed. I think I still like the cast overall like in Season 43, but everyone left winning, including Yam Yam, I'd be okay with
-
Can't blame Heidi for playing the idol. It was the wrong result, but better than leaving with it. She might survive into the Final 4 unless Lauren retains. But why take a chance. Just win immunity; besides, despite controlling your fate, I'm not betting on her winning a tiebreaker or FTC She really did play it for nothing!

That should pretty much be a lock for a Tika Final 3

Something's up

By burping with the nails on the cheeks /s

By spinning TPIR big wheel off camera /j

Everyone brought their stuff. Lauren didn't need to and she's not emulating Reichenbauch
-
Man, I don't see how either decision helps Yam Yam. Not saying both hurt him, but he ain't beating Carolyn, and no one's giving him a standing ovation if he kicks her out

Welcome to the party!

I'm getting ads for my local car dealerships and a bunch of CBS stuff. Including a new summer show called Buddy Games, which looks like a cross between a discount Big Brother. Anyone got ads for True Lies? /j
-
And as long as that's the case, plenty of time for Heidi to emulate James /s

Thanks a whole lot, Grizzly. I was rooting for her to win!! LOL!!!
