  1. She made a comment about pitching softball in college during "Power Down" (season 3 Christmas ep) when she and Deeks were trying to short out that Tesla coil burglar alarm.
  2. When did Kensi serve in the military? We know that she joined NCIS in 2006 (Blye K, Part 2) and that she is 32 years old (same ep). Factoring in college, when would she have had time time to serve?
  3. One of the bonus features started out with Shane Brennan talking about how they had the season mapped out and the story lines planned and it was going to be great....and then Dani got pregnant. Which they were happy about but they had to retool the season. I'd be very interested to know what was planned, what got kept and what was re-done. No one elaborated which makes me wonder if some of the scrapped stuff might show up in Season 6. Seriously, what ep has this hidden/bonus scene between Kensi and Eric?
  4. Which ep had the bonus scene? I don't think that anyone actually thought Kensi was dead, just the visual impact of not seeing her until the end (and pretty beat to heck) would have been lessened. After seeing that scene, I really do think a ball was dropped in at least mentioning that Kensi had to see a therapist. Deeks and Sam both had to get cleared and meet with Nate after about an hour with Siderov. The Taliban had Kensi for a week.
  5. Sam that scene never would have fit in Three Hearts. I mean, Deeks told Kensi he loved her, only for them to both take a step back. You couldn't have put both those events in the same episode. I honestly wish that if they had to cut Spoils of War for time that a different scene was the victim. I love Sam and Callen and I was happy to see how focused they were on getting Kensi back but until the bullets started flying, those parts seemed to drag at times. And that utterly terrifying description from the terrorist about slowly cutting her head off, followed by a nasty beat-down, would have made Kensi's ability even stand up right at the end even more of a triumph. Then again, leaving the scene in would have detracted from the impact of not seeing Kensi until the end. On an unrelated note, the commentary for Frozen Lake was hysterical.
  6. Ok, Sam84 I have to ask: the deleted scene from Spoils of War, how many times have you watched?
  7. Can we discuss the DVD's here or do we have to start a separate thread? I really want to dish about some of those deleted scenes.
  8. I'm kind of looking forward to seeing Alex and Amelia interact. Those two seem liked they'd bounce off each other (and not in the gross!naked) very well.
  9. Sam how do you always have this stuff first?! The DVD's aren't out until tomorrow!
  10. Oh god I hope so! And if it's not on the DVD, I really hope it gets used in Season 6.
  11. I'm pretty late to the party but oh well..... I was utterly delighted that Shelagh and Patrick were able to adopt. The love on both their faces was absolutely heartmelting. But I couldn't forget the comment the social work made about the 16-year-old biological mom: her parents had changed their minds after the birth about letting her bring the baby home, which is why her placement was a scramble. Think about that: not only did this young mother not plan to surrender her child but it was her own parents who forced her into it. She probably had baby things waiting at home and was planning to parent her child. This culture of adoption and homes for unwed mothers is sometimes referred to as the 'baby scoop era' and for good reason. But I just can't get the image of that poor girl out of my mind.
  12. The bolded are among my favorite episodes. So I hold out hope that he will continue doing well.
  13. I don't remember posting that, although it sounds kind of familiar. I think Samantha84 is the one that usually digs out this sort of thing.
  14. I've been thinking about this, only because guardianship of my nephew was a recent topic in my family. Since I don't see Maura cutting the baby off from the Rizzoli's they might be just fine with it. Tommy is struggling with his own life right now and already has a child that he's not capable of parenting full-time. Frankie is just starting a very demanding career, would also be a single parent and doesn't have the monetary resources that Maura has (although I do hope Jane/Casey would be leaving plenty of life insurance). Angela is also struggling financially and still living in Maura's guesthouse, not to mention is at least in her mid-to-late 50's and has already raised her children. She might not want to start all over again (that was my mother's stance when asked about guardianship). Maura has the resources (ability to hire a nanny, room in the house, at least some control over her work hours) that the Angela/Frankie/Tommy don't. And if she is willing and able to care of the baby, then why not? Frankie/Tommy are still uncles and Angela is still Grandma. I don't know enough about Casey's family to factor them into the equation.
  15. I have this lovely vision in my head of Leonard being absolutely embraced by Penny's family. Her dad already likes him and I can see a mother-in-law that dotes on him and siblings-in-law that welcome him into the fold. I'd really like for Leonard.
  16. Adhesive Duck Deficiency for sure! And Zazzy Substitution.
  17. Actually I think it's rather realistic that Jane at least feel Maura out about guardianship. Casey's in a war zone and has already been seriously injured once. And it doesn't sound like there have been any decisions made about him making lifestyle changes due to the baby either. Should something happen to Jane, Casey won't be taken off active duty because he's a single parent. He'll still be deployed and expected to find childcare. I can't see Jane denying Casey his parental rights or limiting his time with the baby if he comes back from his deployment. But right now he is overseas and it's prudent for her to consider herself a single parent and therefore plan accordingly.
  18. I'm glad Jane told Casey. And I think is very realistic to say that they're not sure what his role is going to be. He's in the army and currently deployed overseas. By default Jane is going to be the primary parent until Casey is out of the service and back in the US. Kind of hard to even do the weekend-and-holiday thing when Daddy is in a war zone. Angela is so far over the line in telling anyone that Jane is pregnant. Not her news to tell. At all. Creepy killer. I really felt bad for those victims. Guys were just trying to turn their lives around and are thrown away like trash.
  19. Particularly if you are a homicide detective that doesn't have a history of getting sick at scenes (ala Frost).
  20. Thank you! I was just saying to myself when I posted that I should have just PM'd Sam84 since she always knows this stuff.
  21. Nah, I'm not worried. I'm thinking we won't see bump until very close to the end of the summer eps and a time jump going into the winter will take care of the rest. In fact I'd put money on delivery being held for the season finale and it being contrived that Maura ends up as midwife.
  22. KPC I could have sworn that that last interview in TVGuide that DR and ECO did (right before Spoils of War aired) they mentioned shooting some 'flashback' scenes of that nature in regards to the events of Frozen Lake. And we certainly haven't seen anything, Does anyone else remember this or am I crazy?
  23. Yes! That is exactly what I was thinking. Maybe the LA team just finds Wo Fat's fingerprints at a crime scene. Even if we don't see Wo Fat, Steve would levitate across the Pacific to follow up. With Danny in tow of course. And that will lead to funny.
  24. So, over at TWOP we had some discussion going about what we would like to see next season and I thought it might be fun to continue it over here. My votes: Another crossover with Hawaii 5-0, maybe have their big bad (Wo Fat) pop up in LA. Kensi apologies to Deeks for the hitting and never does it again Hetty getting in actual trouble for a few eps over setting Kensi up Callen and Sam getting called out by Granger for the stupidity of climbing in that sub. Anybody else want to chime in?
