  1. I thought he had the nice house because he comes from money, not because his cushy job afforded the salary to pay for it. But I may have misunderstood ...
  2. I read that as "pretending to love a goyim." Oy.
  3. I'll try to stay unspoiled from here on in but I ❤️ Gregory so that makes me happy (disappointed, though, not to see Eric in there because I thought he got SOOOOO screwed his season).
  4. Not laughing at your mom’s backyard accident but at our apparent shared wardrobe. My fave-rave pants in junior high were red-white-and-blue bell bottoms with a patchwork pattern that had both paisley AND plaid and more more more! Sadly, a photo DOES exist from my sister’s birthday party, so the outfit is enhanced by my forced wearing of a clown face party hat. I’d have been happier being bitten by a rattlesnake and that’s evident in the photo but I loved those pants, especially when worn with a BUBBLE SHIRT!!!
  5. I was thinking at first that the kid shooting TK was way too much like Ryan being shot on Station 19, but it's not technically a ripoff, I guess, because I assume this episode was already in the can when that one aired, not too long ago. Love the Bernese Mountain Dog.
  6. Ditto ditto and mostly ditto ... 60, no plastic surgery ever (I have nothing against it, just not a fan of pain), decent genes ... I'm not a knockout by any means but I don't think I look 60, though then again I'm not sure what looking 60 is! But reasonably wrinkle-free, and have always had a young face. The "big girls," on the other hand, have not withstood the decades of gravity very well!!! And I'm not a big fan of exercise so, just like you said, I'm not fat but I've got more rolls than Poppin' Fresh. I had a really hard time last night trying to decide who among this season's bunch of misfits and weirdos is The Worst and I couldn't come up with an answer. There are so many candidates. But I'd put Stacey (and Darcey to a slightly lesser extent) atop the "WHY WHY WHY are we stuck with these creatures again" list, Ed on the "why would this no-neck nebbish even want to subject himself to national ridicule" list, and Lisa on the "just absolutely ZERO redeeming qualities whatsoever" list. Avery and Ash are way too boring for this season. Yes, I'm hooked.
  7. THANK YOU!!! I missed the opening credits, kept thinking I recognized the voice, and then didn't see her in the closing credits so checked IMDB. Just when I was starting to waver on how much I liked this show (too much Andy), they won me with this. I realize she's the heroine and everything and I guess we're supposed to root for her but she's left me cold from day one. I just want every day to be Miller day.
  8. I admit I sobbed out loud during this episode. Bravo for a Travis-centric ep (so sick of Andy) ... but I kept looking over and over at the credits to see who played Pilar and got nothing ... even on IMDB, Phylicia Rashad is listed in the episode cast but without the character name, while there is no Pilar listed so between putting that two-and-two together and a poster here referencing her I figured it out. I wonder WHY it was unlisted? She was outstanding.
  9. While I was too young at the time to actually watch the soaps I got enough exposure to "the stories" to have a childhood crush on Phil Capice, thereby earning myself the household nickname of "Lisa Capice-a."
  10. I am SO overdue on this (story of my life) but was out in LA for a few days in September (nothing special, just my daughter's birthday and her WEDDING) and for her birthday dinner we went to Nightshade (Mei Lin's restaurant) and it was ... not to sound like a boomer or whatever here ... EPIC. With four of us there (Mr. Snappy and me, Little Snappy and Hubby Little Snappy who ROCKS), we got to try everything ... the deservedly acclaimed shrimp toast was awesome BUT for me, the guava sorbet-white chocolate dessert was possibly The Best Thing I've Ever Eaten. I think it had me in tears from awesome.
  11. You and me both! I have a large handful of shows I love and am excited to have back, but when they are series like this, sometimes I'll actually rewatch the entire previous season or half-season because I have massive memory issues (medical, but that doesn't make me feel better knowing I'm not just a forgetful senior). This is part of the reason why I enjoy some of the reality shows where you don't have to remember all these involved plotlines when the show goes on break for a few months. It makes me miss the days of PTV/TWoP/whatever you want to call it when we had storyline recaps for pretty much every show. (And when TV only had three channels). (Somewhat random, but I have this vague memory that at some point years and years ago Nathan Filion was dating or otherwise involved with some distant relative of mine, a second cousin or someone I didn't know ... I could be totally wrong, though, and since all my relatives on that side are either dead or I'm not speaking to them, I have no way to confirm this ... and until becoming a fan of this show, it didn't matter to me. Crap.) Also, Mojito, love your avatar.
  12. That would be SO awesome! Or at the very least if they could have a variety of models like they did that earlier week and make all of the challenges be able to work for either (or all).
  13. I really love Family Yolanda. Especially her sons. Is it my imagination or did anyone else think during their talking heads that they were trying to keep from laughing? Guessing they know a lot more than they're allowed to let on at this point. Re: the AirBnB, IIRC we sussed out that Darcey was living in an AirBnB her first season (the one that had the kitchen where she cut the meat wrong). It makes sense for people with families on this show to be given alternate residences during filming for all sorts of reasons. I would totally watch a show with Yolanda's six kids. I could do without most of the rest of the cast so far (oh, also, I'd like it if Teddy came to live with the Yolanda kids).
  14. This episode lacked the levity I've come to count on from the show ... but I guess I'll forgive it for now. Also, I'm kind of blown away by how somehow Harold Perrineau is not only ageless, but actually looks YOUNGER than the first time I saw him ("Oz"). He is one handsome man.
  15. Agree that this current batch of designers is really weak in comparison to years past ... the only one left in the competition that I like is Marquise but I fear he might not fare well in the avant garde challenge. Here's hoping I'm proven wrong.
  16. Absolutely!!! I think I even posted (I know I thought it) that if there had been a flash sale that week I’d have bought it!!!
  17. I. Can't. Wait. I'm embarrassed to admit it (and maybe I have no life) but I can't wait ... 90DF AND The Rookie both back tonight. Also ... hope it's okay to ask this here ... just want to make sure everything is okay with Drogo. ❤️
  18. I don't know if it was my imagination, but it seemed like during runway the editors kept inserting shots of Victoria looking askance (my read) at other contestants and resembling, IMHO, nothing quite so much as DRAMATIC CHIPMUNK. Also, because I'm nosy like this, I tried to find the name of her famous soccer player husband who gave up his job for her (injuries do heal) and came up absolutely empty. Anyone here have a better Nancy Drew jaunty chapeau than I do?
  19. DYING. DYING. DEAD. But from my grave, I'm going to use this quote. Thank you.
  20. Absolutely this ... the bulk of my pregnancy (no pun intended) came in the late spring/summer of 1990 in northern Virginia and my job had me outside with no AC from about 2 p.m. to after 10 p.m. for 10-day/two-week spans on and off. Because I was already busty, the girls grew first (who knew they made LLL bras) and I had to start wearing maternity dresses at about 2 months just for them, so as not to buy two completely separate wardrobes ... I literally lived in big flowy cotton sundresses and/or XXXL tunic tops with light-material leggings with a lot of give. "Fitted" would not have been my friend. And we're talking early April through the first week of September (when I blessedly went into labor a month early). Safe to say, I was the only minor league baseball writer wearing maternity clothes that summer so a lot of those guys remember me even now when my baby is turning 30. I would have KILLED for someone who'd design flowing dresses that were light and comfortable and cute. I really LOVED the yellow dress, even if I suspect 99% of people could not make that color look good (Foluke -- sp??? -- rocked it though!) Also, my two cents here ... when it wasn't baseball season, during my stints at daily papers in the 80s and 90s, I covered high school and college competitive wrestling and seeing Helen Maroulis on this show was a huge treat ... she was/is a huge name in that sport and a true trailblazer.
  21. LMAO!!!! But I bet they make AMAAAAZING drag queen shoes!!! The best thing about my tiny feet is that I can fit into kiddie shoes which are not only often awesome but also cheap! I confess to frequenting the Disney Store at the mall ... I've got some truly awesome Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty peep-toe shoes, lime green and pale blue iridescent respectively, with tiny battery-powered light-up heels and puffy fluff balls on the front. Seriously. They go great with jeans and a T-shirt. NO ONE would know I'm 60 (unless they looked higher than my knees).
  22. If shoe size was not an issue, pretty flats are a great option splitting gap between heels and clunky sneakers. I wear a size 2-3 and can’t navigate in heels higher than an inch but don’t like athletic shoes either (Keds are okay). I have an entire shoe shelf of cute flats and sandals (I’m guessing latter not an option for Scout).
  23. I can’t help but wonder if Iron Gate was the reason for the non-elimination ... though the theory that the real woman episode and especially THESE real women and especially-especially when they all loved their designs was probably pre-planned and I’m just being skeptical. Also, my hatred for Victoria multiplies every week. If she wins it all I truly will be done with this show.
  24. So either my memory is really bad or the show has not shoved this down our throat and possibly both are true (I know the first one is) ... I very much adored Hima (is that the right name for her track teammate?) ... would not mind at all if they brought her back in the present day.
