  1. My plan after the first 2 eps was to hate watch this one, but it's honestly so bad I can't even hate watch it. For a proper hate watch, the show has to actually be trying, and this one isn't even doing that.
  2. One thing I kept wondering: why didn't they use the replicas on the mission, and keep the humans on earth? It seems more efficient since the replicas don't need to eat/sleep, and no murderous hippies would think it's a crime against nature or whatever. The thing about the humans only working on Fridays didn't make much sense to me, so maybe I missed some explanation there.
  3. I've only watched the first 2 of the new season, but I'm also glad they haven't brought back the simulated universe/digital "cookie" idea. They were leaning on that way too heavily over the last couple seasons, and it was starting to feel like lazy writing.
  4. The entire plot had Rick and Morty vibes, but it was actually easier to follow than most recent episodes of that show. I really liked this one. Lots of interesting social commentary as usual, and Annie Murphy was an excellent casting choice.
  5. Yeah, her clothing is barely clothing. Why not just be naked? How different would it be? I've also had that awful song in my head since they've played it 100 times between both eps. And one of the random background songs in ep 2 was definitely performed by the Weeknd. The whole production is clearly all about him, which is not a great way to make good TV.
  6. Somehow ep 2 was worse than the first. I just don't know who this show is for. If I wanted to be turned on, I'd just watch porn, because this isn't going to do it. And as a drama, it's ridiculous. I also can't figure out who all the handlers are. And why would they all be in the same place all the time?
  7. I think the thing that disappoints me the most with this show is the concept itself. The "bad girl pop star" isn't really a thing in pop culture anymore, and the trope of "I'm really an artiste, but my handlers won't let me express myself" has been done a million times. And this had none of the interesting visual flair of Euphoria. I'll likely give this another episode to see where it goes, but yeah, the pilot wasn't good.
  8. I was kind of hoping for a Wire-style flash forward montage at the very end. Great finale for the series, though.
  9. Let's not forget that Greg was barfing into the head of a theme park costume in the first season premiere. Yes, he's come a long way, but he's still a bumbling nobody in the Waystar/Royco world and not qualified for much of anything.
  10. Agreed. Greg becoming CEO would be completely ridiculous and off-brand for this show.
  11. I've just been waiting for him to do something that reflects some sort of culinary skill, and so far, I haven't seen it.
  12. Mencken spells his first name "Jeryd?" Also, how have none of the siblings not punched Greg in the face yet? Especially Roman, although he probably couldn't reach Greg's face. I had to take a couple of Tums when I finished watching this one for the same reasons everyone else here has mentioned.
  13. Watched ep 2 last night. Antoni made...a salad. I get that he was trying to show Stephanie that vegetables could be good, but he literally just threw some lettuce and random vegetables on a plate. I remember in the original series, Ted showed the candidate how to make a real meal (with a cocktail of some sort), and they had to make the meal for the life event at the end. It's pretty clear at this point that Antoni was hired to look pretty, and that's about it.
  14. Watched the first ep last night. Antoni made sandwiches? I am continually unimpressed with him. That frat house was truly disgusting. And that litter box - ugh. I'm a cat owner, and no cat should have to endure that. The makeovers were mostly good, but I hate to break it to some guys that long hair doesn't work on everyone.
  15. Agreed. I can't understand him most of the time.
  16. I finished the season and mostly enjoyed it, despite not knowing what the hell was going on most of the time.
  17. Mama's boy will never find a woman that mama approves of, even if he finds one that meets his ridiculous standards. That alone will keep him single for a very long time.
  18. Imagine if Greg has to fire Tom. What a scene that would be.
  19. Was Nate a virgin until this episode? Not that there's anything wrong with that, but given his awkwardness with women, it wouldn't surprise me. The hour long episodes aren't working for me. Way too much filler. I found myself looking at the run time around the 30 min mark, and thought "wow, there's another 25 mins of this?"
  20. I watched about 10 minutes of this then had to stop. She clearly doesn't give one shit about anything Ramit advised her to do, and I'm still not even sure why she was on the show to begin with. I wish Ramit would be more critical of some of the candidates. I like him, but he's too nice to some of these people. They need someone who is willing to offer some tough love.
  21. Aside from young people, it's amazing how many full grown adults in their 40s/50s and up have no concept of good financial habits. My sis is 45 and still lives on credit like a college student. She goes on trips, to concerts, dinners, etc. and puts all of it on credit cards, then makes the minimum payments. She's flying to Vegas in October to see U2, and the concert ticket alone was $550. She can't actually afford any of it on her salary, but doesn't seem to care. And I won't even get into her six-figure student loan debt. There seem to be a ton of people that choose to pretend their debt doesn't exist. I wish I could get my sis on Ramit's show, but I doubt it would do much good.
  22. I've been wondering if we'll ever see Kendall's ex-wife and kids again.
  23. Totally agree. The worst that happened is he went on a date with a vapid model that didn't like him.
  24. Really wanted some comeuppance for Nate after being terrible for so long, but I guess we aren't going to get that.
  25. I watched the update today. Amani has no desire to let Matt be a part of the finances. My advice to him would be to walk and get a lawyer. She'd have to pay him alimony and child support out of "her" money whether she likes it or not.
