  1. Agreed. I'm a big BM fan, but me and my wife both got bored with it pretty quickly. Aside from the gimmick, the story was just a bunch of nonsense. We gave up after devoting about an hour to it.
  2. I'm always surprised at how readily people send nude pics to people they don't know. Even if the person she was talking to was actually "Rich Dollaz," those pics could be distributed anywhere around the world at any moment. I'm married, and I wouldn't even send my wife nude pics.
  3. Just got around to last week's ep. My DVR somehow missed the ep where Deena was "kidnapped," but I was able to catch up pretty fast. I agree that the fight was likely staged, especially since the jerk's "friend" they talked to the second night was wearing the same shirt in both appearances. Both scenes shot in the same night, perhaps? Fake or not, I would not want to fight Ronnie. He's a hothead with anger issues, and he's doesn't care if he goes to jail.
  4. Mike was the worst. And my underwear provides more coverage than his "shorts" did. I'm guessing he'll be back in Connecticut before too long.
  5. Agreed - it seems like this "family vacation" thing will go on forever. When it debuted, my first thought was "who's gonna watch this? Nobody cares!" But sadly, I have watched all of it. It's crazy how much work Snooki continues to get. I saw where she's now co-hosting some show about bad tattoos or something. And I'm sure Mike will get a post-prison show. Aside from Snooki (and Pauly D), what does the rest of the cast do when they're not doing the show? I know Jenni and Deena have families, but, what the hell do Ronnie and Vinny do with their down time? Especially Ronnie. I can't really see him being employable anywhere.
  6. I promise you no one has ever called that woman "Jewish Barbie." Regarding Ronnie's potential hookup with her, I don't see why the rest of the gang was so distraught over it. Would it really matter if he hooked up with her (or anyone else)? It's not like his relationship can get much worse.
  7. This is a pretty standard wedding registry practice. People register for gifts with a wide range of price points so friends/family will have a choice in how much they'd like to spend. It's not about "need." And I'm sure Sitch has some friends with money (like the rest of the cast, for example) that will want to buy them something extravagant.
  8. Has anyone noticed how in the last couple episodes, Mike has been randomly adding an "s" to the end of words? It's so weird. Is it some inside joke we aren't aware of? I've been joking with my wife that I want a "Living My Best Life" hat to wear when I'm eating a big meal.
  9. Loaded up this ep on the TiVo, realized it was 2 hrs, and said "F this. I'm done." I don't even care that it wasn't really 2 hrs of show. I'm still done.
  10. I think a lot of these people are fine with what they have, for the most part. Texting/talking constantly is their entertainment, and if they try to start something in person, all that could go away. On a smaller scale, I've had friends who have met someone, gotten their number, then had a text relationship with them for a couple months. When they finally went on a date, it all crumbled pretty quickly. This show has definitely gotten worse over time, but I will apparently be watching till the bitter end.
  11. The scene where he ordered Domino's cracked me up. I wondered if the driver thought it was weird that he was delivering pizza to a pizza restaurant. But I do love David's enthusiasm for certain fast food items. I've heard him praise Chicken McNuggets, and I couldn't agree more. They're delicious. And I say that as someone who is relatively snobby about food and dining. Haven't watched the other eps yet, but I'm planning on diving back in tonight.
  12. I'm surprised they didn't include a brief segment at the beginning of ep. 1 describing their backgrounds and why they're knowledgeable in their field. Unless I'm remembering wrong, we got none of that.
  13. I didn't like that segment either. I get what they were trying to do, but it didn't play well at all. Nor did the MAGA hat. Sorry, but that would have made me walk. The straight guy from that ep (Cory?) reminded me of Kenny Powers. Even sounded a bit like him.
  14. The scenes in the Catfish "office" always make me laugh. There's a massive amount of work space, but it always seems to be mostly empty. For the ones that send people money: why do none of them ever ask for it back?
  15. Yesterday I saw the pancake mix on final sale closeout (hmm) at my local Kroger. At half price, I figured why not try it? I bought the Banana Pudding flavor and was not impressed. It barely had any banana flavor, and overall it didn't taste different than any other big-box pancake/waffle mix. It also wasn't sweet at all, so I had to drown them in syrup. Which is strange, since I remember Marcus mentioning they didn't really need syrup.
  16. And he went to a Pilates class! Was he in LA long enough to open a gym membership? It was indeed strange that they rented him a house in a neighborhood. If I had to travel to do a Catfish ep, I'd want to be in a hotel near restaurants/attractions/etc so I'd have something to do during the downtime.
  17. Regarding the segments with Nev and his wife, I feel like MTV is testing the waters this season with how viewers respond to them. My guess is that Nev has been pushing hard for his own show, but MTV isn't ready to commit yet. I can't imagine anyone wanting to watch anything devoted to them, because neither of them are remotely interesting or likable. But I think Nev knows that once the Catfish gig is gone (and it will be sooner than later), he's done.
  18. I'm not convinced that Matt's Plenty Of Fish pic was actually him. Unless he decided to completely change his image into emo dude at some point after that pic was taken, that pic looked like a completely different person.
  19. Me and my wife both cracked up when we saw her leggings/pants during the reveal. I'm always amazed at what people wear to meet the person they're supposedly in love with. And yeah, no more of Nev's wife, please. I don't even care about Nev at this point.
  20. Really liked this ep overall, and I agree about the pulpy Tales From The Crypt/Tales From The Darkside vibe. The tie-ins to previous eps were interesting as well, but I'm guessing a lot of viewers missed those since they can be watched out of order. The doctor's story was indeed disturbing (and the pulpiest), and the digital copy of the electrocution in the key chain was dark, even for Black Mirror. But yeah, I'd like to know how Rolo got his hands on all those crime artifacts. Due to the sort of "episode within an episode" vibe of this one, I won't question it too much.
  21. I wouldn't agree, either. You aren't legally required to talk to an insurance adjuster/agent IRL, so I'm not sure why it'd be required in this ep's world. Especially when you aren't even involved in the claim. They're going to go to the police because someone didn't want their privacy invaded over a self-driving car accident where nobody got seriously hurt? I don't buy it.
  22. I'm on the fence with this ep. The tech part was interesting, especially when you think about the potential legalities of it. I'd want an attorney present before hooking up to that device, but unlike verbal testimony, you can't control actual memories. And that might explain why Mia was so willing to start killing. In this future, it's close to impossible to get away with any crime. While watching, her murder spree seemed unrealistic to me, but how far would she have to go to truly erase all witnesses? Based on the research for the car accident, it seems they're hiding everywhere. As a piece of entertainment, it didn't hold up as well for me as some of the other eps, mainly for reasons that have already been mentioned here. The outdoor scenery was beautiful, though. I want to visit Iceland now.
  23. Really enjoyed this ep. I get the appeal of the Arkangel tech, but the added features were wrong on so many levels. It was great to see Danny Rayburn's kid from Bloodline playing Trick.
  24. I thought that as well. And I don't think his condo/apartment was on the first floor, so how did she get to the patio? This ep didn't quite work for me for several reasons, and it felt a bit long. I usually end up watching each BM ep more than once, so maybe I'll enjoy it more when I re-watch.
  25. I think the only thing keeping me watching is the fact that I've already devoted the time to 8.5 seasons. If there was only going to be one more season, I'd see it through. But there doesn't seem to be any end in sight. Once they finish the Negan story, they'll just move on to another villain.
