  1. Cindy Crawford Jr is not nearly as pretty as her mom. Watching her attempt to act was painful. Right on par with Emma Roberts.
  2. Boo on Katie. The self righteous tattletale gets rewarded for being a self righteous tattletale. Hiss.
  3. Tom is in love with a fantasy and a memory. Didn't he say he knew who she was in high school (i.e. the homecoming queen) but she didn't know him? Yeah, the plot thickens. It would be just like me meeting David Cassidy (RIP) when we were both adults and falling for him essentially only because of who he was years ago and not even caring what he was like now. Debbie seemed pretty entitled and Tom seems like the perfect man to cater to her every desire. Yes, Debbie, dreams do come true. An ongoing clean house? Not so much.
  4. Well, I'm out. I wrote a post mentioning Harry, Rihanna, Cardi B and Nick Cannon, none of whom were on The Bachelor/ette, so I'm off topic. (Sorry, ByTor!) I've watched every bachelor/ette season except the first; I didn't even know that one was on until it was over. It's been fun but has gotten, I guess political, maybe, is the word?--which is fine, but I want fun. I was finishing out this season, so... It's been a (mostly) great time and I hope Katie's and Michelle's seasons are everything they want them to be.
  5. IMO, Rachael was no more racially/culturally insensitive than Prince Harry who, at age 20, went to a costume party dressed as a Nazi, or Rihanna, who has dressed up like the Pope for a gala in 2018, or Cardi B, who referred to her daughter as having "ch*nky eyes", or Nick Cannon, who once dressed up in whiteface and recently was fired from (but later reinstated to) a show for making anti-Semitic comments on his podcast; all were insensitive either to race or creed and all are still held in good standing. Rachael, a non-celebrity, is an easy target and everyone is happy to pile on.
  6. I hate to gush and fan girl out but Michelle is the whole package. She's beautiful. kind, intellectual, has a stable, service-oriented career, great role models in her parents--I would love her to be the next bachelorette, but only if she thinks it is the thing to do.
  7. Michelle is so beautiful and kind. I think I like her too much for her to be bachelorette?
  8. Having this conversation on tv is so wrong.
  9. I don't know; to me, Rachel's comments/actions scream "I've got mine! I'm set! Now I'm going to circle back to the show that gave me $100,000, true love and a platform that has allowed me to co-host 2 podcasts and work as a correspondent for Extra and have lots of followers on social media-- and I'm going to cut it off at the knees!" I'm guessing Rachel saw what she considered racism when she was a bachelorette on Nick's season. She then chose to accept the position of The Bachelorette and called out the show for racist practices. From what she's received from and believes about the franchise, it seems like she wants to have her cake and eat it, too, in that she considers the show racist but she's profiting off it. She's also back on Instagram (she deleted her account due to the backlash she received from the interview with Chris Harrison) after deleting her account 8 days ago. 8 days. Way to make a statement, Rach! But I guess being off Instagram too long will affect your bottom line. Here's her coup de grâce: "I'm not going to give any opinion on what I think should happen with the franchise, what I think (Harrison's) role should be moving forward," she said. "I think something is getting lost here, and that is, I'm not on the show anymore. I went on Bachelor, Bachelorette, I found my husband. I moved on."* She said this earlier this week--after starting a shi*storm because of her unhappiness with the show, unhappiness that threatened to topple a 20 year career and that villainized a current contestant. Wow--you've moved on from Bachelor Nation? You could have fooled me. *said last week on her Higher Learning podcast
  10. Wow, there's really a flower you can give that denotes how much you dislike the person? Tell me more! 😉
  11. I think it may be because there is about a 15 year age gap between the 2 of them. My dad's oldest sister left for college a few months after he was born, and my dad married late and I was his last born so one of my aunts was 60 the year I was born. There is a 26 year gap between me and the oldest first cousin on that side of the family, and a 24 year gap to the next oldest. This did make the relationship between us more like aunt/uncle and niece although I never referred to them as that. I think Mike should have picked one relationship and stuck with it instead of throwing out this cousin/nephew combo in his second season There was some cartoon a few years back called Uncle Grandpa. Mike's designation of Beau as cousin/nephew makes about as much sense as Uncle Grandpa.
  12. Happy Birthday! I love graphic tees, too. I have one that reads "Let's eat Grandma. Let's eat, Grandma. Punctuation saves lives." I had a lady in Wal-Mart want to take my picture and several people have asked where I got it.
  13. Will there come a day when you and I can say** that you've finally stopped drinking? ** Apologies to The Partridge Family and their song. "I'll Meet You Halfway."
  14. This made me laugh out loud. Yes, I'm 12.
  15. Thanks for taking one for the team : )
  16. I have a 2 word solution: spirit gum. (You youngsters, look it up.) 🙂 Actually, everybody might need to look it up. I don't think it's common knowledge. I only heard about it once, from my mom. It's an old timey solution for protruding ears that my mom told me about when I was little. It's an adhesive that keeps your ears from sticking out. (No, I've never used it--just heard about it.)
  17. And stupid. Not intellectually but stupid to try and give advice and reason with a narcissist like Chris. Why are they giving any credence to Chris at all? He comes in, says his ex-fiancée is pregnant and then just sits there, waiting to be the center of attention as they talk all about Chris. When he says he wants to divorce Paige and they say that he should stay with his wife, this is not what he wants to hear and he's done and ready to leave. Surely by now these men know what a narcissist he is. The pastor says Chris's child will know him and he doesn't need to stay with his ex-fiancée to raise his child. Normally I would think it best for the child to be in a 2 parent home but I would hate to foist Chris on an innocent child full time. No matter--he'll probably raise the child in his own image whether he's in the home or not---which is just what the world needs--another Chris.
  18. I love him, too. I went on Amazon and ordered this book. It's due to come in by mid-March. If anyone wants to read it after I do, send me a message with your address and I'll send it on to you. You can send it on to the next person who wants to read it---if there is one! I'm serious! All you Jerry Orbach lovers, let me know! Gosh, he was only 69 when he died---gone too soon. And to bring this back to MAFS--this is an interesting season. I don't think we've ever had anybody quite like Chris. The thought of him bringing a little Chris into the world is scary. One Chris is more than enough.
  19. Yes, perhaps Rachel Lindsay could speak to this. She made (per RS) about $100,000 as bachelorette. She cohosts a radio show, 2 podcasts and has worked as a correspondent for Extra. Now she spends her time talking sh*t about the show that is the reason she has all these gigs. Do tell!
  20. That's why I think they need a professional--someone who is trained to facilitate a discussion about race. I'm sure there are a multitude of universities they could turn to for guidance.
  21. Yes, race needs to be discussed, as does religion, salaries, spending habits, where to live etc. But these conversations are not usually shown. Didn't Tayshia eliminate one of her guys, maybe Ivan? because of religious differences? They obviously talked about religion, just not on camera. If there is an interracial couple on The Bachelor/ette, I'm sure they discuss race. It's just a personal conversation, just as money, religion, salaries etc are. And yes, TPTB think that the Bachelor franchise currently should be all about race.
  22. No, but he is someone outside The Bachelor universe. So he has no experience there. His background is football. He does, I understand, a weekly web series called Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man. So I'm assuming at some point in the show he'll talk about race. If so, since TPTB have decided against anyone with experience with the show, I would prefer someone who has educational qualifications (maybe in sociology, psychology, social anthropology) to facilitate a discussion on a sensitive topic.
  23. I'd prefer somebody who has some knowledge of The Bachelor---watches it, has participated in it. Anybody but Rachel.
