Boston hasn’t even beat the Sixers yet let alone the Heat. Boston has home court advantage as long as they don't lose at home. They have, but they tend to regain it almost immediately after losing it. What I could've said was "LA would be better off allowing Denver to get crushed by the East winner, including Miami or Philadelphia (in addition to Boston). The Sixers would also home court. Miami doesn't need it. The point about the East is the same for the West. Los Angeles and Denver still have to play each other. LeBron, the Lakers, and company might not be popular, but that doesn't add up to getting destroyed by Denver. Do I think LA will win the West? No I do not. However, they can. Several of the cast has (championship) experience. Jokic is the real deal and probably should've been the league MVP, but this is the best team they'll face. If they advance, the East winner will be a slightly tougher test. I think it's Boston's conference to lose, and that's Philadelphia's fault. However, they're the opposite of the Sixers , who can't seem to close out anybody (really just Doc). Whenever the Celtics are at risk, they find ways to survive; they find ways to win. It's sort of annoying since they could win their series faster, but they just can't. As long as they don't lose 4 games, it's okay at the end of the day

Not going to look good for LA. Probably better off allowing Denver to get crushed by Boston to break the tie for the record title over having to stand there and watch it themselves

Yeah, TBH, I never had a problem with the "guys" thing either. I think saying, "Come on in everyone!" would have made for a better change. BTW, I wonder when they even dropped it? I think it might have been soon after Sarah from the original BBB "became Lacina" to which, while she was on point with Probst calling some dudes by their last names & not the women, I don't think the sample size was that significant. Sarah, IMO, did earn that honor for the last name thing. As for Jeff vs Carolyn, I guess I didn't react to it at all because, for me, it was Jeff being Jeff. I can see how it wasn't cool for Probst there, but I'd put it as a reaction to an action, or in this case, as mentioned, a response (from Peachy) to a comment (made by Wiger)

This is sorta like the Draymond Green scenario as it relates to Doc Rivers. What I mean is that Dray has a history of unnecessary behavior, and those in charge will not be lenient with him when it comes to ejections & league discipline. I don't know or think Philadelphia will boot Rivers if they lose on Saturday, but the percentage of that happening is not zero either. There's a big history of Doc failing to close out his opponents; that's not great for him, and the Sixers might see that or look back at the resume. Boston is a better team, or was, but there's a team down South that's crushing it. I'm not sure if that'll continue. I can see another back and fourth with Miami & Boston, and this time it wouldn't hurt the East winner unless Denver crushes it in the West Finals

All of a sudden, the postseason is turning into a point where I could consider watching an NFL schedule show in lieu of seeing Golden State, New York, Boston, and Denver act like legit dynasties in route to the 2023 title

If I had to guess now, I think Detroit will keep things interesting, but then Kansas City pulls away late for a nice 38-28 win. The Lions still have to prove that they can win in consecutive seasons. Or be decent. The good news is that the NFC North isn't that epic anymore. So we'll see... Meanwhile, looks like Tom Brady is truly done. And while one source is enough for mojo to kick my ass for going off script from today's NFL schedule day (or just bringing up TB12 in general), here's info from a more valid source since it's more possible that people can create fake accounts, playing the role of a legit media person. IMO, I figured that the honor and ceremony would occur in 2-3 years or so, but definitely before 2028 got going

I'm very sorry for your loss. It was the greatest night of my sporting life. The Braves winning the 1995 World Series a long time ago was great for me. But, that 3-1 comeback & never having to hear anymore about ESPN being gleeful about Cleveland not winning a championship since 1964 was even better. it was worth staying up till 4 in the morning afterwards. I know that some people on there (mainly Stephen A Smith) is still very salty about it till this day. Also seeing Steph taking that walk of shame on that night really brought a smile to my face. He & Klay Thompson sure wasn't smiling that night. It felt like a kid on Christmas Day. Hopefully, we will see another dose of that walk of shame on Friday Night. It's long overdue. I don't hate the Warriors, and I'm not a lover of CLEVELAND. That being said, I have to admit that was a great night. A Golden State contingent stopped at nothing to pimp how tremendous the Warriors were; sure Curry changed the game, but they had more of a benefit of past seasons as opposed to a franchise from Illinois. No, I was not happy about that 72-record being broken 2 decades later, so the only way that could be avenged was for the Cavs to win the whole thing. Of course, Oklahoma City could've avoid a three-game losing streak after winning 3 of the previous four, but that's history. Single-digit losses for the champs, a first in at least quite awhile, so it was fitting that the perfect mark of teams being up 3 games to one in the NBA Finals would end. Based on the above, a Warriors series win would be fair enough and nice. No issues there. However, a Lakers win is fine. I do not think they're winning the West. Game 4 was close, and Game 5 was the latest example of people in charge doing the opposite of what people suggest, because who are those people to tell the stars what to do. Yet another example of that stubbornness costing those in charge big time!

True, but it appears that the division matchups are all but non-existent. I believe it's happened twice, both games featuring New York. BTW, the data starts with Season 85 where the TNF kickoff made its debut, and it excludes the Packers/Bears game that replaced New England/Pittsburgh. Speaking of Pittsburgh, the second Cincinnati wins their first Super Bowl the schedulers are so having the Black & Gold travel to Paycor. At least in division football, there's a second game, but Pittsburgh probably would have a Monday Night Game prior, or Cincy would have a Thursday Night Game before that AFC North matchup. IMO, Detroit is less of a threat than Las Vegas. Sure the Raiders defense isn't too great, but it's division football. That might be the reason for the lack of division games for the champs. The Lions, save for Aidan, don't have a great defense

Looks like the league may not have been pleased with the reigning champions looking like anything but champions (even though it was against the incorrectly predicted Superbowl team in Buffalo). So, while Detroit might not be the Lions of old (which they still might be), Lions at Arrowhead is a nightmare for that NFC North team. I'm guessing they want their champions to end that big night with a win. So, they might get it with a simple game to the start the season

Ha! And the fact that someone said that was a "schedule leak" is someone being generous. That's not a leak, that known information LOL!

A couple more games, and pretty significant ones: NFL Season Kickoff Game (Thursday 09.07.23) has Kansas City hosting Detroit Jets vs Buffalo on 09/11 BTW, I forgot to mention how that Niners/Eagles game probably would've been the first game had Philadelphia toppled the Chiefs in February. I'm not sure what's up with the GMEN on that Monday, and while it's a missed opportunity for the NFL (I guess the number 22 isn't such a big number), Bills/Jets is better than Jets/Giants. Two successful QBs, & division football. It's the second consecutive year where it's NFC vs AFC for the first game. Even though Buffalo crushed LA last year, it's not cool to have someone from the same conference & a different division travel to the defending champion site. That could play out in the end (2014 is the best example). Last year wouldn't have mattered, 2021 was a problem in the short run; I like the NFC/AFC thing for that first game
-
He shot it for the entire series. That dog sucks, by the way. I'd have had more respect if it shot 2 for Golden State in its first 4, and then whatever else after that is fair enough

Football is king & I'm not going to shocked if a schedule show beats something in ratings. Though I'll be a bit surprised since ESPN has the NBA postseason, which I will be watching in lieu of a schedule release that will be disclosed prior to the first tip-off. I'll still flip over when I can since I don't do commercials, but that's about it. I guess, speaking of ESPN, the show is on the deuce in addition to the NFLN. I still preferred the schedule release as something that preceded the NFL Draft, BTW
-
At least your team opened up at home at least once since 2015. That being said, I'd tune in for the reactions and predictions based on the scheduling, and I agree the overreactions are fun to see. That's how I've taken in the schedule in the past. FWIW, it's not like the teams didn't know who they were playing after the "season finale" wrapped up LOL. One more thing I'll say about Week One and who you're playing & where: just win the whole thing and you'll be happy for that opening week. Except what occurred a decade ago. Key matchups that were announced on Wednesday (prior to a day where everything will be disclosed) include: Dolphins at Jets (11/24/2023): First Black Friday Amazon Prime Game Niners at Eagles (12/03/2023): NFC Title Game rematch during Week 13 Giants at Eagles (12/25/2023): That's the final Monday of the calendar year Bengals at Chiefs (12/31/2023): Same time of year about, but first regular one at Arrowhead In this year's NFL International Series, Jacksonville will play back to back games. First time in the 16-Year history someone's playing twice outside America, I believe.

I guess it may be time to bolt back to LA with an arrival prior to 9 PM Pacific. Or after that time, just as long as it's in one piece
-
To be fair, it wouldn't be an upset at all if Los Angeles lost each of the next three games they have to play. I think it's doubtful since Ham would rather not lose his job before the summer. It would be pretty unprecedented in a way for someone but it would be a surprise if people got hurt well before the series ended. That's probably why you'd want to see James and Davis bolt as soon as possible, but that might be too late. FWIW, since a Warrior won the first ever conference MVP, it would be more fitting to end things tonight (or Sunday) than avenging 3-1 from 7 years ago. Finally if you pull Anthony and LeBron too soon, it could get to the point where Steph and company exit early to where they can get some rest prior to a Game Six. BTW, I don't know how much of a big deal it is if the Lakers clinched a day before or the day after Denver (should they win the series)

Yam Yam winning immunity, IMO, was a work in art. Probably might be the best thing that could've happened to Tika!
-
Dress rehearsal for 90-minute Survivor WOOT!!
-
For real. Though Peachy's messed with a lot of past people that are more fatal...to where an octopus couldn't count on any of the hands
-
For a minute, yep. But that's happened before. Someone's still getting booted
-
Oh great, this nonsense again. No surprise for them having this total crap. Wake me when it's over
-
The finale if she gets that far. And before final four
-
Probably not much different. Just 22 extra minutes of MEH
-
It might not matter unless it's not for her. What might help is if one of Tika wins immunity
-
Everyone is getting it here. And no, Yam Yam, it's not going to hurt to write down his name
