  1. Isn't Travis' Dad the one who wrestles kind of brutally with his sons? I fear for a grandson in that family!
  2. I actually watched the video of their 1/2 way through remodeling tour. I can't stand the way Carlin says "mirror". "Mirra!"
  3. This?! This is the "inspiration" for a 2 year old's room? How sad!
  4. That is an incredible savings! My daughter uses Warby Parker, but she's not yet in bifocals, so she wasn't sure if they could do them. She has a really cute new pair of glasses. She actually goes to the Oak Brook store to get them. I'll definitely get my prescription in writing today so I can shop around. Sunglasses are another concern. Last time I got the magnetic kind and those have worked out ok for me. I kind of hate switching them around going into and out of places, but I've read that the darkening kind of glasses don't work well with driving. I've been wearing glasses since I was 18 months old! I tried contacts a couple of times over the years, but I could never get comfortable with them.
  5. Warby Parker & Zinni were mentioned in the Joy/Austin thread. Do these companies only do regular glasses or can they also do blended bifocals? We are having eye exams today and I would love to save some money on the actual glasses this time around!
  6. I admit that I usually skim over this thread, because I don't find Jinger & Jeremy to be very interesting. So I didn't realize until now how batsh*t crazy & evil MacArthur is. I'm sure he thinks that white, Christian men who believe as he does, are meant to rule the world. I never thought Jeremy was very bright and that he idolizes this foolish, evil man, reaffirms that belief. Jinger, of course, doesn't think for herself and blindly follows her "headship". Yuck!
  7. Wow! MacArthur is a horrid, hateful person! Jeremy is a fool to follow him, but is likely cut from the same cloth. I hope their book bombs like everything else they do!
  8. Could you refresh my memory, @Cinnabon? What did McCarthur say?
  9. Carlin seems to have a need to live most of her life online.
  10. Jilldo should disguise Plexus as hummingbird juice and let Dave get these results!
  11. This makes sense to me. I remember Carlin being all shouty and in need of constant attention in the old shows (pre-teen & teen-age years for Carlin), along with another sister (Tori?), but Carlin needed to be the absolute center of attention. Actually, she was a younger version of Kelly Jo, imo. They both think they're a lot cuter than they are! When you think of how Carlin and Evan are (mis) handling this situation, it's actually very sad.
  12. I finally watched the video of Carlin's seizure in the parking lot. It was much less graphic than the seizures my brother has had. However, I really hope this whole situation isn't faked. That would mean that she is a really sick individual! I'm still shaking my head, trying to figure out if it's a scam. Did she have a real one once and liked the attention it brought her, so now she fakes them? How does that work? Does he know they're fake? Does she? She's been prescribed powerful meds. She does seem to have trouble finding her words at times. That could be the meds or something going on with her brain. All I know for sure is that this has resulted in him losing his job and yet they spend spend spend. They are an odd couple. I guess all we can do is wait and see and hope their kids aren't negatively affected by all of this medical drama.
  13. I woke up this morning thinking about this very topic. If Carlin's symptoms are a result of long Covid, she will be in denial that her disdain for the seriousness of Covid could be the cause. Most likely she'll blame the devil and if she starts feeling better, she'll go on a tour crediting the Lord for her miraculous cure. The Lord will then probably lay a burden on Evan's heart to continue their You Tube "ministry". 🙄
  14. I don't know how these 2 got a mortgage on their new place, but the mortgage company was likely counting Evan's earnings and fully expecting him to continue working. These two seem sneaky to me. They want what they want when they want it and they expect to keep what they have without actually working for it. If his job provided their health insurance, they are nuts to throw it away when Carlin is having all these health issues. I do know that he was completing training, but he must have been making some money or they wouldn't have qualified for a mortgage.
  15. @Scarlett45 - I'm so glad you spent quality time with Cousin T. IMO, you are handling everything just right. Poor L will keep chasing away people who genuinely want to help until there are none left...or hopefully she will someday find self awareness enough to ask for help and appreciate the help she gets. Families can be messy and you are wise to set boundaries!
  16. I don't know anything about Jeremy's previous careers. We're a few episodes in and rather enjoying the show. It's sort of like a British Green Acres. Jeremy is so impulsive and tends to seek counsel from experts after he's mucked things up. By the end of each show though, it usually works out okay. I'm sure some of it is set up - it's not my first reality show, but it's entertaining and informative. The countryside is just beautiful!
  17. That link about horrid Jill seeking praise for her parenting skills because Tim was fasting, while also bashing him for being a whiny toddler, also contained one of her famous "...Smile" interjections. She used to always do that! The memory did not make me ...Smile! I find no redeeming qualities in this woman!
  18. It's disturbing how obsessed Jill is with how tiny her pregnant daughter is!
  19. I agree. Because he was likely missing his map and he needs to have something to look at!
