LOL. I'll give you that. Nicole & Ron turning him away from the gates of Heaven, while Norm cacklea behind them would absolutely give a smile. But then he can go straight to Hell, do not pass Go. To be fair with that scenario, I'd prefer a bluff here. Where Nicole & Ron say forgive & forget, but only for Norm to say, not so fast. Then after OJ begs for mercy & forgiveness, Norm states that he is showing mercy & forgiveness. "You get to hang out & drink with Ohlmeyer!" Then Norm releases a trap door, causing OJ to fall through it as Nicole & Ron stand there and laugh. Despite the climate from a couple weeks ago, as mentioned, OJ's career still happened. Great player in both college & the NFL, from start to finish. Then he parlayed that with a decent broadcasting career & acting career. Imagine if he'd gone next level with that as opposed to whatever happened 30 years ago. Anyway, that was on him. BTW, I don't think I could've rolled my eyes at ESPN anymore, mainly due to that slow fade to black for Simpson. Spare me from the, "We're a sports network. It's our job to focus on the on field stuff, before the other stuff." Which is true, but that hasn't stopped them from the opposite over the past decade. Two weeks later...OJ Simpson. STILL DEAD at 76. Anyway, rather than talk about dead Heisman winning first picks from USC, I'd rather discuss living, active Heisman winning first picks from USC. Caleb Williams is going to be a Chicago Bear. The latter made no secret of it, and before any Elway/Eli situations could take place, Caleb squashed those. I don't know what to expect from Chicago, but good on Williams for telling the Bears to come get me. I'm ready. Not that he had a choice but good on him for that. At least try to do your best. Plus, Chicago wasn't even the worst team in the league last year. That can be forgotten, but thanks to a franchise down South, that was actually the worst of the worst, good things may be coming for the NFC North franchise. If it doesn't work out but Caleb can stay healthy, then maybe he'll shine somewhere else. If trends continue, he'll do that in Pittsburgh, except not if the Steelers opt to stay lazy and have the same HC & philosophy they've had since 2007. It isn't great that Caleb Williams pretty much is included in an Internet page with OJ Simpson and Carson Palmer but it's up to him to change the narrative

Travis is the best "heel" the in the NFL. Sort of a villain, the bad guy on television, but (AFAIK) is a decent human being in real life. No nonsense about him. The problem is people are not good in terms of their opinions about their professional players. They focus too much on what they see and that's enough for them to rate them according to them. For instance, thinking Kelce is not as good of a person as Hines Ward. I can take it or leave it. I get the "hate" while loving the "work ethic. If he's a great guy off the field, his on field actions can be vexatious, while those can enjoy the passion. I tend to ignore what I don't know that's not public and non-related to the sport. If he's a good guy that is perfectly fine for me

That would make sense. In addition to the reasoning here, even though the school years are starting much, much earlier than in the past, that would've been a rather early commencement date

To be honest, I think I may not have noticed if no mention was made

Meh. Both Philadelphia & Los Angeles had several chances to win the game with margin for error AND a case where a bad call/no-call would've been irrelevant. I've said forever that winning by as much as possible is okay because if you don't, you might not win at all

So much for the one thing that helps one get to sleep as opposed to doing so mid afternoon when stuff has to get done. While I don't think Boston will crumble to Miami regardless of who's available for the latter, I sorta have no plans of watching Miami/Chicago. One has a more positive history against what should be the East winner, the other...really I couldn't even dream of a positive history. Injuries suck, but it's sports. You want to see the best perform, but one could argue that everyone in the league is among the best to ever play the game. Within the current era of course
  8. It's going to be a rather long 5 weeks at least before I see some people in Fiji answering for their gameplay. Unless you actually are the one that gets all of the cash for winning
  9. Well, I guess the warning lived up to its hype!
  10. I think it is a coin flip either way here. Of course it would fail if say Tiffany doesn't have a plan B, especially when she's fair game for the boot. Tevin, meanwhile, knows that no one's splitting the title. It's great early but I've seen so many times a decent alliance not even make it to the penultimate episode let alone the finale
  11. Unless it has nothing to do with gameplay...Or common sense, such as: she's on the way out & Q says, Take my torch...and give it to Peachy
  12. Apparently, EGO is the first commercial after that recent segment. You CANNOT make that up!
  13. If someone hadn't seen Survivor until 29 minutes ago, they'd think this was a returning cast seasons full of people America voted as sorta feeling sorry for!
  14. I mean, it's embarrassing that it's basically been done away with, especially when the show extended to 90 minutes. Though not surprising
  15. I mean, Tevin could not have been more wrong there. The fact that he spoke it was a blindside in & of itself!
  16. That is fine, but the advice is people have to laugh to preserve laugh. "Villain" Venus or Venus acting like something better than slice bread is hilarious
  17. I think I might be okay with Venus getting the credit. Soda did ask after all!
  18. And if it isn't, good thing we have Jeff to say that it was worth it!

I think the Lakers actually have a chance this time around. They're not taking both of the first two games in Denver, but I think they'll be able to split there. The Nuggets will quickly erase that deficit / LA home field before a return back home, but amid last year's 4-game sweep, the games were actually close. Well, at least the people that might not like Denver can enjoy a worse beating in the NBA Finals by the East Champions which will be an official denial of a repeat before the series actually ends. Speaking of endings, that's what it's all about for the GSW! New era NBA indeed!

Probably a smart & correct call to win your game & not lose to avoid Denver. Maybe LA gets knocked out in Round one, but avoiding the champs isn't great either. I don't know if anyone else that would've played them first beats them

    The NBA

I'll stay away from betting NBA. Since it appears that not many would back Philadelphia, in favor of Denver, new era teams, the Heat, and of course Miami. It might be tough to avoid laughing if Embiid and company win out
  22. I'm not sure what Scottie Scheffler did during Monday's eclipse, but a couple things, IMO, are true. With his second jacket in 3 years, he eclipsed his first performance. More important, by the end of the month, his story eclipsed at least most of those that were treated to a very nice time. Fortunately, he didn't have to bolt mid tournament & back to Texas to be there for the birth of his first child. Which, by the way is bigger than both of his wins at Augusta. All jokes aside, one thing is isn't a joke is Scottie is definitely the best player in the world.
  23. Final pairings include Bryson & Xander (Third-to-Last Group) ; Aberg & Homa (Penultimate Pairing Group) ; and Scheffler & Morikawa (Final Pairing). Within the Top 5, from one player to the next, it's a one-shot separation (from -7 to -3, DeChambeau's spot). Schauffele is among 3 people tied at -2, and then the final 4 players in red figures include the two Camerons. I neglected to mention the third Cameron (Davis -2) on Saturday. He's five back. Also, Fleetwood has a shot, but there's just a lot of people within reach so he would probably have to shot a 62 and hope someone just do 50% of that. FWIW, I think 7 of the past 8 winners came from the last group. Probably should've been 8 for 8. Feels like it's been the case over the past dozen years. While we have a chance to see Homa win, someone new & unknown win, along with Bryson, if the trend holds we're either getting yet another player that's one event away from the career grand slam, OR another trend (where a year ending in the number 4 features Player A who put a green jacket on Player B who put a green jacket on Player A in a different year within a 3-year period)
  24. Max Homa had the best second day combined with the overall outcome after 36 holes. It's a 3-way tie with him, Scottie, and Bryson (-6). Morikawa is 3 shots back, and the Cams are both 5 shots back. To be fair Tiger has a chance, and Rahm, well, at least made the weekend. Rory will be playing this weekend as well. Unless proven otherwise, however, Jack's record at Augusta is safe, Jon will be putting the green jacket on someone else, and the number of career grand slam winners will remain the same. The only big name that missed is Spieth. Though Jordan played okay, the issue of blowing everything in one single hole was present. Biggest headline is a new record. 24 straight made cuts at the Masters for the 5-time Masters champion. That, I believe is a records in major events outright. No more than 40 people have even played in over 2 dozen major events in their lifetime. Woods' 100th round at the Masters is scheduled for Sunday, April 14, 2024
