  1. I assumed the same. I'd like to think Lane eased up with Rory's encouragement to try sex again -- on a bed! No sand. Sand bad. Yowch.
  2. I wish I could give this more than one heart react. It's gotten to the point now where I'm struggling to even have GG on as background noise because the characters are all such awful people.
  3. I somehow forgot that this would be the case as it was last week and just read the archive to see tonight's questions. Guess I'll skip watching tomorrow. I feel silly now.
  4. Football preempted LA last night, so our episodes are a day behind. I thought I was going crazy that all conversation about "tonight's" clues were dated yesterday.
  5. Throughout the whole series, it was obvious the writers never bothered to read a cookbook and get an idea of what goes into any foods. The one that always gets me is when she's grilling Luke, "Do you put walnuts in your bechamel?!" It's a mother sauce: butter, flour, milk. No one would think to put walnuts in there. And most of her food combinations sound terrible -- just throwing together a bunch of ingredients/foods the writers think sound fancy.
  6. I just read that it's been canceled. 😢 ETA: Figured I should include a link: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/stan-evil-canceled-at-ifc-1180473 I'm so bummed!
  7. Ball python. The show also repeatedly denigrates stew. What's wrong with stew!? Both Richard and Rory love pot roast, which is fine, but it's not OK for anyone to like stew, which is essentially just pot roast in a thick broth. Neither Lorelai nor Rory seem to have proper command of the English language, despite the show constantly telling us how brilliant they are. They constantly misuse good vs well, which drives me up a wall! Lately, more often than not, when I turn on GG, I groan, "Ugh. This episode annoys me." and turn it right back off. In addition to all their personality flaws, I find it harder to also ignore all the things we pick apart in this thread.
  8. Agreed. On both -- Cyrus is the name of my pet snake.
  9. The Good Bloopers! I wish they'd included more of the improvised lines, because these actors are genuinely funny people.
  10. I am in love with Rio and Jeana! They both look FIERCE after their makeovers, and neither of them are drama queens. Liz can get the eff off my screen any day now. Agree with the assessment that Tyra is trolling Christina with that horrible green-hair-black-roots. How is that supposed to be high fashion? And Liberty's hair is barely even strawberry blonde; not red, and definitely not ginger (or fire crotch). And Ivana was a total mess. But really, how hard would it have been to have given her some very simple, but very necessary, and real direction? Like... put your chin down! Her entire shoot was looking straight up her nose. They tell these girls to practice and "learn your angles," but so rarely offer useful critique. Oh, and yeah. Law still sounds like a junior-high dropout with a heart of gold, but he looks fine without all that hair.
  11. Jeana has alopecia, so that's a wig -- and not a very good one. The first half of the episode, she looked like a Barbie doll with Barbie hair. Her face looked much better than it did last week, though. Like she's gotten some sleep and a good moisturizer. I'm not going to miss homegirl, and hope Brendi and Liz will be next, though I doubt it; they bring the drama. Haven't decided who I'm cheering for yet (and still learning names) but I think I like Rio so far.
  12. Eons and eons ago, when Jackson was newer, didn't he say he was bullied and made fun of during school (especially because of his eyes)? Now, he was an all-around heartthrob, and prom king as a freshman? I'm having trouble finding the quote from whenever he said it, though.
  13. Talk about Maximum Derek! Gonna have to give an unpopular opinion here: I LOVE this show. LOVE love love it. And while the individual jokes, the delivery of said jokes, and omg the costuming!! were perfect, this was among my less favorite eps this season. Too many overdone tropes. "Hide in this room -- no one ever uses it!" of course telegraphs that the room is about to be put to use. That they would get to the portal and not have enough pins. That Michael would make an Ultimate Sacrifice to protect one of the humans. For a show with such fresh and original writing and plotlines, I was disappointed there were so many easily predictable scenarios in one episode. Things I did love: Everyone looking like straight-up hotties in their disguises. Dax slyly hitting on his wife. "I'm luggage!" Molotov cocktail -- and how it creates a new problem. Every time Bad Janet says "Fat dink" with a heavy emphasis on the "d." Farts!
  14. I've never looked for them (just googled for three seconds now), but don't think there are any available, sadly.
  15. A simple "heart" isn't enough; I gotta give you a hug. I put reruns on in the background while I'm doing other things, and the more I watch, the less I like Lorelai and Rory. Very self-absorbed, very loud, often shrill. And I'm 103% with you on #2 and 4. Yes, Jess showed profound growth, but that's not difficult, given that he started down at rock bottom.
  16. I can't be the only one who's dying to see outtakes from this episode! I was impressed they were able to get through an entire take with everyone keeping appropriately straight faces. That whole absurd dinner scene was a surprising delight -- I expected to groan through the whole thing. "You're right! The mustache does make it more fun!" And Max's comment about Bert and Ernie being gay. The dance-off between Fernando and Jesse. Joey admitting his kids are basically Satan's spawns... Loved this episode. (Though I did love Vicki's return in the next ep.) I hope they put her back together with Danny -- especially with her calling out all the weird Full House stuff.
  17. And I *loved* Fernando trying to be Jewish. His mispronunciations really got me. I had to rewind to make sure I heard correctly when DJ made the boob job joke. I much prefer the jokes than seeingher boobs all over the place like we did in S1; that was over the top.
  18. That sounds like a Jamie Oliver line. I couldn't articulate exactly why, but I can't stand him.
  19. Speaking of Walmart, who decided that the song "It's Raining Men" was a wise choice? I'm so baffled that I can't finish any sentence I try to start about it. https://www.ispot.tv/ad/ws_U/walmart-last-minute-gifts-song-by-the-weather-girls?autoplay=1
  20. Thank you! That has bothered me every stupid time this commercial airs.
  21. I absolutely adore this commercial. As a woman who's into cars, I love this new wave of car commercials spotlighting girls/women (and there have been so many!). I loved this one was a little girl wanting to win a pinewood derby (which usually makes you think of Boy Scouts) and correcting her dad's mistakes along the way, and not the other way around. <3
  22. Mine, too. It's filling the hole left by Better Off Ted. I can't believe a new show I love isn't getting canceled yet!
  23. If I quoted all the posts I agree with, my post would fill a page. I just want to hug everyone who's with me in hating Jess. He's such a jerk! And he even admits it, in so many words -- how any of the #TeamJess people can overlook when Rory (I think?) calls him out on once being attentive, and then turning into a jerk, and he replies that "Yeah, I was trying to get you before, and now I have you." That it was all about the chase -- which when you think about in context of the potential rape scenario just discussed is thoroughly disturbing. Would he have ghosted her if he had succeeded? There are a hundred other reasons I can't stand him (especially since I've left the marathon on in the background, and that's a lot of Jess all at once), but most of you have expressed it more eloquently than I would, and have hit most of the salient points. Group hug!!
  24. This commercial. I loathe this commercial. Nails on a chalkboard. Can't even understand the ONE word they're supposed to be singing.
  25. Likewise, I've only heard it on Pandora -- which is the worst! You can't pause then FF or switch stations (easily) through Pandora, so you have to listen to it from beginning to end. And it's not even an effective commercial; it took me forever to even realize what they were saying.
