  1. OMG! Tamra is the new resident "Jesus jugs"!! I´m a christian and I´m loving this (even though I´m totally the opposite of such possibly shallow christianity) because I´ve never not liked Tamra. I know, she´s been an awful, evil person a bunch of times, but she´s also been entertaining in her bitchiness. So if she really goes all Jesus-freak on us, I will officially start to love her (until when or if she seems fake in her redemtion arc). Brandi from (the trash) Beverly Hills would just reap my contempt if she tried it, but Tamra has never sunk deep enough for me not to be willing to embrace her - if - she did something cool like going to church and talking about a deep personal relationship with God. I remember when Heather first came on the show, she was so classy, with a kind-of real career as an actress, and I was just mortified by the way Alexis kept acting the fool around her, giving Heather the upper hand (because I just wanted Alexis to behave like a normal person) but now Heather has become such a cartoon character, she always brings it when it comes to showing off, but it´s become a joke. She´s not trying to hide anything and her face and the way she shows off is more scary than 10,000 Alexis´ and Jim´s combined.
  2. I don´t know who that is but the music was the only thing I enjoyed about the first episode. I so hope that this gets better, I had trouble understanding the plot (I´ve never had that happen to me before on a good show) and I need some more shows to watch, I hate almost every new show that comes out. The first season was so disturbing and just awesomely great, so maybe things will pick up...
  3. I wanted this to be a about a really sinister and crazy government experiment, that would have made sense. Maybe something to do with the future but as it is, it has lost all charm and mystery.
  4. Some of the funniest things have been said in this thread: Heather is a plastic vampire, Shannon is a passive-aggressive terminator - SO TRUE. I dislike Heather as a human being but as a materialistic and arrogant plastic vampire she rocks. It came out about Terry last week that he has only changed a diaper once (I doubt he has any real connection to his kids - bu that´s just my feeling), and these are the people who were putting down Jim and Alexis. Heather and Terry are so clueless and classless in their superiority over others. And the intro when Shannon says "when life gives you lemons, put nine in a bowl", is the best ever. But other than that I don´t like anything about Shannon this time around. She was okay during the latter half of last season so maybe she´ll bring it again but we´ll have to see. Her husband´s voice is sometimes weird.
  5. I´m wondering, has there ever been a likeable Jim on a housewives franchise? There´s this Jim, then there was Alexis´ Jim and I think the most awful one, Amber´s husband in New Jersey, was called Jim as well. Correct me if I´m wrong, but there seems to be something in a name.... (even though I personally always liked Mr Alexis a little bit, he was fun to watch, just as clueless as her but in a different way). I absolutely loath Heather after the way she treated Alexis. She´s the worst hypocrite ever, across all the reality tv-sphere. She never stops bragging, all last season it was bad but now with the house and everything, I´m afraid she´ll become even worse. If I had shamed someone for bragging a little bit, mostly in private, I wouldn´t go crazy doing it constantly on tv. So she´s obviously dumb (but gets away with it because her castmates aren´t the brightest bulbs either). And she´s got a super scary face. At least Alexis and Jim seemed to try to be good parents and I´m convinced they have instilled better morals and values into their kids than Terry and Heather ever could, with their worship of money and exterior looks. One thing I noticed about the new girl is that she kind of looks like Tamra, from the nose to the forehead, she´s like a gorgeous, young Tamra. It was a bit funny since Tamra said she was her taller mini-me.
  6. I´ve been speed/binge watching this show for the last few weeks (after dropping it from my watch list in season 1 - I started again on S2). I sort of like it due to how silly and snark worthy it is. Having said that, I hate so many things about the "David is back" storyline, and I feel his character could absolutely be played by a robot. Victoria is an amazing psychopath villain, so I hope I will see her get what she deserves sometime soon. Like so many others here I absolutely love Nolan. I hope he gets a normal friend some day. Jack is pretty cute. I don´t notice bad actors easily but after reading about Charlotte on these forums (I didn´t do that until S4) I am dumbstruck by how bad Crista B. Allen is. Also, her character sucks, so being rid of her made this episode great.
  7. After watching part 1 I actually thought that most of the guys were very good-looking and then come part 2 at the rose ceremony and I was almost thinking that they must have switched them all out and brought in new scary looking dudes (shortly before I became aware of the "amateur sex therapist" and got a bit dissociative and started longing for a new season of Burning love). I guess I just noticed the cute ones and tried to block the others out. It was also confusing seeing both Britt and Kaitlyn talking to the guys. From those that stayed I find he healer guy to be just plain scary, it would be fun to watch him leave and go after Britt... And one of those guys has a serious case of Crazy eyes (putting Ramona from RHoNY to shame) and one´s got vampire teeth. Oh and JJ or whatever he was called is so annoying and weird. Still, there were at least 3 I think are really cute and some 2-3 that seemed okay. I´m used to not seeing the attractiveness of the bachelorette contestants so this all feels normal.
  8. So, watching this was, on the scale of 1-10, a billion times more fun for me than the usual bachelor/ette fare. Most of the guys also seemed very handsome, more so than in previous seasons I think, especially the Shawn who liked Kaitlyn and showed her some kid´s drawing. And maybe the dentist. The welder seemed to have a good personality. I wish there could be 2 bachelorette camps, so neither one would be hurt, they´re both okay for the job, even though Kaitlyn has more substance and I like her way more. Britt is always so over excited, like when the men were telling her they had kids, she was about to explode from excitement. I would be like: "yeah okay that´s nice". Someone up thread said the healer was creepy and I must agree, he´s a very promising weirdo (but I doubt he gets to stay long). The singer/songwriter had a horrifying intro but when he was in the house and talking to Britt he seemed genuine. Not at all like the Wes 2.0 I thought he would be.
  9. Asa´s mom & her cats are the best things I´ve ever seen on any Bravo show. I find the rest of the cast to be funny-looking, crazy and weird mostly (with a little boring mixed in) and I think the show has gone on long enough, I mean I enjoy watching it but I´d love to hear that MJ & GG were really doing some of the things they talk about wanting to do, like having families and stuff. It´s embarrassing to see them drunk and acting like fools all the time. Even though their antics are funny, I would just like to know that they´d finally grown up before they turned into Reza, who is just yuck (I like him in some ways though).
  10. Following episode 5, I´ve got so many thoughts. My first one is about feeling thankful for all the Mark Francis stuff. Finally, he got like three good scenes. To my surprise I kind of like Toff now! I hope she didn´t do something awful in previous seasons that I´ve forgotten about though. She has a crazy face (a more seldom relative of "crazy eyes") and she´s always smiling such a cute and big smile. She´s a bit of a female Jamie. I love Binky and Lucy, and their talks are a big part of the show. I was a little annoyed with all the new guys, they were a bit much as well as the new girls in previous eps, but I guess the girls need some fresh meat to keep going. Stephanie brings a weird vibe to the show, she doesn´t really fit in, but that is kind of her thing. And oh wow, it seemed to me, kind of, that Jamie has started turning into a man, he looked so good at the bar when he talked to Jess. I´d have jumped him, he´s gonna be very good looking one day (when fully evolved). Both him and Andy need to kick Jess to the curb, she´s not good enough for either one of them. And finally, may Alex and Nicola now go away and live VERY HAPPILY together, for a while or forever, they are just useless as cast-mates.
  11. Fleur has me (for the moment) since she totally acknowledged Andy´s superior attractiveness. When they were introducing all the new people in the first episode I almost thought it was a different show. And that scene in ep 4 (I think) where Mark Francis meets Toff (?) at a really cool library I thought "oh no not another blonde clone" but then I remembered her, I think, I recognized her name and voice (both extremely annoying btw) and I think she was on the show before, but I can´t remember what she did or whom she was connected too back then. I like this season but I could do with a character cull. My vote for the first to go would be Alex and Nicola. Then Stephanie and her boyfriend.
  12. I´m 2 episodes into the season and I seriously dislike some of the new girls, mostly Nicola and Jess. I find it kind of funny that Alex is now stuck with Nicola, she´s such a step down from Binky, but I don´t want my beautiful, sweet Andy to fancy Jess. She´s not cute (but better than Nicola) and there´s just something seriously annoying about her. I used to hate Andy on his first season but he won me over later by being a good guy in a sea of scoundrels and immature boys. Nicola has the most stupid face I´ve ever seen on MiC, and the way she talked about Binky was NOT CLEVER (fake!). I´m sure Binky will put her in her place somewhere down the line, but we´ll see. I can´t help but like Lauren, she´s got good screen presence, and I always want Mark Francis´ scenes to last longer, they´re always great. Proudlock keeps on being too gorgeous with too little screen time. I love Jamie but deep down he always annoys me at the same time, and him acting like Nicola and Jess are in any way fun or pretty just seems fake.
  13. Lydia claimed to have skimmed through Petty´s book, and I´m so curious to know if she can really read... I would bet on the answer being no...
  14. Jackie looked totally demon-possessed at the dinner, her eye was twitching and everything. These women are so annoying (except Chika and Gamble perhaps), I was especially happy to see (my favorite) Gina holding her own against the howling banshees. Finally she was on-point fighting-wise.
  15. Wow this episode was totally one of the most intense tv experiences for me so far this year, which means that I loved it. When Jamie finally showed up at the court all like "no-one flogs my wife but me!!" I officially forgave him for that awful stuff in episode 9. He´s so gorgeous. If I was in Clare´s shoes, I´d try as hard as I could to keep a low profile, just enjoy living in castles and taking long walks through the beautiful countryside (without the finding dead babies stuff though).
  16. I´m so disgusted by Apollo and everyone on the show that is taking his side in the "should small children always visit their daddy in prison"drama. My opinion is that Apollo is 100% to blame for himself being in prison and away from his kids. I don´t think he respects his family, including his little boys, and he does not care at all about what is best for them. Hearing Peter & Cynthia and Kandi & Todd talk like Phaedra is somehow to blame for poor little victim Apollo not seeing his kids is disgusting to me. "She´s not allowing him to see his kids buh-huu". Yuck. And the way he was acting on the phone call, I was so hoping that someone would explain to this known and self-confessed liar, idiot and thief that if he cared for his boys he would not want them to think that going to prison was just okay or normal in any way. Peter was kind of there, but didn´t go far enough and the others are always pampering him. What are they so scared of? Or are they so morally bankrupt that they don´t care? Cynthia isn´t being a friend to Kenya, I wouldn´t want my friend acting that way towards someone that lied about me like Appollo did about Kenya. I truly hope that Phaedra and the boys come out of this even stronger than before, the boys are imo not better off having a close prison-visiting relationship with Apollo. I remember when Kandi was discussing this on a previous episode she sounded like her family had dealt with something similar and in that case the kid/kids was branded a gangsters kid and always visiting the prison, learning about his roots in that regard, and it really fit Kandi´s world where every mess and drama is made to grow and grow into something really ugly and sad, like her relationship with her mother. I hope Phaedra never takes any advice from someone like that (saying that, I´ve always been kind of a Kandi fan but this season I´ve not liked her at all).
  17. Exactly! I was so disappointed by that scene. I skimmed over the thread and saw people debating his actions by using examples of "wife-beating through history", and I want to add that I really don´t think it was well regarded for christian men to beat their wives and punishing them like children to "make them learn". It is stated in the Bible that women should obey yes, but it´s also stated there quite a lot that a husband shall be kind to his wife. Of course this has been interpreted differently but from my studies, I´m a student of history and related topics, I´ve mostly seen that even though it was not usual for authorities to become involved in domestic violence, the men that were known wife-beaters were frowned upon and more often than not considered scum and a lower form of male. I´ve seen so many exampled of that, and none of the other (but my sources are not scottish so maybe this was acceptable there in that time). That men would think to paddle their wives, mothers of their children, on the ass like unruly kids seems far-fetched. Not even in the totally misogynistic past that I´m not trying to glamorize in any way can I see it as normal. I really like this show, or should say liked maybe, because the focus is so much on Claire´s relationship to Jamie and that has almost been ruined for me now. I don´t like the politics so my main thing is Claire and her survival in this adventure. I think her character is great. Jamie has been ruined for me, although I have a short attention span when it comes to tv and he´s so cute and was sweet when he was repenting of his stupidity, so maybe I´ll forget it in time and like him again. Also, for me, all the sex scenes are just too much, for too long and too explicit. I think this show beats Game of thrones in that regard, yet that´s always criticized for the sex and this gets a pass.
  18. If I had to decide between the two, I´d give Vida a "best mom ever" award. She´s cold, she´s mean, and she treats her daughter badly, but compared to Kandi´s mom Vida seems delightful and caring. When Reza was making fun of her it was quite funny, I don´t think anyone could do that with Joyce, her bad qualities are nothing to laugh about.
  19. I like her too, because she really scares me. Her look and the way she moves, it´s a mixture of creepy, alien-like evilness. I can´t believe she´s supposed to be a good cop, she doesn´t look or act like it. I´d probably cry if she looked at me with her jaw all puffed out, pure hatred in the eyes and a little smirk on the lips, seeing it on tv is scary enough. But that´s mostly the reason why I enjoy the character.
  20. Kim is a fake, evil, disgusting creature. I didn´t think it was possible to loath any "housewife" more than Brandi but Kim has managed to surpass her nastiness. I wish Kyle would stop saying she wants her old sister back. She should just throw the hag out with the trash (meaning Brandi) and continue on her way. Brandi and Kim are so low and ugly, I hope they will get fired (or quit) because I will not be watching another season with them. This show could be awesome with Lisa, LisaR, Kyle and Eileen, and 1 or 2 other newcomers.
  21. I was half through with the first episode when I decided to read the books instead (at least the first one). I´m really glad I did because the books are awesome. I´m sure I would enjoy the show more if I couldn´t tell when they were changing stuff or leaving it out. I don´t get the reasoning behind any of it. So far, I´m only on book 2 and I´ve only seen episode 2, so I have my hopes up that some good scenes and funny or scary characters from the first book are still to come. I agree with whomever said above that there seem to be some subplots missing.
