There is a direct correlation between Tony's new "friendships" and Rhodey's waning position in Tony's life. Rhodey may have been the first to approach Tony (silently), but who acts as the emotional center of that scene besides Pepper? Exactly. As far as Clint/Natasha, we'll just have to agree to disagree.

I mean all of the ships involved. Other than Pepper, Rhodey is established as the most important person in Tony's life. Yet he's ignored by the writers and fans (one guess as to why) for insta-ships in Bruce, Steve, Happy, Peter and eventually Stephen. Joss unreasonable hatred of all things Clint/Natasha means they get sidelined from any significant character interaction until Endgame (!) as Natasha is forced to play Fay Wray to Bruce's King Kong and Clint babysits the Murder Twins. To say nothing about the way Sam is regards to Steve compared to Natasha & especially St. Bucky. But shippers are gonna do what shippers are gonna do; especially when canon wildly diverges from fanon.

Most of those friendships were dropped so the writers could fan-service entitled shippers.

Could Okoye's throwaway line about earthquakes happening in the Atlantic Ocean be foreshadowing Namor, perhaps?

I'm aware, but since all the other pre-snap 'permanent deaths' in Infinity War were referenced in some way (Gamora/Loki), I'm surprised the Russos didn't figure out how to weave in one last Heimdall appearance (especially given him being Thor's best friend), ie: during Thor & Rocket's return to Asgard.

Andre has tons of friends. Tyra Banks GiGi is his best friend, and he has a string of other friends from the hood (usually played by comedians/comedic actors ala Faizon Love/Ron Funches/Affion Crockett/Chris Spencer/etc.) Rainbow has very few friends (at work or otherwise). Usually she ends up bonding with the nannies/housekeepers they hire. She recently made a friend (Angela) who was a hot mess, but she hasn't made any appearances beyond a single episode.

Vision is/was so powerful he had to be conveniently sidelined during most of the Civil War battle but nobody worries about him being too strong.

How has Carlotta not had one conversation with either Alex or Star about dealing with their recent trauma re: using her recent breakdown as a prime example? She's had enough time to play nice with Cassie (who has killed her husband, gotten her grandson kidnapped & is dating her ex), counsel Simone on praying & how to handle the whole Noah/Davis/Star fiasco, and made Gravity Records financially viable again. And I still don't understand how a show that has written Bruce so wonderfully could drop the ball with Cotton so horribly. Amiyah is a solid actress who deserves a strong character arc instead of bullet-point storytelling.

After all these years I re,aom surprised the show dropped Junior's potential friendship with Charlie's kid.
